Emotional Interview: Alleged Occupy Baltimore Rape Victim Says Activists Refused to Help

Raped and Robbed Occupy Baltimore Woman Receives No Help From Activists

The Wall Street Occupiers have become embroiled in a slew of sexual assault allegations in recent weeks, and now Baltimore joins the list of cities with Occupations that have resulted in rape charges.

In an interview with Fox Baltimore, a distraught woman who had previously joined the Occupiers claimed she was raped and robbed Friday night at the Occupy Baltimore’s waterfront campsite.

She made it clear that none of the Occupiers came to her aid or tried to help her identify her attacker afterwards. The unidentified woman also told reporters that she couldn’t go home because her attacker had taken her bills and knew where she lived.

With her voice cracking from apparent shock and rage, the woman said of Occupy Wall Street that “If this is supposed to be a good organization, it isn’t. It’s a crock.”

Another man who was part of the Occupy Baltimore protest told Fox that the Occupiers did indeed include dangerous people. The man took reporters to tent entrance where there was drug paraphernalia, including needles, strewn about the entrance.

Baltimore police patrol the Occupy campsite area but don’t go inside the tents.

A dispute also broke out between Occupiers while Fox was on site, and attention was quickly turned to keeping cameras away from filming the incident. A man who appeared to be an organizer said of the outburst that “people need to go through mediation…we have a security team that actively deals with these situations.”

The organizer also claimed that Occupy Baltimore had not published information that discouraged reports of sexual assaults to the police. But this declaration may have been parsing words. The organizer’s obvious focus on “published information” seemed a bit too specific for the question at hand. It clearly left open the possibility that Occupiers were discouraging reports of rape to the police by word of mouth– which has happened in other cities and appears to have been the case in Baltimore.

In fact, Occupy Baltimore recently revised its sexual assault reporting guidelines after distributing pamphlets that discouraged victims from coming forward to the police. The pamphlets instructed victims of assault to report incidents to the “Security Team” which would “supply the abuser with counseling resources.”

But at least some Occupiers at the Baltimore waterfront appeared undeterred by the assaults from whatever cause they believe they are supporting. “We have an agenda,” one woman told Fox News, “we want something done. we want jobs in our neighborhood.”

Violent rapes and rampant drug use, it seems, are irrelevant to the Occupiers when nebulous leftist activism is at stake.

    When an occupy movement started in our local town, I called the mayors office to complain that by camping out without a permit, they are breaking the law, and that it is very concerning when government starts deciding which groups of citizens must follow the law, and which may not.
    The person who answered the phone suggested I email my concerns as that way they become a matter of public record (must have been a conservative.) I suggest that if you have an “occupy movement in your town, you email the mayors office (should be able to find an address on line or call for it) and ask them why these groups are being allowed to break the law.
    Wouldn’t hurt to send a link to the list the Blaze posted on who is supporting the movement. Also mention safety concerns for people that live or work in the area.
    I’m going to try to post this idea on as many stories about OWS as I can. Every citizen has a right to protest, but none of us has the right to break the law while doing so. Protest – yes. Illegal activity – no.
    I’d be curious to know if these cities were chosen based on the local governments, and whether the organizers believed they would allow this kind lawlessness in the name of a liberal cause?

      These clowns doing the occupying are going to get swallowed up by REAL street people just like the girl on this video. If that guy who says there is internal security is going to protect the tent city against the real street life of cities, ha ha ha .. he is sadly mistaken and will probably lose his life. The people of the street KNOW how to survive and KNOW how to get away with crime. The “innocent” will be demolished very soon and quickly and “Occupy” will be over. Be careful what this Occupy morphs into.

      The movement was already swallowed up. It’s been coopted by every socialist/communist/racist group around. There are very few people left in the occupy movement that at least started the process thinking they had a point to make. It’s now mostly criminals/drifters/predators and other various nefarious individuals that are just taking advantage of the fact that there are places with free food and places to sleep where laws don’t apply and there are more naive idiots in one place than you could shake a stick at.

Could the BLAZE list the cities that are being “ occupied ” and the political party affiliation of each city’s “leadership”? This would make a great article which could drive home the point that liberal governments are NOT effective or efficient. Conservatives could move out and seek shelter in safe areas while the “ Little Detroits ” would self-destruct. – OR – Maybe THE LIST would help educate some Occupiers of the failure of liberalism. Another question; is anyone other than The BLAZE and FOX NEWS covering the questionable goings on in the Occupy Camps ?

      I did my research and the top cities with mayor and affiliation that are being occupied here in TN are:

      Chattanooga: Ron Littlefield (D)
      Clarksville: Kim McMillan (D)
      Knoxville: Daniel Brown (D) (interim)
      Memphis: A C Wharton Jr. (D)
      Nashville: Karl Dean (D)

      So there may be something to this. I think the Blaze should do some research into the cities and the political make up.

      Your absolutely right. My trade is plumbing, and the code I have to follow is a direct result of trying to control one of the greatest health threats to the public in the early 1900′s. Why is it these people are allowed to occupy and not respect sanitation policy’s that can effect the health of those who pass by. Like you said, I can’t just go camp anywhere I please. Camping with out a permit is most certainly illegal, even in some places when something such as the first day of trout fishing is concerned. I really don’t understand why these Mayors are allowing such a disrespect for the law. I will e-mail my mayor now.

They’re offering COUNSELING and MEDIATION??? How about a beat down then toss them over to the cops??     Another victim of the progressive agenda. These kids need to remember that the end justifies the means to these people. Complaint about being raped at an OWS event will garner as much sympathy as the kid who had his $5k MacBook stolen.

    These people lie to themselves with all the “99%” talk. They are the epitome of greed from wanting loans forgiven, to theft from fellow protestors, to “taking” sex.       Actually, they will use these occurrences and a growing escalation of violence to justify the next phase. The “top down” portion will begin as soon as there is an incident (provoked, directed or legitimate.) When the top comes down, lawlessness is not tolerated. It is authoritarian tyranny like we would imagine in N. Korea. It wont be the peace and love, save the world message. It can be called internal security or internal defense, watch for those terms. They are in effect, martial law.

    Along with violent rapes and rampant drug use, watch for an increase in physical violence such as in Denver, where an Occupier pushed a motorcycle cop over. That 33 year-old juvenile is being charged with a felony, one of many charges he has on his record. Seems he has never cared for law enforcement officers.

    As Americans, we need to fall on our knees and pray for God’s forgiveness, His guidance, and His Presence in our hearts and in our land.

      Are you sure you are taking these words in context. I know many people have many different interpretations of the Bible and it is up to individual to search the scriptures and find the truth. The Bible says to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, that was spoken to saved people. Lost people can‘t work out anything they don’t have. Thomas doubted way back before Jesus ascended and questioned if Jesus was really Jesus!

      If you read about the meeting prior to this meeting where Thomas didn’t believe Jesus was Jesus, you will see that the Holy Spirit came into the room and Thomas missed that meeting. That’s why Thomas had a problem believing. That’s the same reason people have a problem today, unless a person be born again of the Spirit, they cannot see the Kingdom of God! The key to seeing the right Jesus is being saved and receiving the Holy Spirit who will guide you into truth!

      The bible is very clear about how Jesus will return, and how satan will mimick Jesus’s return.
