Van Jones Criticizes Eric Holder for Operation Fast and Furious

Attorney General Eric Holder got some perhaps unexpected criticism of his handling of Operation Fast and Furious from none other than former Obama administration green jobs adviser Van Jones.

Jones told a conservative online radio program this week that while he is “not as well versed on” the situation, his heart “does break for what’s happening to the people in Mexico.”

“I believe that if this was happening across our other border in Canada, we’d probably take it a little bit more seriously,” Jones said. “I worry sometimes that we just don’t value all life the same.”

Under Fast and Furious — currently at the center of an ongoing congressional probe — weapons that were part of a tracking program flowed unchecked across the U.S-Mexico border and into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. They began turning up at violent crime scenes and are thought to be responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Mexican civilians, as well as that of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

“I think there has been too much silence about it,” Jones said. “I don’t know the details of the program or what Attorney General Eric Holder has done or not done. I do know that we need to declare some kind of an emergency and look at the situation down there and figure out what is going on down there and do better.”

Jones said he’s never “bit [his] tongue” in terms of his frustration with Holder, citing his “failure to prosecute any cases with the Wall Street debacle.”

On Fast and Furious, Jones said he does “know enough to know that something terrible is going on down there.”

“If the Tea Party is going to lead the way to try and shed some light on it, I’ll be right behind the Tea Party on it. I just don’t know enough about it right now.”

    If Obama is throwing the liberal crowd of yesterday under ther bus like bob beckle, then it is no surprise to see a progressive like van jones throw eric holder under as wel, not only to make themselves look good, but to stir up a bees nest, to involve the tea party or any freedom loving person into a gun fight at the boarder.

    Let’s see…there’s an undercover plan for chaos, it’s purpose is to remove a constitutional right…now let’s try to get the Tea Party in the middle of it, then call a state of emergency so the President can call for Marshal Law…and blame those right wing Tea Party crazies. Might have better luck involving the OWS gang…it does smell fishy…it’s pure, unadulterated manipulation.

    Van, you simple minded political fool. What is going on is not “down there”, but up here. And you know it. No, we do not need to “declare…[an] emergency”, though I am sure you and your brother Barack would love nothing more. What we need is to get rid of the criminally corrupt people in our government, like you were gotten rid of. What we need is the prosecution of the individuals in our government that were involved in the approval and coordination of the purchasing and delivery of 10s of thousands of guns into the hands of the drug cartels and gangs. We can start with Eric Holder. But it would not end there. It would hit every major secretary in this administration. THAT is what needs to be done. Because hundred of people have died. When you confront a murderer of hundred of people you arrest them, prosecute them and then put them to death. Do you remember the Nuremberg Trials? You should because they are coming for you. All of you.

      I tend to agree with you on this. Van Jones isn’t going attack a major “black” player like this without tactical pretense for the “cause”.

      Something “IS” up, in the policy development department. He was all about convicting George Zimmerman a month ago. His ‘life “IS” not valued the same’ rhetoric “IS” garbage for cover.

    Watch this Van Jones. He’s jumping ship only to clear his own hide. He’ll tread water long enough to see how deep the water is and then make his jump.       Ok – maybe I might re-think my long time of voting Conservative republican – and what the heck, I may just vote for Obama this time just to sit back and watch these wacky Liberals destroy themselves.

      I realize America will be lost and Christians, Welfare and Food Stamp recipients will eliminated by Muslim Sharia Law when Obama comes completely out of the closet.

      Think about it – Christian will be home with our savor and we can watch from the Balcony’s of Heaven the pure chaos that will be left here. The best part will be watching Chris Mathew’s and the rest of the Liberal Media trying to explain to a group of angry Blacks getting Tryvan revenge on the few whites that are left.     This White House party is at an end for the Latino vote. Does Jones think the Latino’s are dumb and will vote for Obama again with a a little bit of stroking. They see how Zimmerman is being ripped a new one and know if he had been black he would have got a medal from the Florida Gov. They also see what Obama did to Herman Cain – a man of color and now the Dems. are attacking Rubio.

    we dont have to value life differently on our borders Van, Life is Different!!!! Canada has a fairly Free capatalist population and they are happy. Not from the drug flow hopefully. Mexico has a different Government system and her people are jobless unless they live in the USA. Life is different between nations , Cultures , and peoples
