Escalating: Israel Sends More Warships to Egyptian Border

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military says it has sent two more warships to the Red Sea border with Egypt following warnings that militants are planning another attack on southern Israel from Egyptian soil.
Earlier this week, Israel’s military ordered more troops to the border following intelligence reports of an impending attack.
Israel’s home front minister said Tuesday that militants from the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad are in Egypt’s Sinai peninsula waiting to attack.
Gunmen who infiltrated Israel through the porous Egyptian Sinai border killed eight Israelis earlier this month.
The attack sparked calls to increase security on both sides of the frontier and created new tensions between Israel and Egypt.
No changes in security alignments were observed on the Egyptian side of the border.

Israel will not strike too hard without blatant full on attacks from the jihadists where they throw the first declaration of war punch. Israel knows they cannot be poked and prodded into a war which is what the Islamic militants are trying to do. If Israel goes on the offense too soon, they are done as a nation. Right now their best offense is a good defense and protection of their people. I fear that the militants last gasp for a war must happen during obama’s pacifist administration. Because if they pull this crap when Perry is in office, it wont go well for them. Perry WILL help Israel. Make no doubt about that. Pray for Israel, and bless those who stand by her.

Remember we still have a battalion (700+) of US Army infantry troops in the Sinai as part of our treaty obligation as part of the Multi-national Force Observer peace keeping force.
Yes, we need out of this mission but in the meantime we‘re still there so we’re in the middle of this no matter what.

I do believe the the middle east tribes want to decide how their sovereign nations are going to be run, something that was denied to the Egyptian people. Mubarak came to power and was allowed to stay there through large amounts of aid from the United States. So what if brutalized the people, had no concept of human rights, and was a man who was, at a minimum, as evil as Saddam? He recognized US and Israeli interests, so who cares about the large amounts of innocent people brutalized under him.
