Even Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann are Coming to Sarah Palin’s Defense Against New Book

Even Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann are taking Sarah Palin’s side against a new book making wild claims about the former Alaska governor, including that she engaged in multiple affairs and once snorted cocaine off an oil drum.

On his show Friday night, Maher steered the roundtable discussion from joking about Palin to talking about the book, saying many reviewers, including the New York Times, thought Palin got “a raw deal” over all the unsubstantiated rumors that were published.

Olbermann, who was a guest on the panel, jumped in to defend Palin, albeit haltingly.

“I’m — I’m actually — on Sarah Palin’s — side on this,” he said hesitantly, before assuaging himself by quickly adding: “That woman is an idiot.”

Olbermann conceded that Palin is a public figure and writing about her is fair game, but still sounded perturbed about the book’s content.

“Most of the stuff in there — why is it relevant and what’s the point of it and how well-sourced is it?” he asked.

Can’t help but thinking that these guys are seeing the elections nearing, and it’s dawning on them ever so slowly that public opinion is shifting and they probably should shift a bit too. Deep down they know what a party they could have with laughing at the other side–wouldn’t even have to resort to lies and empty jr.high school nastiness. Some of them may still be able to call up some true comic intelligence. Yet they only dare to dream of the day….

These guys know the jig is up. Palin may be “an idiot”, according to Olbermann, but look at the facts: liberals had the White House, both houses of Congress, most of the media and almost all of academia behind them for two full years and all they could get passed was Obamacare, a bill that will almost certainly be declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and/or dismantled. Meanwhile, the debt tripled, unemployment went up, the ecomony has worsened, credit rating ha suffered, we’re more divided ideologically than ever, none of the policies Bush put in place were repealed as they promised they would, the list of FAIL goes on Cry about conservatives being stupid all they want, but if this constitutes intelligence, I’ll take stupid any day.

Beck should apologize for his smearing of Sarah Palin and her family on Thursday’s close of the GBTV show. Adding a picture of Glen Rice’s mock child into a famiky photo of the Palins was classless and indefensible. Ragging on her for her resignation was straight out of Alinsky’s playbook. I dont really care what the intent was. FIRE Brian Sack or take responsibility for it Glenn. You have until Monday and you will see Palin supporters drop out of GBTV in droves. If I was Todd Palin, a serious ass kicking would be in order.

Sarah needs all the help she can get, but is quickly LOSING TEA party support!

Over Labor Day weekend Sarah really hurt us and disappointed everyone by waffling and not committing on whether or not she will run for president in her much-anticipated speeches in Iowa and New Hampshire.

It was disgusting and ridiculous that the Iowa organizers invited, dis-invited, invited and then dis-invited again former Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell because Sarah did not want to share the Iowa stage (fewer than 500 actually attended).

Whoa, Pat take a minute and think this through. Your offended by a bit in a comedy segment? Brian Sack’s comedy is really hit or miss, this time it was a huge miss, but he was trying to point out the foolishness of this story through comedy. I too like Sarah, and would vote for her if she were to run and win the nomination. The main problem with the sack segment is that it is suppose to be a stand alone show, not squeezed into Glenn’s show. Glenn would save himself a lot of headaches by putting the BSofA on hold until it‘s ready to stand on it’s own. I would also be willing to bet that Sack has a clause in his contract that prohibits his bits from being censored. Do we really want to be like liberals and demand that someone is fired because we don’t like what they had to say? Drop GBTV if you want, but it’s only been on for 5 days. I would suggest you give it a month and they decide.

Let’s face facts this book was written to keep Sarah from running against Obama in the 2012 election. Even Barry knows he wouldn’t win against her if she did.
