Even Some Gay Activists Are ‘Creeped Out’ by Pro-Gay Marriage Video Featuring Kissing Kids (Oh, and Christians Are Slammed, Too)

Editor’s note: An extreme content warning applies to this story. The video contains lots of profanity.
An in-your-face video supporting gay marriage in Minnesota and mocking Christians has drawn the ire of some gay-rights activists who say the clip—full of f-bombs, racy visuals, and even same-sex kissing by very young-looking actors—leaves them “creeped out.”
Editor’s note: Again — extreme content warning applies here.
Update: The group has now removed the video from YouTube. They are still featuring it on their website. The content warning applies again…you can see it be clicking here.
Kevin Farrell of the Unicorn Booty pro-gay blog writes, “It feels creepy for me as a grown-ass gay man to watch kids kiss. It feels creepy to post video of children kissing on my company’s website. I understand the point is to ruffle feathers, but if some of the top gay bloggers in the world are creeped out by your message (or method, in this case), you’re ruffling the wrong feathers.”
The clip’s final scene features two very young-looking males holding hands. The first says, “If I grew up gay…” and the second finishes the phrase saying, “…I want to get married someday”—and then they appear to kiss.
Writes Farrell:
“My partner and future-sister-in-law-in-six-states happened to be watching this video over my shoulder and we all had the same reaction when the kiss happened.
“‘AUGHH, Wha-why-what the hell?! Why did they do that?’
“A swing and a miss from where we’re sitting, FCKH8. (We still love you though.)”
The other actors in the quick-cut video—with over-the-top make-up and neon-colored clothing (some males only in T-shirts and tiny underwear)—make fun of gay-marriage opponents and Christians by satirically stating phrases on why gay marriage is wrong.
The actors portray Christians in particular as mindless followers of church laws. One girl, twirling her hair, sarcastically says that homosexuality is wrong because “the Bible tells me so.” It also displays a string of actors completing each other’s sentences, saying the Bible “tells me it’s okay to sell my daughter into slavery and to stone people that work on Sunday. So it’s great for making laws.”
The National Organization for Marriage, which says FCKH8.com “tries to propagandize young kids to become activists for gay marriage,” posted a response to the video on its blog: “We also must ask again, when will other gay groups condemn the F*K H8 campaign tactics? If they can’t condemn it, do they support this sort of thing?”
FCKH8.com is raising money for Minnesotans United for All Families, which wants to defeat a proposed statewide ban on same-sex marriage in 2012. For each “Like” on Facebook and “Tweet” on Twitter that FCKH8.com receives, it says it will donate 10 cents to MUAF, up to $10,000. It’s also raising money by selling clothes, stickers, pins, and wristbands emblazoned with slogans such as “Born This Way,” “Don’t B H8N On The Homos” and “Some Kids R Gay. That’s OK.”

Homosexuals never wanted the right of marriage until they were given the right to civil marriage in most states. This isn’t about equal rights, it’s about being more equal than others. Here’s a very small percent of the total population, about 5 to 7 percent, but they possess a great deal of political clout.

That would depend on your definition of “innocently”. I saw nothing sexual in these two boys giving each other a peck on the lips for a point of view video. If anything, it was purest iconoclasm. “The adults, especially homophobes, get squicked out over this. Let’s do it!” You know. Kids has no interest whatsoever in doing something until dad orders him not to.
On the other hand, two children of different sexes/genders kissing as an expression of affection, that is much less innocent. I would have to be concerned that those two might try to take that further, while outside of direct adult supervision. A little playing doctor. The same sex kids, statisticly, not going to be playing doctor.
I think your bias against same sex PDAs of any level of sincerity blinds you to the simple fact of the existence of your bigotry.

“That would depend on your definition of “innocently”. ‘
No it does not and you are dodging my point. Are the children in the picture you posted the equivalent of the two ten year old boys in the homosexual propaganda video holding hands and kissing the same way a couple would?
“I think your bias against same sex PDAs of any level of sincerity blinds you to the simple fact of the existence of your bigotry.”
Anyone who disagrees with you is a homophobic bigot but you can not answer a simple question? Why is that? If you answer that the children in the picture and the video are the same, you have zero credibility. At the same time, if you concede that they are not the same, you prove my point. What is left to do? Name calling time! You can not engage in any kind of substantive debate because you will lose the argument.
I take it that you believe that same sex marriage is a right , individual states do not have the right to define marriage, and a judge can impose same sex marriage on the people. Marriage has a definition and to include same sex couples in to the definition, you are redefining marriage. This has to mean that you believe that redefining marriage is a right. If redefining marriage is a right for homosexuals, the equal protection clause dictates that redefining marriage has to be a right for everyone. That would include bigamist and polygamist. Can I steal a page from your handbook? You aren’t polygaphobic are you? Why do you hate

There’s a principle in science. “Only change one thing at a time.” If you change two things about an experiment and rerun it, if you get a different result, you won’t know which aspect of the experiment is controlling the different outcome.
You’re trying to compare two completely different aspects of the same experiment, and I’m not biting on that unscientific debate tactic, and it’s chiving you off.
There are two separate and unrelated aspects to this issue. One, are the kids same sex or different sex? This question is blinding you to the second question. Is the kiss furtive and perfunctory for the purpose of getting a reaction to the kiss, not to be kissing in and of itself, or is the kiss in earnest and affectionate and, in the words of AutumKnight, sensual.
The two boys in this video were demonstrating a perfunctory homosexual kiss, not an affectionate homosexual kiss, but your emotional and intellectual range won’t let you process that. Maybe an example of a perfunctory heterosexual kiss would help illuminate you.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-w7QAEWudQ
If you can honestly claim that that kiss was– sensual– you’re insane, but at least you’re stubbornly consistent.

“There’s a principle in science……..You’re trying to compare two completely different aspect.”“
You are avoiding the issue. You were the one that posted the picture not me. As I said before you can not answer my question. If you say that they are the same, you have no credibility but you can not concede my point either. You have reverted to calling me a homophobic bigot again.
“The two boys in this video were demonstrating a perfunctory homosexual kiss, not an affectionate homosexual kiss,”
In other words the goal of the video was to portray two ten year old boys as homosexuals. Is that the same as two little kids kissing each other? No. Homosexuality is by definition is sexual. Homosexuals prefer to have sex with the same sex. Thus, portraying two boys as homosexuals by having their hands locked together and kissing each other on the lips implies that they are in a relationship with the same sex. That is not the same as the picture you posted, which means your argument has collapsed on it’s self.
Are the homosexual groups that have a problem with the video homophobic too? Are you polygaphobic?

You are correct. Earlier DMSs did list homosexuality as a disease/mental disorder.
However, with DMSIII the verbiage began to soften and with IV much more so. At the same time a large homosexual contingent within the APA began to lobby/bully those responsible for writing the DSM about change the view. They also conjured up new ‘theories’ and studies about homosexuality to support their agenda. Doubt it is mentioned today in the DSM. More hilarious is the fact that homophobia be be listed there as a disorder, but not homosexuality. Gotta remember …… psychiatrists may be very intelligent, but not necessarily when it comes to the underlying science.
