‘Everybody’s Been Too Damn Polite About this Nonsense’: Famed Comic Book Writer Calls OWS Protesters ‘Louts, Thieves & Rapists’

The legendary comic book writer behind ”300,“ ”Batman: The Dark Knight Returns,“ and ”Sin City“ would likely not call the ”Occupy” protesters in Zuccotti Park and across the country heroes. In a post on his blog last week entitled “Anarchy,“ Frank Miller railed against the ”Occupy“ movement and the protesters he calls ”louts, thieves and rapists.” After beginning the post with “Everybody’s been too damn polite about this nonsense,” Miller went on to write:
“The ‘Occupy’ movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. ‘Occupy’ is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.
‘Occupy’ is nothing short of a clumsy, poorly-expressed attempt at anarchy, to the extent that the ‘movement’ – HAH! Some ‘movement’, except if the word ‘bowel’ is attached – is anything more than an ugly fashion statement by a bunch of iPhone, iPad wielding spoiled brats who should stop getting in the way of working people and find jobs for themselves.”
Miller goes further to acknowledge that “America is at war against a ruthless enemy,“ in reference to ”al-Qaeda and Islamicism,“ and ”In the name of decency, go home to your parents, you losers. Go back to your mommas’ basements and play with your Lords Of Warcraft.” The post brought mixed reactions from fans as over 2800 have commented on the page.
Miller’s most recent graphic novel “Holy Terror,“ features a character called the ”The Fixer” (which was originally suppose to be Batman until “DC got skittish”) fighting Al-Qaeda following a terrorist attack. “Holy Terror” has been criticized by some as prejudice against muslims, as Wired’s Spencer Ackerman writes:
“Miller’s Holy Terror is a screed against Islam, completely uninterested in any nuance or empathy toward 1.2 billion people he conflates with a few murderous conspiracy theorists. It’s no accident that it’s being released ten years after 9/11. This comic would be unthinkable during the unity that the U.S. felt after the attack.
Instead, it’s a perfect cultural artifact of this dark period in American life, when the FBI teaches its agents that ‘mainstream’ Islam is indistinguishable from terrorism and a community center near Ground Zero gets labeled a ‘victory mosque.’ Call it the artwork of 9/11 decadence, when all that remains of a horror is a carefully nurtured grievance.”
Miller is aware of how the piece could be perceived, saying during development of the graphic novel in 2005 “It is, not to put too fine a point on it, a piece of propaganda.” Defending his position by pointing out ”Superman punched out Hitler. So did Captain America. That‘s one of the things they’re there for.”
In a blog post this past September, Miller slamed MSNBC and the New York Times before writing:
“News objectivity is a twentieth-century myth. We only complain about propaganda when we don’t agree with it.”
Miller defended his graphic novel by pointing out “3000 of my neighbors were murdered. My country was, utterly unprovoked, savagely attacked.”

Idiot’s like Dan DiDio running the company pepper their books with politically and socially charged lefty ideas (DiDio himself mocked the Arizona immigration law in his “Outsiders” title) but Miller‘s rattling DC’s cage too much with Holy Terror. Ironically…it’s the cage rattling by men like Miller and Alan Moore that put DC back on the map. And don’t think Marvel is any better..it’s probably worse, they feature an entirely removed from this plane of reality Barack Obama (sometimes depicted in shadow so as not to be too overt in their gushing over him) constantly meeting with Captain America and Nick Fury. The Spiderman title euphorically adopted Obama immediately after the election.

Look for all of the comic book messageboards to be filled with posts by people who have praised Miller’s work for decades now proclaiming, “Ah, he was ALWAYS a hack. I NEVER liked his work.”

1.) His comics are most definitley R-rated. the violence and sex in the movie “Sin City” was TAMED DOWN from his original comics!
2.) His version of Superman in “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” was visciously anti-Reagan propaganda as anything done by Hollywood and the news media in the 1980′s.
3.) He was the writer and director of “The Spirit” movie.
The first two are forgiveable. But, “The Spirit” movie??? That movie is so bad that some theatre screens commited suicide after having it played on them.

However, the pucker prude quotient for most conservatives may outweigh those enjoyable moments and themes. Even more appalling is the fact some on the moveon.org made statements that they were proud of living in a country where that is allowed. I suspect those are the same people who supported michelle obama when she said for the first time in her life she was proud of the country. Frankly for the first time in my life this disabled veteran is ashamed of his country! Or at least some of its occupants!

Expect the media to try to elicit sympathy for these pathetic dupes of the Wannabe Tyrants. Remember, the purpose of these demonstrations is to produce the chaos to justify the declaration of martial law, suspension of the Constitution and final consolidation of the Tyrant’s power.
Any declaration of sympathy for these mercenaries will only escalate the violence and enhance the Wannabe Tyrant’s objective.
There can be no compromise with these mercenaries. The only compromise, they will accept are those that increase their power and escalate the violence. Do not forget that chaos and violence is the objective of these mercenaries’ leaders.
The chaos justifying the declaration of martial law and suspension of the Constitution requires considerable violence. Sufficient force must be brought to bear on these mercenaries to end this civil disobedience before the American Revolution ends in a dictatorship. It is much later than you think!
Mr. Obama’s declaration of martial law will certainly precipitate armed revolution. The important question is not if Mr. Obama will succeed in becoming a Dictator or be replaced by the leader of the revolution.
