Ex Dem Rep: Obama‘s Fixation on ’Leveling out the Economy’ Has Cost Him 7 Million Voters

Former Democrat congressman Artur Davis on Friday claimed the Democrat Party’s, and President Obama’s, fixation on “leveling out the economy” has cost them seven million voters.

“There are 7 million of us who voted for Barack Obama who are traveling in a different direction because we didn’t get the unified country we wanted, we didn’t get the results we wanted on the economic front,” Davis said during a Friday broadcast of CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report.”

Since leaving the Democrat Party, Davis has been asked to speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. Perhaps giving us a foreshadowing of the type of speech he will give at the convention, Davis told Kudlow the following:

The Democratic Party is no longer a party that fixates on growth. It’s a party that fixates on trying to level out conditions in America. That’s a perspective, but I think it is the wrong perspective for the challenges we face.

The Democratic Party that I used to know was a pro-growth party that believed if you maximized prosperity that prosperity will be shared, prosperity will spread. There used to be a growth agenda. Now the agenda is more mandates, more taxes, more threats of taxes from businesses, more regulations for businesses.

    Since when has the lunatic left ever fixated on growth, other than growth of government?

    It’s amazing how leftists can continue to lie to themselves and others, and the most amazing thing about it is their end game or zen – they cannot define. They‘re burying this country and making us all suffer for really things they haven’t thought through clearly or rationally.

      At one point…those who voted Democrat did believe in this. Maybe not those who are in politics, but many of the voters did hold this vision. They did believe in a bigger social safety net of course. However, as they have been infiltrated by Progressives and now are solely run by Progressives–the only game is wealth redistribution (socialism) and government control. Most people do not want this kind of country, or day to day life. Why do you think Obama had to anoint millions of new Democratic voters? (amnesty) He has lost a large portion of Hopey Changers. They woke up. They learned it ISN’T about having a “historic” election, but rather that they should have voted to preserve the freedoms of this country for their children.

      pride, greed, capitalize on despair and tragedy

      These three words were constantly used as reasons for the object of our form of government. What system would check ambition, expose greed and not too quickly react to calamity?
      A Constitutional Republic.

      The Progressive ego is their cause, and their id is the drive to control and destroy all around them.

    We better get out there in numbers we haven’t seen in decades or the fraud vote will win for sure. Voter fraud is so massive it is sickening. id to drink id to drive id to smoke id to get into ANY government building id to fly id to get into book stores for book signings by politicians or actors id to buy insurance id to go to the Dr id to check into a hotel/motel id do anything but VOTE…WOW How messed up is that!! We are told if we don’t like it… tough SO lets show them just what tough is.
    Today I was talking to a new friend that is helping me around my house and he told me at 57 he had never voted before this year..I told him some things that are going on and he was shocked..then I asked him who he would be voting for and he said I’m with you…we’ve got one more. My first impuse was to fuss at him but I didn‘t want to shame him I waned to bring him onboard and I’m glad that is how I handled it. A few years ago I would never have talked to people the way I do now about their vote but then I have never realized what a danger America and her people were in before now.

The democraps have reached a new low with obama at their helm. I hope they never pull out of the mire he has put them in. Obama has insured a Republican victory for years to come. All they have to do is point to the obama/marxist years and say….’remember him…do you want another 4 years just like that?”. This party should be banned.

    Polls say it’s going to be a close race. I anticipate more of a sea change. In the Presidency AND in the Senate. OBimbo only wishes it was going to be close.

    Even the 50% of Americans getting some form of government assistance are nervous about whether they will CONTINUE getting it.

    I like Mr. Davis. He seems to focus on truth instead of rigid ideology. He appears to be a man of honor and courage. No doubt we need more like him in all political parties. I expect many more to jump ship before this is over. PROGRESSIVE IDEOLOGY FIRST DESTROYS THE HEART AND SOUL OF HUMANITY. THEN IT IS FREE TO DESTROY LIVES, PROPERTY, AND FREEDOM.     I’m glad he switched sides but what alternate reality was/is living in when he ever believed the Democrats were really pro-growth and actually promoted financially sound growth policies??? The only growth policies that Dem‘s adhere to is the one that gets more people on the government dole to ’trap’ them to vote Dem!

      You have to consider the political juggernaut the Democrat party has with regard to blacks. I heard Davis on the radio today talking about how a large percentage of the black community have been indoctrinated to believe that Republicans are inherantly evil racists who essentially exist to make blacks miserable and deny them opportunity. The GOP needs to reach out more and more to sensible black leaders. The more blacks understand the truth about Republicans, the more they will understand the greatest benefit to blacks is embracing the individual liberty and the small government model that conservatives espouse.

    Here in Alabama, Artur Davis’ recent move to the Republican party is being noticed and talked about.

    AL is an extremely Red State except Jefferson County (Birmingham); counties immediately to the south and west of Birmingham (the “Black Belt”, not racist, that is what the geographical area is traditionally called); and parts of Madison County (Huntsville). Even Mr. Davis’ past Congressional district is realizing that the Progressive path is collectivism and destroys the deep-rooted personal responsibility traditions of this gun-toting, Bible-thumping State.

    The Chick-fil-A reaction and patronage is still going strong here, and supported by traditional people, regardless of Race and political affiliation.

    I’ve been passing around a couple copies of the “Harbinger”, and the “Frederick Douglas republicans” books to great responses. My friends at work and I are writing Gov. Bentley and asking for an Al State day of prayer and fasting.

    We need to heed II Chronicles ch. 7:14

    Most of the fringes will be too doped up or drunk to make it to the polls. That is why Obama wants the illegals in here who have not waited in line to come into the country like the ones who keep the rules. Obama is making a mockery of those who come into this country the right way. This overburdening of our resources is just another way to break the financial structure of this country. Obama does not care about those people. He does not even care about Americans.

    Although I respect the opinions of Mr. Davis and the brave way in which he has turned his back on the Democratic party, but ‘leveling the economy’ is not Obama’s mistake.
    Supporting the failed ideal of Utopianism is.
    We are, and will remain, a predominantly conservative nation.
    We know that a constitutional republic works.
    Utopia is a mirage.
    And conservatism is the power to crush it once and for all.

    Not to worry he will make it up in illegal votes some way. Obama is not going to lose this election because they are 24/7 figuring out out to scam it or use people in this country legally and/or illegally to make up the difference. Those states might better keep their eyes and ears to the ground if they want their votes to count. This one is going to be for blood. There is no turning back for them now. Obama has invested, as has his cohorts, too deeply in the overthrow to stop. As a snipped on Hannity shown in the flash kind of way of different things Obama has said: “…this is the beginning of the end…” This destruction of the Republic has been in the works for many years and if Obama stays in office, we may see the end. Get him out.
