Writes Examiner Columnist Gregory Kane:
Here‘s Sharpton’s reaction to Beck’s rally, taken from a story on the Web site huffingtonpost.com: “They have a right to rally. But what they don’t have the right to do is distort what Dr. King’s dream was all about.”
Now there may be plenty of black talking heads, spokespersons and so-called “leaders” across the country qualified to make that assessment. Unfortunately for Revvum Al, he ain‘t one of ’em.

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 4:40pmAlright, then–according to Mr. Sharpton, Dr. King’s dream must NOT have been all about keeping God at the center of our lives…

Posted on September 4, 2010 at 12:25pmI pray we see the truth, own the truth, and act on the truth. I lived my young adult life outside of Detroit in the late 70‘s and 80’s. Our suburbs were filled with love, tolerance, and respect for others – regardless of race. I didn’t live in a “white” community, I lived in a city filled with people from all walks of life. The communities surrounding Detroit thrived financially, were bustled with schools that excelled in education and achievement for all students, and moved past the divisions of race or religion. At the same time, the inner city of Detroit sweltered with hatred, criminal activity, and poverty. 30 years later…huh, I guess there are still a few unable to spot what the real problems truly are.

Posted on September 3, 2010 at 10:56pmMLK was a great man and made some of the best speeches I have ever heard and was willing to die for his great dream: a nation that judges a person by their character and not by the color of their skin. He was about trying to bring people together and would not be anything like Sharpton,Jackson or Wright by trying to divide white and black people. MLK would not think or say that the Tea Party or people trying to get this country back were racist and he would not use the Race Card like some have. Racism is serious and it should be stopped and when people try to use the Race Card like they do it cheapens it when it really happens like the boy who cried wolf. I am sick of being called a racist and I am not going to be afraid of being called a racist by people who are just using that as a way that is not true and something MLK would never approve of.

Posted on September 3, 2010 at 10:15pmFYI…when MLK spoke, he never wore a bulletproof vest. He believed in his message of love…
Beck on the other hand, a fear monger, cannot say the same….

Posted on September 4, 2010 at 6:40pmInteresting point of view. If Beck had not worn the vest he would have been stupid if you think of the violence of the Left in the last year (the IRS plane crash, the G20 riots, the GreenPeace crazy at Discovery Channel bldg) and compare it to all of the violence of the tea parties (none)….

What distractive scoffers have focused on is a protective vest? As if it was silly if he had one on?
Bear in mind -history- and the people with ‘the message of hate’ and their actions.
these are just a FEW comments that I kept track of @glennbeck during the Rally —* [I removed their -names so hopefully not to draw any here]
- Where is a tactical nuke when you need one
- Today is probably the only day that you wished that the DC Sniper was still alive and free.
- @- Is it wrong that I spend my thinking there has got to be some crazy on the side of decency
willing to take him out? #glennbeck
- I’m kind of hoping Glenn Beck inspires a riot today so he can be imprisoned as a terrorist or treasonist or some *hit.
- Glenn Beck’s Messiah Complex: He Wants to Be a “Messiah?”— Cool, Make Him A Martyr!!
-it sounds like #glennbeck is just begging to be assassinated. and if it happens, it will be well staged

One can only imagine the threatening mail Glenn recieved for daring to Honor America – her peoples – and faith.
After the things we have seen -read- and experienced since the great discord uniter (who ignored Faith Hope n Charity) has fired up the left to get in our face – it is shameful that anyone has to protect themselves.

Posted on September 2, 2010 at 3:25pmpower corrupts. When men like Al get power no mater how well intentioned they first were it is now all about more power, and of course money. The reason why Men like Al have ruined Dr. Kings dream is that all they see is black and white. They are the first ones to call out color or to make an issue of color. Dr. king wanted everyone to be treated the same, no color. Al wants to be treated better to make up for past deeds.

Posted on September 2, 2010 at 2:38pmFirst…let me congratulate Glenn Beck and the entire team for a very well done rally along with all the attendees. Sharpton could not admit that Beck had a good motive…and a good intention. He did not mention Arvieda King…and he couldn‘t remember the question O’Reilly posed to him and therefore took the approach that the people, somehow, were going to attack his rally verbally of physically. It was a very poor showing. Additionally….Obama…with his Mr. Beck and people like him like to stir things up was not warranted either. Does Obama have something against…Faith, Hope and Charity? Virtues…gee…he even used the Hope thing in his election. I guess he uses them when it serves his purpose…not his character.

Posted on September 4, 2010 at 2:17pmWe went to the Restoring Honor Rally and went over to the Al Sharpton group. There weren’t many and I took lots of photos to prove that. At the end of Beck’s rally, we passed there again and there may have been a dozen or so there, but that’s all. Sharpton does not like it when he is not in the spotlight. This is why he tries so hard to stir up trouble. It’s what he wants, whether he is right or wrong, does not matter. He loves the game. If everyone would just turn the lights off of him and ignored him, maybe he would just go away. He is an embarassment to himself.

Posted on September 2, 2010 at 12:40pmSharpton is a man who has made his living by making his own kind victims. Instead of encouraging them to be responsible for their actions, to take the initiative to do well, he tells them to protest, that tey are “owed” by society. That they are entitled to a better life, but never does he tell them they should work for that better life.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 10:58pmSharpton has NEVER known or understood what MLK’s dream was all about. It‘s funny how those most recognized as civil rights leaders today wouldn’t know civil rights if they hit them in the face.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 11:09amI knew full well before going to the rally that the people would be kind, respectful, and above reproach….but then no conservative is above reproach are they?
This is yet another glaring example of the media exposing themselves for what they are, liars and propagandists.

“Abraham Lincoln freed the black man. In many ways, Dr. King freed the white man. How did he accomplish this tremendous feat? Where others — white and black — preached hatred, he taught the principles of love and nonviolence. We can be so thankful that Dr. King raised his mighty eloquence for love and hope rather than for hostility and bitterness. He took the tension he found in our nation, a tension of injustice, and channeled it for the good of America and all her people.”

Ummm, REVEREND Al, what part of “turn to God” don’t you understand? If Jon Stewart needs to write Glenn a check then so does Sharpton. This man has made an entire career off of other people’s work.
