In April 1967, speaking from experience, he summed up his homicidal idea of justice in his “Message to the Tricontinental”: “hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine.” His earlier writings are also peppered with this rhetorical and ideological violence. Although his former girlfriend Chichina Ferreyra doubts that the original version of the diaries of his motorcycle trip contains the observation that “I feel my nostrils dilate savoring the acrid smell of gunpowder and blood of the enemy,” Guevara did share with Granado at that very young age this exclamation: “Revolution without firing a shot? You’re crazy.” At other times the young bohemian seemed unable to distinguish between the levity of death as a spectacle and the tragedy of a revolution’s victims. In a letter to his mother in 1954, written in Guatemala, where he witnessed the overthrow of the revolutionary government of Jacobo Arbenz, he wrote: “It was all a lot of fun, what with the bombs, speeches, and other distractions to break the monotony I was living in.”
An earlier letter to his former girlfriend Tita Infante had observed that “if there had been some executions, the government would have maintained the capacity to return the blows.” It is hardly a surprise that during the armed struggle against Batista, and then after the triumphant entry into Havana, Guevara murdered or oversaw the executions in summary trials of scores of people—proven enemies, suspected enemies, and those who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
In January 1957, as his diary from the Sierra Maestra indicates, Guevara shot Eutimio Guerra because he suspected him of passing on information: “I ended the problem with a .32 caliber pistol, in the right side of his brain…. His belongings were now mine.” Later he shot Aristidio, a peasant who expressed the desire to leave whenever the rebels moved on. While he wondered whether this particular victim “was really guilty enough to deserve death,” he had no qualms about ordering the death of Echevarría, a brother of one of his comrades, because of unspecified crimes: “He had to pay the price.” At other times he would simulate executions without carrying them out, as a method of psychological torture.

I seriously doubt that maybe 80% of those shouting “armed and violent revolution!” have one ounce of balls when it comes to pulling the trigger. Especially when they are faced with some good ole boy Americans, who are an excellent shot, and watch their “commrade’s” head be blown off from 500 yards. Commitment levels have been proven to drop dramatically when you see that happen.
We called that “discipline” in the Marine Corps.

So? I won’t pay anything, I won’t report my guns and I will in no way disarm. I think I speak on behalf of the vast majority of gun owners. The government, doing what you claim, would then be shown to be powerless.
There was a call in Columbus, Ohio in the 1990′s to “turn in” assault weapons aka semi-automatic rifles that looks scary. Two rifles were turned in over the course of months. Two. They stopped the “order” because the government was shown to be wholly impotent.
If you think “law and order” extends to depriving us of our rights, you’re mistaken.

I own more guns than my husband. My dad lives in IL where they are trying to pass legislation that all gun owners carry million dollar general liability insurance. That’s a fact..my dad was po’d about it. They will chip your rights away and they already are..if you think otherwise you are mistaken.
Unless you bought your guns from the black market-they are registered and if you have a driver’s license they know where you are. Just sayin…your’e preachin to the choir.

The communes are gone now (must not have worked so well) and still our schools recruit the young and well feed to these foolish ideas!!! If you have a student in your home with a curiosity about socialism, cut off their allowance and let them pay tuition, book. room and board. We did and it was difficult but we now have a conservative teacher and young business executive who value work and God!

1) If you r a rich tea partier then you are bourgeois defined not as being just middle class but being part of the econom, political and social opinions to be concerned with conventional social mores and property.
2) If you are a working class tea partier then you a big dumb dummy
3) I have never heard one quote from these people on what they would do if they got the power. Against everything and for nothing.
These people are extremely scary b/c they believe this so vehemently they are willing to sacrifice whatever it takes. The very question of, “how do we get the tea partiers on our side” is perhaps the most compelling argument that exposes how much they don’t get it. It’s not about being rich– or supporting the rich—or being pawns of the rich—it’s about having the ability in a free society to become rich, make decisions for ourselves and family and yes to fail.
