Exclusive: Trump Supporters File Papers Paving Way for 3rd-Party Candidacy in TX — Trump Acknowledges

Trump Supporters File Third Party Paperwork in Texas

Donald Trump supporters have met an official ballot deadline in Texas, paving the way for the business mogul to become a third-party candidate there, a source close to Trump tells The Blaze. Trump himself acknowledged the filing in a statement.

According to an email sent by the source to The Blaze on Sunday night, Trump supporters filed paperwork on Friday to create the “Make America Great Again Party,” giving Trump the opportunity — should he take advantage of it — to be on the primary ballot.

Texas State law requires the paperwork to be notarized and filed by Jan 2, the source told The Blaze. At least one other Trump supporter had contacted the Texas Secretary of State’s office to accept the paperwork on Monday despite it being an official holiday, the source added, but that became unnecessary once the paperwork was filed on Friday.

“I am aware and flattered by this filing by my supporters in Texas,” Trump said in a statement. “I have not authorized anyone to act on my behalf and am not a candidate for president at this time. I will not, however, rule out a third-party candidacy if the Republicans nominate a candidate who cannot defeat Obama and I recently changed my party registration in New York state to preserve my legal option to appear on the ballot in all 50 states if I do decide to run.”

The news comes on the heels of another Blaze exclusive last week, which noted that Trump supporters were mounting a third-party charge in the Lone Star state.

    Many of you are criticizing Trump for going after more money. Have you missed the morning news. Obama and Romney are already planning more ways to STEAL your money. At least Trump will only ASK for it, rather than steal it. Trump would bring both China and Iran to their knees. Obama, Romney and paul will bow on their knees to these fanatical nations.

      I have always had a great deal of respect for Trump the businessman. As a politician he knows less than my dogs, and understanding the Constitution he’s bankrupt.

      He had multiple chances to enter the race as a Republican, but was too cowardly to put his pathetic skills against other politicians. He’s exposed himself for being a left wing fruit if not outright progressive. I hope he realizes that he can forget continued success for that reality show of his.     This man’s ego is greater than his patriotism. He now comes to the decision after the debates to enter his candidacy. Calculated, avoiding the debates so that he could avoid scrutiny. Says a great deal about this individual.

    Nevertheless, if he intends to exemplify a conservative base he will receive a percentage of disinfranchised voters, taking from the full probability of all conservative votes. Along with the most probable independant candidate– Mr. Paul, there will be three conservative representatives of three parties (Romney-Repub; Ron Paul – Lib; and Trump – whatever)

    Unfortunate the Trump card may be played and so will be America. This domino effect will degenerate any unity in conservative values and Obama will be re-elected.

    I pledge allegiance, to the flag…If only all Americans supported those great words. They pledge their allegiance to all works of darkness to glorify themselves and Trump has been so for the past 35 years I first heard the name. He supported Obama 4 years ago, why is this a surprise that he would come forth as a conservative? Would not his actions secure and splinter the conservative vote needed to bring a sence of unity to the conservative base?

    There is little anyone can do to counter this atrocity other than to refuse to vote for this person. There are two possibilities regarding this “trump”. In America the GOVERNMENT is the largest employer more and more GOVERNMENT control … obamacare if implemented we will soon have a national ID card which was postponed… all this will be done in the name of good.       I can’t tell if you are being serious or not but I do agree that we have not been offered a viable candidate. As it stands right now, I would have to say that Obama gets four more years. We got McCain in the last election. He probably couldn’t have won garden club pres.. Plus he handed the election to Obama gift wrapped with a bow. Herman Cain could have won. They took him out.
