Expert Blames Michelle O’s Staff Turnover on….Race?

Expert Blames Michelle Os Staff Turnover on....Race?Michelle Obama’s staff turnover rate is a bit higher than it was for previous first ladies. In just under three years, she has gone through three chiefs of staff, three secretaries, two communication directors and, as of today, her press secretary will be making a grand exit. So, why the mass exodus, you ask? According to an expert in Politico, it may have something to do with her skin color:

“She is, if possible, under more scrutiny than even other modern first ladies, being the first African-American first lady,” said Katherine Jellison, a history professor at Ohio University who specializes in first ladies. “She also represents a new generation, really the first post-boomer generation of first lady.”

While the idea that people are being driven away due to stress and scrutiny has its merits, some would argue that Obama‘s treatment in media and society hasn’t differed greatly from that of other first ladies (some may even claim she‘s received more favorable media coverage at various times during her husband’s first term). Jellison‘s argument’s seem oddly similar to Rep. Clyburn’s (who said that President Obama’s problems are the result of “the color of his skin”). Others claim that she can be tough to work for:

Sources familiar with the East Wing, who asked not to be named discussing internal dynamics, described the first lady’s office as a challenging workplace, where grueling hours and the expectations of a formidable boss intensify the demands of managing a popular first lady’s schedule, image and agenda.

“The first lady is a lovely woman, but she’s tough as nails, and that can be hard for some people,” said a source familiar with the office. “She has really high expectations.”

There’s nothing wrong with wanting jobs done well. In fact, the notion that she pushes her staff so hard is, in a way, a testament to taxpayer dollars well spent and earned. Let’s not forget that the First Lady is a mother to two young girls as well. With her position in government and in her family, she’s likely under a great deal of pressure. Whether this impacts her staff or not can’t really be known.

Hopefully, for efficiency’s sake, she can get some staff members in the door who are willing to stick around for awhile.

    As I read this….. “With her position in government and in her family, she’s likely under a great deal of pressure.” I ask myself,,,,,,,,WHAT POSITION IN GOVERNEMENT ???? I dont remember her being elected to anything. As I see it, the extent of her government authority is to tell moonbat to put the toilet seat down when he is done.

      It must be really, really handy when you have lots of melanin in your skin and you’re feeling cranky and/or whiny or you’re just not quite up to the job, whatever it is, to blame that abundance of pigment for your shortcomings or the fact the people won’t genuflect when you come into the room.

    I am sure that I missed something but where is it written that the US Taxpayers should provide the First Lady with a staff? No doubt it has been going on for a long time but again, who authorizes this? Do the kids get a staff also? Or brothers or sisters, aunts, uncles? Why are we paying for this?

If you will remember her “this is the first time I am proud of my counrty” speech I think she was wearing something that looked like a joging suit or the same materal and she really told what she thought.       I still recall that picture of her galumphing off of Air Force One in a pair of wrinkled shorts and a tank top! First time I EVER saw a first lady in that state of disarray and dressed like that! Most of them had more class than to be seen in public looking like that. But that was before MOO-chelle brought a whole new LOW to the position! Just our luck–we needed a first lady, and they sent us a cow.

The amount of venom in here about Michelle Obama is stunning. The absolute obsession with her butt-size, looks…Unreal.

      My experience has been that if a “boss” has frequent turnovers it is the direct result of the way he treats his employees. Leadership requires challenging and inspiring others to do the best they can. Degrading your employees drive them away, and cause them to do poorly at their jobs. Perhaps if MO can’t keep her employees around, she should take a good look in the mirror and take responsibility for her own actions. Oh, that’s right……progressives don’t ever take responsibility for their actions, ie: 7 millioin dollars in damage to Wisconsin’s capital after their protests.

      That assessment in one short paragraph sums up this woman’s problems. I ran a Google on Michelle Obama’s college thesis and read it. That same attitude you describe was prevalent throughout. She mostly just moaned and wailed about being treated less than equal than everybody else, because of “skin color,” after getting accepted via affirmative action, graded on the same basis and finally given accreditation which is no more than a worthless piece of paper, because she didn’t earn it.

      Gotta strongly disagree there. She does not have a govt. position. She is a dependent of a federal employee. Her “job” is to decorate the White House and take care of the family. I know this isn‘t the 1950’s and that may sound sexist, but her husband has the most important job in this country. And he needs her support at home.

      It reminds me of when I was in the military and the Officers Wives Club would want to take over our hangar for some project. It was time smile a lot and keep our opinions to ourselves.
