Guys? Ease up, the Liberals have Lost. They know this and they are going crazy seeing their dream of a Socialist America die. Please understand, the vast majority of American’s are smarter than any of them ever dreamed. Even some die hard Democrats are smarter guys. I go to the bythenumbers, com site where the Cable TV ratings are published. Understand this, no one watches MSNBC or CNN anymore. The anger some of you show is misinformed. The far left liberals wing is dying and I truly think is done for good.

Do not get sucked into this man’s way of thinking. People like him want to make our way of life, our 1st Amendment, our access to radio, tv and the internet obsolete.

      @tompaineknowsthescore

universal health care is one of the favorite socialist topics they like to promote. After all, wouldn’t it be great if we could pay higher taxes to have the government provide all of our health care? Not really. One typical feature of socialized medicine that the liberal socialists like to ignore is the long waiting time for care. People in Britain are tired of dealing with it, so, as written about in the Daily Mail, they are fleeing to other countries for better health care.

Record numbers of Britons are travelling abroad for medical treatment
to escape the NHS – with 70,000 patients expected to fly out this year.

And by the end of the decade 200,000 “health tourists” will fly
as far as Malaysa and South Africa for major surgery to avoid long
waiting lists and the rising threat of superbugs, according to a new
      report.

The first survey of Britons opting for treatment overseas shows that
fears of hospital infections and frustration of often waiting months
for operations are fuelling the increasing trend.

Patients needing major heart surgery, hip operations and
cataracts are using the internet to book operations to be carried out
      thousands of miles away.

Britain To Put CCTV Cameras Inside Private Homes

I’m well aware of the authorities’ love of surveillance and snooping, but even I, a pessimistic cynic, am amazed by the governments latest plan: to install Orwell’s telescreens in 20,000 homes.

£400 million ($668 million) will be spend on installing and monitoring CCTV cameras in the homes of private citizens. Why? To make sure the kids are doing their homework, going to bed early and eating their vegetables. The scheme has, astonishingly, already been running in 2,000 family homes. The government’s “children’s secretary” Ed Balls is behind the plan, which is aimed at problem, antisocial families. The idea is that, if a child has a more stable home life, he or she will be less likely to stray into crime and drugs.

It gets worse. The government is also maintaining a private army, incredibly not called “Thought Police”, which will “be sent round to carry out home checks,” according to the Sunday Express. And in a scheme which firmly cements the nation’s reputation as a “nanny state”, the kids and their families will be forced to sign “behavior contracts” which will “set out parents’ duties to ensure children behave and do their homework.”

When we these people ever learn that guns don’t kill people, people kill people. What about all the stabbings in the world. Should we also have knife restrictions? People really need to learn more about the people they elect to represent them.
If you take guns away from people then the only ones that will have guns are criminals and cops. Since the criminals outnumber the cops. Then people will be left defenseless.
We have so many restrictions now that its not even funny. We don’t need more restrictions, we need enforcement of the restrictions that we already have.

As a nation, what did we expect would happen when our elected representatives (and us, by our silence) systematically began to remove God?

As soon as the godless can become the majority, then the constitution will be just a piece of paper. If God doesn’t exist…then neither does your “inalienable rights”. If God doesn’t exist that means government gave you your rights, therefore, government can take them away.

The more the godless become in control, the less a person (humanity) is considered relevent. Humans are then considered objects to use/control rather than souls in the image of God.

Take the 40 day challange and marvel at the results.

      Grammy–
Great point. Over the past 50+ years our society has eroded, a little here – a little there. And when 50 years of morality changes are combined you get what we have now.

Certain politicians have known since the beginning of this country exactly how to arrive at the point we are at today. And they have plans to make it worse IMO. It’s “we the people” who have been ignorant, believing our elected officials were good, were people of their word, and that our unquenchable desire for more “things” would have no negative after effects. Perhaps we chose to close our eyes to the truth, preferring the easy life and unending entertainment, leaving DC in the hands of politicians and not caring because it really didn’t effect us all that much.

While there will always be a small number of mentally challenged “crazy” people around, I’m thankful we the people are aroused from our slumber and are seeking to do all we can to turn this mess around. Humble ourselves and pray.

“Forcible felony” means treason; murder; manslaughter; sexual battery; carjacking; home-invasion robbery; robbery; burglary; arson; kidnapping; aggravated assault; aggravated battery; aggravated stalking; aircraft piracy; unlawful throwing, placing, or discharging of a destructive device or bomb; and any other felony which involves the use or threat of physical force or violence against any individual.

for tompaine. sir,you need to do some research. the reason obama can and should be called a communist is from his own words. “ judge me by the people i surround myself with ”. we didn’t call him a commie. he did. you might also try reading his books. ” in college, i sought out the most radical students on campus. i sought out the most marxist professors.” combine that with the fact that both of his parents ( before they threw him to the side of the road) were devout communists. i doubt they were raising him to be a good little capitalist. but you people who believe like you do, need to pull your heads out of the sand and realize what danger we are really up against. and don‘t ever believe that just because your’e on hi side that you won,t suffer just like the rest of us. probably more, because you are expecting a utopia and there ain’t no such thing.

Obviously one can string soundbites together to argue anything, for example bachmann claimed the tax rate should be a flat rate of 10% because thats what the bible says taken out of context shes clearly advocating theocracy. Lets judge obama on his ‘actions’ as glenn loves to say he continued the war in iraq and afghanistan (hardly communist) bailed out the banks but didn’t take the opportunity to nationalize them (execpt fannie and freddy i think) (hardly communist), his healthcare reform did not create a single payer system (hardly Communist), he hasnt to my knowledge created a dictatorship of the proletatriat or intends too…… but u argue he associated with marxist students and professors and his parents are communists so therefore hes a communist.

As for me not acknowledging the danger im british and by your measure already living in a communist utopia despite being led by a conservative govt (that i personally don’t like)

Tom– All of the things you say the President has not accomplished, are all the things he wants but can’t get done—YET!!! He is still trying, and still has two years left in office. That is his goal. That makes him everything HE claims to be. We are judging their actions (agenda) here. Just because it’s not done, does not change who they are. When someone shows you who they really are—believe them!

If he was a communist he would ignore the system of govt and go for a dictatorship of the proletariat
He is Liberal but is open to compromise (bush tax cuts), Just because hes liberal doesn’t mean hes communist there is a difference that sadly Beck cannot see. even O’reilly can see that Obama isnt a socialist

I agree with you, I am from the same state that Jl. Clyburn is from, I am ashamed of what he has said and done for many years. He is a disgrace to South Carolina. He is the most biased, prejudiced, and unethical guy I know of. He had great joy in trying to destroy Joe Wilson, but guess what, it didn’t happen. He had a very long article in THE STATE Paper on the 10th, in which he blamed Palin, the conservative talk shows, and the Teaparty for the shootings in AZ. I cannot believe he had the gall to do that and also he stated his view on the Fair Doctrine policy. Trust me, the majority of people in S.C. have no respect or regard for this man.

Once upon a time, people thought carefully before they opened their mouths and said something. They had respect for others, regardless of whether or not they liked and/or agreed with them. Now, people believe that every thought that crosses their minds should be spoken aloud and no one is responsible for anything they do.

These people are in the grips of a siege mentality and they will declare that everyone else is to blame because the end goal here, is anarchy and totalitarianism.

Society was more civil then when the loons were not given voice to the public. Loons speak in offensive terms and create incivility when they are given a megaphone. These loons don‘t know how to think or work and don’t know how to properly care of themselves or their family. They should be pitied but some cheap politicians like Rep. The Progressives will use any excuse to insulate themselves from the will of the American people. The “Fairness Doctrine” is not about allowing equal time for opposing views. It is about silencing opposing views. The Progressives know that their policies do not reflect the will of Americans….so they have to circumvent them. They will use language that everyone should agree with: “Fairness”, “Public safety”, “Forum for proper debate”. Who in their right mind can disagree with that?? Clyburn is not for making things better….he is for making things easier for him and his Progressive colleagues to stay in power. That is all that matters to him.

Mt Clyburn…instead of just running your mouth endlessly about anything I suggest you take the time to sit down with your friends Van Jones and Ms,. Piven and discuss their rhetoric with regards to calling for violence before you call for the disarming of the American people via free speech and gun control. Course we all know this will never happen because you are all in favor of pushing the radical liberal progressive agenda on the American people for control purposes. Obviously if you criminalize public dissent against politicians you have an excuse to put us in jail or worse. And if you take our guns (good luck on that one) all we have left are rocks and bottles…like all the other subjects in the third world countries. One last thing SIR. In the 60′s the people took to the streets in protest. Well the internet is no alternative to that discourse even today. Public displays of dissent and disagreement carry much more weight than endless typing on the computer. Course we know with the agenda of the liberal progressives, you will shut down the internet and probably criminalize dissenting blogs or message boards. All because you can’t stand to have your marxist message called out. Are you familiar with a man by the name of Hitler Sir? Well…we are.

A gun has never gotten up out of bed and said, hmm, I think I’ll load myself, chamber a round, and go kill someone. Another point for you anti-gun nuts out there. IF GUNS ARE ILLEGAL, THE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS WILL NO LONGER HAVE A MEANS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THE CRIMINALS OUT THERE. That means that they will now come into your homes while you are there and rape, kill, and rob you without fear of being shot. And guess what, they are criminals, THEY WILL HAVE GUNS. ‘We Had Restraint on Speech Back Then’

We sure did, and we *still* had two Kennedys and MLK murdered, and two other U.S. Presidents shot, all within in 18 years. In fact, let’s look at the WHOLE history of political assassinations in the 20th Century, for a little context:

-President McKinley was assassinated on 9/16/1901 by a Socialist.
-Teddy Roosevelt was shot on 10/14/1912 by a nut job who thought he was talking to McKinley’s ghost.
      -Fairness Doctrine instituted, 1949
-Harry Truman was shot at by two left-wing Puerto Rican nationalist nutjobs 11/1/1950
-JFK shot and killed 11/22/1963 by a Che and Castro loving, Soviet defecting, Communist sympathizing nutjob.
-MLK shot and killed 4/4/1968 by a white supremecist Democrat nutjob who supported another white supremecist for PotUS (who was later shot, himself)
-RFK shot 6/5/1968 (died 6/6/68) by an anti-zionist nutjob.
-Wallace shot and left paralyzed 5/15/1972 by a nutjob hellbent on killing either Wallace or Nizon.
-Ford shot 9/22/1975 by an extreme left-wing nutjob.
-Leo Ryan shot and killed (US Rep) 11/18/1978 at an extreme left-wing nutjob‘s ’religious town.’
-Reagan shot 3/30/1981 by a Jodie Foster loving nut-job.
      -Fairness Doctrine ended August, 1987.
-Gabrielle Giffords shot 1/8/2011 by a far-right, far-left, flag burning, white supremecist, “George Bush was behind 9/11,” non-spaceflight believing nutjob.

      I’ve spotted three patterns there.
      -First, it’s always a nutjob.
-Second, it’s almost always coming from the Left.
      -Third,
a- 37 years passed from the political assassination prior to the institution of the Fairness Doctrine.
b- 24 years passed between the end of the Fairness Doctrine and the next attempt,
c- 8 attempts happened during the 38 years of the Fairness Doctrine, an average of one attempt every 4 years and nine months.
      - Fourth, there have been 72 non-Fairness Doctrine years since 1901.
a- There were two assassination attempts from 1901 to 1949, an average of one every 24 years.
b- There has been one assassination attempt from 1987 to now. Oddly, 24 years.
c- That makes it an average of one attempt every 24 years!

So the “restrained speech” years produced one assassination attempt every 5 years on average, the non-“restrained speech” years produced one assassination attempt every 24 years on average, it’s always a nut job, and it’s almost always a fringe Lefist.

      Huh.

Until the Tea part popped into existance in 2009, all those screaming the loudest, protesting and using hateful speech, were minorities or the liberal left. 8 years of it. Never heard this guy complaining about that. Sorry black congressman, you will understand if I reject what you say as self serving..

Yeah, the good ole days of the 60′s… no assassinations back then…. when we had the fairness doctrine… shouldn’t someone have reminded Cylburn of say.. JFK, RFK, MLK?

I also remember the cattle prods and fire hoses of the 1960′s. They were being wielded by law enforcement officers and civilians under the orders and protection of elected DEMOCRAT mayors and governors with the blessings of senators and reps of both the federal and state governments. There was a fairness doctrine and it was mostly ignored as the Southern Democrats fought integration. I was actually embarassed to be a southern born white man. I am amazed that a black man with the standing of Rep. Clyburn would use those days as a talking point in this debate!

Scuse me, Mr. Clyburn, who is exploiting what? I see this as being your last chance to not let a good crisis go to waste, but it won’t be what you expect. Any man who lies about the racial slurs and being spit on would lie about anything. There’s no proof (because of all the cameras & microphones and many news people) that anyone picked up what you imagined, because you made it up. You libs like to make up anything to cause more turmoil in this Country. This is what you’re trying to do right now with this MADE-UP reason for shutting down talk radio. Unfortunately we have to deal with the sweet and sour and liars in our government.

Better yet, he seems to forget what really happened back in the day. Back in the 1960s, there were riots, assassinations, bombings, and the military being forced to protect their assets around the country where several protests turned ugly and the soldiers opened fire. The idea that “Civility” was some old way that everyone followed talking about politics is either a load of crap, or it is a senior moment where people start remembering things a lot better than they really were.

How can a man that endured so much during the fight for civil rights era, want to so quickly deny others the ability to speak their mind because he personally thinks he has the right to dictate what people hear and see?

MR. Clyburn is an embarrasment to my state. If I were to agree with, him we would both be wrong. He has always been a proponent of the Fairness Doctrine and anti-second amendment as these two things are close to all liberals heart. To my knowledge he has never held a real job.He will not discuss the James Clyburn Transportation Institute at South Carolina State University where they have received $25 million, $12 million of which they cannot account for. A typical gov. project where after spending $13 million they still haven’t graded the site much less started construction .He should be investigated for his involvement as this proves there are ways to rob people without the use of illegal firearms. As we redraw districts this year, our Republican legislators have stated his district must be protected, what’s up with that? The politicians treat him like the Pope, while he acts like Lucifer.

I have my own fairness doctrin. It involves a ban on Politicians speaking AT ALL! Once elected you have your fat trap sewn shut until you retire.
