Explosions Rock Stockholm in Failed Terrorist Attack

A failed terrorist attack in a central Stockholm district full of Christmas shoppers could have been catastrophic, Swedish authorities said late Saturday.
Police are investigating whether two explosions in Stockholm, an e-mail threat sent shortly before the attack that mentions Afghanistan and the body of a man who was apparently killed in one of the explosions are related.
“Most worrying attempt at terrorist attack in crowded part of central Stockholm. Failed — but could have been truly catastrophic,” Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said in a Twitter message on Saturday.
Swedish news agency TT received a warning ten minutes before the bombing. The warning was a recorded message in Swedish and Arabic, which arrived via e-mail, in which the attackers criticized Sweden for not taking action against a caricature of Muhammed, drawn by Lars Wilkes.
“Our actions will speak for themselves, as long as you do not stop your stupid war against Islam, your humiliation of the prophet, and your support of the pig Wilkes,” the warning said.

All we see today is another rewriting of history.This time making Islam, in the centuries after Mohammed’s death, sound wonderfully cultured, wise, and even peaceful. When the armies of Islamic Jihad swept out of the Arbian peninsula after Mohammed died they conquered by the sword. Christian and pagan civilizations in the Missle East, North Africa, and most of Spain were subjected to forced conversion to Islam or pay special taxes and live as 3rd class citizens. Jerusalem was conquered and Christian shrines in that city such as the Church of the Holy Sepulce were destroyed. A truly brilliant and beautiful civilization that existed before Islam and finally died being conquered by the armies of Islamic Jihad in 1453 was Byzantium and it’s highly cultured capital, Constantinople. This city preserved Greek and Roman culture and build a civilized Christian city that was a model of city organization and architecture for the world of it’s time.

For some strange reason the socialist’s who have controlled Sweden for over 70 years hate their own country, their race, and even Western Civilization and Christianity. Sweden opened the doors to the 3rd world in the 70′s and today they are suffering the results. One excuse they used which is probably true is that not enough indigenous Swedish babies were or are being born to grow up and pay taxes to keep their welfare state afloat so they needed new “bodies” and they get them from massive immigration mostly from Muslim countries.The Swedish left do all they to welcome the downfall of their own people, culture, and country. Now they see the results almost daily in Swedish cities with large Muslim immigrant populations like Malmo where violence, rape, and intimidation are the norm. What will Sweden look like in 30 years? More like Iran I suspect.

The mindset is just different in that aspect which is so deeply rooted in the cultures that it might never change.
But specifically in the cases I named, I would tend to disagree with you. Even France is enacting laws that the most extreme right wing of American politics would be unable to push through (namely the Burqa ban), same with the new laws about deportation and Minarets in Switzerland. It’s kinda weird, really.

Maybe you‘d be so kind to point out the sections where it describes a system of limited gov’t, within a framework of a democratically elected representative republic with divided powers and checks/balances. We do find deep discussion of politics in the Ancient World, but it’s not in the Bible, it’s in the writings of the Ancient Greeks.
Even given that, it took us 2000 years after those initial brilliant texts to come up with our current system of government, and it was based almost entirely on Enlightenment principles, not the Bible.
But I’m not sure why I bothered to comment in the first place. Arguing religion is a complete waste of time–“arguing” requires two open minds, and religions closes one of them up tight. This bombing makes that point better than anything else could, and the original poster is actually so deluded that he/she thinks the fact that the only casualty was the bomber is evidence of divine intervention!! While at the same time a few people were injured, so I guess Cloud Man couldn’t pull off the triple-play.
Religion not tempered and tamed by reason and the secular principles of the Enlightenment is a nightmare regardless of whether its Christianity or Islam. Read a little about the Crusades to see what the followers of your deity did before the were reined in by secular philosophy.
