Exposed? One of Cain’s Accusers Works for the Obama Administration

Herman Cains Sexual Harassment Accuser Karen Kraushaar Works for the Obama Administration

Karen Kraushaar, a 55-year-old former journalist was outed Tuesday as one of three women who filed sexual harassment complaints against Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain. And according to the New York Pos, Kraushaar also works for the Obama administration.

Since 2010, Kraushaar has served as a communications director at the Inspector General’s Office of the Treasury Department.

Kraushaar has not returned phone calls left by The Daily thus far.

The Post adds:

“She wouldn’t be the type to make false allegations,” brother-in-law Ned Kraushaar, a Georgia software consultant, told The Daily. “This happened [more than] 10 years ago. It’s not like she wanted to try and hurt the Republican Party.”

Until now, three of the four women who had lodged complaints against Cain had remained anonymous.

The Washington Post reports that Kraushaar said she never wanted to go public, but since a news organization published her name Tuesday, she is now ready to appear before cameras and speak out.

“I am interested in a joint press conference for all the women where we would all be together with our attorneys and all of these allegations could be reviewed as a collective body of evidence,” Kraushaar told the Washington Post.

“When you’re in a work situation where you are being sexually harassed, you are in an extremely vulnerable position,” Kraushaar said. “You do whatever you can to quickly get yourself a job someplace where you will be safe. That is what I thought I had achieved when I left.”

The Washington Post adds:

Kraushaar, who was hired as TIGTA’s communications director in 2010, is “a supreme good worker” who is smart, articulate and an outside-the-box thinker, according to a person familiar with her work.

Last Thursday, Kraushaar read a statement in a senior staff meeting telling colleagues that she was the woman accusing Cain of sexual harassment, according to the source. During the meeting, Kraushaar asked colleagues not to discuss the matter publicly, but said she wanted them to know about it.

She is “an extraordinarily good person,” said Jennie Williams, Kraushaar’s friend. “She is very reliable and has lots of integrity. I don’t know what happened. I don’t want to know. Enough is enough. She is quality.”

“Quality” or not, one has to question the source of such a conveniently timed accusation when that source works for the Democratic incumbent.

Meanwhile, Kraushaar has recently released the following statement:

The reason sexual harassment is so difficult to prove is that workplace sexual predators try to make sure the victim is alone when the harassment takes place. The incidents in question occurred many years ago, but corroboration may still be possible with respect to some of the incidents, and in some cases it may even be possible to find witnesses.

For 12 years, I honored the confidentiality agreement, as required by law. It was only when reporters pursued a tip they received from NRA employees and a former board member that they confronted me with it. Though reliving it is extremely painful, it is now no longer a private matter but a matter of public interest, and therefore I have decided that if my employer will allow it, I would be willing to appear in a joint press conference with all of the other women who were harassed, and our attorneys, so that we can present together what happened and the court of public opinion can consider the allegations as a body of evidence

      I find it funny that you all support a man William Jefferson Clinton who was found guilty of such infidelity and he remand to be president. Yet Herman Cain has all these unfounded remarks against him and you want to through him away…. You are such hypocrites… you should be ashamed of yourselves… least I forget you have no shame and you feel justified in all that you do to push forward your agenda…

      All these people slamming these ladies as liberals and disqualifying their accusations are not smart enough to think. Why was Cain “in bed” or working closely with all these liberals in the late 90′s? Maybe because he is just a liberal in disguise? Actually, he’s really not disguising it.       Now these women want to stand together in full force and speak to the media as a group. It just sickens me to think these people are willing to slander this man. This woman was paid off a long time ago and now she still wants to come out and talk about it? I don’t know if I will vote for Cain or not yet but what they are doing to him makes me want to contribute to his campaign. Has anyone seen the left media lately? They are jumping all over this. I was channel surfing and came across Al Sharpton. He seemed absolutley thrilled this is happening to Cain. I couldn’t watch for long. Fame and greed has no morals. What a shame.

      Cain had a little trouble getting his story straight on this at first, telling several conflicting accounts, even on the same day. He said he didn‘t remember a settlement for a year’s pay to one of his subordinates, let alone two, then he sort of did, then he did. But all the accusers were anonymous so he tried to blow it off.

      Then one came forward, one who had not legally made a claim against him. So the Cain campaign impeached her credibility based on the fact that she was represented by a high profile lawyer and didn’t make an accusation at the time.

      Now one of the women who received a settlement of a year‘s salary has said she’ll come forward. I expect the other woman will come forward too, and probably others.

      Cain supporters need to get their accusations straight. You can forget the “anonymous” angle, and you can forget the “attention seeking attorney” angle because it doesn’t encompass both people. You can forget the “Perry did it” angle that Cain’s election committee first proposed (I guess they dropped that). All the original angles have failed! Dang!

      So who else can you blame? Obviously Obama or maybe Soros or Van Jones or the caliphate.

      There has always been a character issue in that party, always. From Jackson’s disregard for the Indian treaties (sent to the trail of tears) to the slavery expansion advocacy to the unanimous “no” votes on the 14th amendment giving former slaves citizens rights in the state that they reside to the union with the klan to the segregation of military/ post office, to the audacity of calling the Republicans racist to the blocking of the civil rights bills put forth under Eisenhower and then bringing it up for a vote under Johnson while still having only a limited number of votes towards passing it (Republican support was large though) to the Clinton Lewinsky story to the attacks on Clarence Thomas to the creation and build up of the entitlement/ dependency society to the shared agenda and rallying with communist and socialist parties to THIS (and I skipped over a lot of equally disgusting history). They’ve been a scourge against liberty and self responsibility. I could never vote to increase their strength in any local state or federal government. Low character Republicans get voted out. Low character Democrats get donations.

      In Herman Cain I see very strong character so far.

      Another thing about this photo jumped out at me, and that is the horse…..years ago when I first became single after a 20 year marriage and was starting to date, I was warned by a friend of mine, a real cowboy (yes they still have those where I live) and he told me to stay away from “horse women”….he told me the are generaly man haters and are all about control, the way they love controling the horse that is more powerful than them. And I see her horse there is a male horse, and has long hair like a female or mare would have….??? that say’s something about her.

      Why is Cain’s campaign lying about this if he has nothing to hide? Here’s Mark Block on Hannity:

      “BLOCK: Karen Kraushaar had come out as one of the women. And we’ve come to find out her son works at Politico, the organization that originally out the story out.
      HANNITY: Have you confirmed that? I’ve been hearing that all day, rumors about that. You’ve confirmed that.

      BLOCK: We’ve confirmed it that he does indeed work at Politico, and that’s his mother, yes.”

      This is just a completely false statement, seeing as Josh Kraushaar, a reporter, is not the son of Karen Kraushaar and, though he is formerly of Politico, has worked at National Journal since 2010. Why are they still lying?

      I find it very fascinating that she would reveal the modus operandi of sexual predators, making sure they are alone with the victim. Why would she reveal that about herself and her felllow predators? seems odd to me.
      Oh EXCUSE me. She is charging Mr. Cain with this! She has a past history re at least one other incident where she charged this.
      Predators,predators everywhere,and she unfortunately seems to attract them.

      Do any of you actually read? Do you follow the news from anywhere but here and Fox?
      This woman filed sexual harassment charges YEARS ago. Long before Cain was a candidate or she worked for Obama. She filed charges and it was settled. She refused to come forward until a news organization leaked her name. She didn’t come out to hurt Cain, she came out to protect herself. Once her name was out the slander begins. You know nothing about her yet she is instantly considered unreliable because you don’t want to hear what she has to say. This story doesn’t play like she is a gold digger or trying to bring down Cain. She simply felt she was sexually harassed and filed a suit. We don’t know if the suit was valid or if it was settled just to avoid court. She filed, it was settled and years later she was dragged into the media to explain it. It is pretty clear why she didn’t want to come forward, because now the attacks are directed at her.

      @Saranda I’ve been thinking along those same lines. No one doubts those children’s stories now that they are adults, but all these accusations against Cain are ‘lies’. It’s extremely disturbing to watch people accept accusations against Cain as nothing worse than any democrat has done. According to them, Republicans should be held to the same, degenerate standard. But I‘m pretty confident this won’t play well outside the Caintrainers who write on this blog.
      I‘m already gearing toward the next phase of Rep candidate ’love’: Newt. He is as secret a marxist as Obama. His ‘mentor’ was Alvin Toffler, closet marxist, writer of books on how our Constitution is no longer relevant and it needs to give way to a global agreement. Newt did spearhead NAFTA and undoubtedly looks forward to the North American Union.

We have reached a point where the inanity (not insanity, although that too) of the kind of people on this board is so great that I believe they have jumped the shark and become “emo republicans.” They literally reject facts; in fact they seem to become more fervently supportive when negative things are revealed about their candidates, simply to spite the “left” (which is really the 75% of Americans who are not factually challenged).

      For example: That Herman Cain was accused of multiple incidents of sexual harrassment is a fact. That these cases were settled for tens of thousands of dollars is a fact. That Herman Cain is a vapid, underqualified, schmoozing opportunist who is cashing in on the indescribable backlash by foolish, intellectually bankrupt conservatives is an opinion.

    The insinuation by The Blaze that she has recently taken any action whatsoever against Federal Reserve Chairman Herman Cain appears to be false. As far as I can tell, this is a woman who is trying to stay out of things.

    Whether or not ANY type of harassment went on I find it extraordinarily convenient that it has come up at this time and occurred over a DECADE ago. Mr. Cain is not my first choice for the republican nomination at this time but I dang sure hate what it is going on and it appears like they are attempting to assinate his character.       How many years does a person get to file for sexual harassment? If she didn‘t file when it happened or with in a year or while you were still employed I don’t understand why now. Other than you don’t want the President you worked for to be challenged because he cant stand on his own record. Obama does have a record of destroying peoples lives to win elections. If your only reason to report it is because he is running for president then I can’t imagine it could have been that bad. If he wasn’t running would you press charges. It seem to me they are saying to him you are trying to be too successful and famous so now we are going to press charges and make allegations.

      We don’t know anything about the 2 that reported it right away. I am really only interested in their story and his. You can’t even tell a dirty joke in the office or tell someone you like the top they are wearing because of sexual harassment cases.

      The problem is the 2 that got their settlements were happy with it and moved on, someone anonymously outed the story but they still want to stay out of it. So Axelrod and Obama needed to find other women to do their dirty work for them. I wonder how much they will be compensated.

      Even less so now.

      Until there is a “looser pays” legal system, we will likely never know the truth when the accused takes the route that is less financially burdening.
