Fake CNN News Alert Claims Gingrich Pressured Ex Wife to Have an Abortion

A fake CNN breaking news email was sent to South Carolina Republican activists early Thursday morning, claiming GOP presidential contender Newt Gingrich pressured his second ex-wife to have an abortion, CNN reported:

The email alert was sent from fake account made to look like a CNN breaking news email address: “BreakingNews@mail.cnn.com.”

“A source close to Marianne Gingrich tells CNN that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich forced her to abort a pregnancy conceived during the affair that preceeded her marriage to Gingrich,” the fake email reads.

The cable news network said it did not send out the fake alert, which came amid intense speculation over an interview with Marianne Gingrich set to air on ABC. In the interview, which aired Thursday night, Marianne Gingrich revealed her ex-husband wanted to have an open marriage. She has made no claim about being pressured to have an abortion.

According to CNN, it’s not clear how many people received the email, though at least two members of South Carolina‘s GOP executive committee said they’d gotten it. Gingrich has experienced a surge in the polls ahead of the state’s Saturday primary.

Gingrich blasted the network’s John King during the GOP debate Thursday for asking about his ex-wife’s interview, excoriating the “destructive, vicious, negative nature of much of the news media“ and saying he was ”appalled” King opened the debate with the question.

      Talk about dirt. Gingrich wanted Romney’s tax returns because he was worried there would be something in there that would hurt the Republican party.

      ROMNEY HAS NOW REPLIED: If Gingrich wants my taxes early, why doesn’t he release his House Ethics report. ( http://url2it.com/lijd ) I would add on to that, the Freddie Mac contract. I still think it would have been better for Romney to ask for Obama’s college transcript, that would have been more effective, but at least it takes on Gingrich for his attack.

      Didn’t you read the ABC article on the Cayman islands account. Go to the third to last paragraph, he has paid all US taxes on that money. That was set up by Bain as a business account that is used for business outside the US, simplifying the process. The article even reported this, at the bottom of the article.

      Ask Gingrich to release the House Ethics Report and the Contract for Freddie Mac.

      Gingrich is no Conservative, in his own words, he is a Wilsonian Republican that thinks the greatest President is FDR.

      Yeah Ann Barnhardt cantacted me earlier and we have had some back and forth. I have proven her wrong and she stopped responding, her video is completely false and as for the small clips on those candid clips that has been done for all of them. Newt is the worse with his arrogant claims.

      Lets get back to the issues. He is worse than Romney on the individual mandate, Gingrich wanted a federal mandate, Romney a state. Gingrich is worse on Global Warming, he removed a pro-global warming chapter out of his book. the ghost writer of that section may release the full thing of what was to be released. And the social issues, Romney is great at. I can‘t believe Newt would question Romney’s integrity on this issue.

      Gingrich is the least vetted and now his garbage is coming out. Why doesn’t the media ask Gingrich: Why he has praised the progressive movement? Why is FDR his favorite president, instead of Reagan. Why would he call himself a Wilsonian? That is because they (the media) agrees with him.

      Come to find out, he is really buddy buddy with the press in private, unlike on stage. He is a closet progressive and so two faced.

      Are you really sure? I‘m going to keep looking because I’ve been disturbed over this “He said, she said” thing they’ve pulled on Cain and now Newt. I’ve been wondering why Glenn Beck has been bad mouthing Newt the last few days and I like to know the truth. I know you can find anything on google, but when a number of sites have answers, you have to dig for yourself.

      I‘m mostly upset about the things I’ve seen about Obama and the“ Chicago DLC” and what I’ve read about his Indonesian Nanny and his mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, and stuff I’ve read on the WRM report. Just don’t know about Mitt! The trouble is, we end up holding our noses for all of them.

I really admire Watts and figured he knew more than I do. He’s a wonderful person and a good Christian. I like to make many decisions on Christian people I greatly admire and JT Watts is a good man I have faith in for good decisions.

    They don’t want voter I.D. They collect fake signatures, like hitler and Mickey Mouse, which have to be counted in Wisconsin. And now democrat appointed judges want to decide the maps for elections.

    Because the democrats know that they are outright lying to the people, because if they were honest, about what they really stand for, no right thinking person would vote for them. They are the biggest racists. To say that minorities are not capable of obtaining ID, that minorities are not smart enough to go to universities is such a slap in their face. When will the candidates have the courage to speak about the racism of the left. My husbands relatives live in the old East Germany. My husbands family fled when he was 3 years old and the wall hadn’t been built yet. In the whole USSR gays were jailed. And racism is huge in communism. Communism is not about equality, it is about the elite. To distance themselves as far as possible from the masses, which they are disgusted by and afraid of. That is at the core, because they hate the lower class.
    There plans for this country are to destroy it, so they can become communist rulers. The democrats have been taken over slowly over a long period of time, Even Ron Paul is a fake. In yesterdays debate he actually said things should change with China but not because of the outsourced labor but because they perpetuate consumerism in this country. Perpetuate consumerism.

      Romney in his own words said he was a progressive.
      Romney for stimulus.
      Romney was for a women’s right to choose.
      Is proud of Romneycare, and was glad Obama used it.
      For climate change regulations.
      Raised taxes.
      Supported gun control laws.
      For tarp, “ it was the right thing to do”.
      Has no problem attacking countries without declarations of war.

      All of these things are not much different from Newt or Santorum.

      He never raised taxes, he cut them 19 times, and tried over a dozen more times. Look at CATO and CFG for the proof. He did raise user fees, much like Ronald Reagan did because they both believed, why should tax payers pay for services an individual asks for. That is more libertarian. If I buy a burger, why should the taxpayers pick up most of the bill?

      He actually worked with GOAL and NRA on 8 pro-gun bills. The NRA and GOAL worked with Romney on lessening the impact of the assault rifle bil and brady bill, (which even Reagan supported).

      WHAT ABOUT RON PAUL?

      Now if you want to talk about the problems about PAUL then we can do that. Lets start with the fact that he has no management experience, except the newsletter, and he admits he screwed up on that for 10 years of not knowing the horrible things written in there.

Isn‘t that why Gingrich wanted Romney’s tax return. Funny that Gingrich would question Romney’s character in that debate, an hour before Gingrich’s ex would talk. Should integrity be questioned by Gingrich on anyone.

      THIS Tax Issue is about Romney proving himself worthy to be nominated. One would think Romney would be falling over himself in providing his tax returns for all of his life, just to remove all doubts about his honesty. The more Romney hides the more dishonest he looks..

    Tricks like this is underhanded but his character is very much lacking. Lets get back to the issues. He is worse than Romney on the individual mandate, Gingrich wanted a federal mandate. He’s worse than Romney on Global Warming, taking it out of his book, delaying its release. And social issues Romney is great on. I found it interesting that Gingrich would question Romney’s character during the debate and I was glad Romney pushed back.

      Funny how you are attacking someone beliefs, when you don’t want us to attack ex-wives.

      What is wrong with a church saying we should drink things that are good for our bodies, maybe we should look into that, I have a heart problem, my doc says that would help my heart, not to drink coffee or alcohol.

      Let’s see, Romney is a Mormon, they believe in tithing (10%0, if he made $50 million, I would expect that he would donate $5 million. I don’t know how much he made, I haven’t read his financial disclosure he already released. All I know is Gingrich is Catholic, believes in 10% and has only donated 2%, how much of that was tithing???

      Funny, I would rather know a polygamist that doesn’t polyg, than a monogamist that doesn’t monog.

      Why are you attacking Romney’s faith? Why don’t you stick to the issues, instead of questioning ex-wives or religions. If you want to talk about religions, why isn’t Gingrich paying his full tithing (10%). His taxes show he only donates 2% of his earnings. Tax deductible foundations don’t count. But that too should not be an issue. You decide.

      Either way, a vote for Gingrich is a vote for Big Govt Progressivism.

      This is happening because Gingrich is surging in NC and the smear interview didn’t have the desired effect for the liberal media. Gingrich answered King beautifully last night. We all know Gingrich has had two messy divorces and had affairs on both those wives…it’s old news. Gingrich has more personal baggage than a week at LAX. So while the lap dog media tries to dust off and gussy up old Gingrich stories, Americans are more concerned with putting the economy back on a positive course and getting more Americans back to work. Economic growth and the debt are the key issues to Americans, not bitter ex wives with axes to grind.

      Actually, Ron Paul admitted writing the letters in the 90′s. Even if Ron did not actually write them, his name was one them, that makes him responsible. They came from his office, to his constituents, and discussed a wide range of topics. I am not a Ron fan, nor am I a Newt fan, but people need to open their eyes about these men.

      Theblaze must report the truth about Obama not being a natural born citizen.

      The Constitution, Art. 2, Sec. 1, states “No person except a natural born citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible … .”

      Exempting a “citizen” from being a “natural born citizen” (NBC) proves they aren’t equal, or no exemption was needed. If they are not equal, then a NBC must be either less than or greater than a citizen. Citizenship is a component of a NBC, so a NBC is not less than a citizen. Therefore a NBC must be greater than a citizen. The pertinent minimal requirement for citizenship at the time was one born in the US to a US citizen parent, leaving just one possibility. Only US birth to US citizen parents (plural) is greater.

      Therefore the constitution does logically define a natural born citizen and Obama’s Kenyan father irrefutably precludes his eligibility!

      The Supreme Court agreed in Minor v. Happersett, 1874. “The Court held that Minor was a member of the “class” of persons who were natural born citizens. They defined this class as those born in the US to “parents” (plural) who were citizens.” – Leo Donofrio, JD.

      You are mistaken, sir. Under the laws of our great nation anyone who is born here enjoys the status of a natural born citizen and may one day run for the office of President. There was some dispute over this issue in the first century after the passage of our Constitution, but the Supreme Court finally examined the issue in 1898. They found that it was the policy under the laws of England at the time of our founding, with which the founding fathers would surely have been familiar, that natural birth was dependent only upon place of birth, not upon parentage. Since our founders nowhere in the Constitution or anywhere else wrote any article or statute changing this standard, they concluded that it remained in effect under the Constitution and up to the present day.
