Famed Investor’s Cheeky Warning: If Obama Controls Congress ‘Consider Leaving the Country’

Leon Cooperman has been critical of Barack Obama before. But he may have taken it to the next level while on CNBC Monday with a candid admission: If Obama wins a second term and controls Congress, “consider leaving the country.”
After a CNBC anchor asked Cooperman, the founder of Omega Advisors, if Obama would be reelected, he said he thought the more important issue was whether the president would control Congress in a second term.
“I think the bigger issue will be who controls Congress,” he responded. “If [Obama] controls Congress, maybe consider leaving the country.”
The comment was uttered with a chuckle. And almost immediately, as if realizing he had a moment of too much candor, he followed up with, “I love America so I’m not going anywhere.”

It will be about the tyranny that the forefathers warned us about. The government is too powerful and at this point it is probably that Obama will likely win. However, Texas, with its own oil and massive resources, could conceivably secede. How long we’s realistically endure without federal aid or military is not known, but caused us to join the union in the first place.I like what Wyoming is doing with an emergency type bill about the currency. All states should be looking into this. If people want to leave the U.S. then I got nothing against them. I got a country right here in Texas if need be. Instead of King George we have a King Obama and I’m sure he would punish any state that threaten to leave his empire. I don’t know why, he hates us anyway.

The best advice is to join a militia, because the country will implode into racial divisions that will be at war with each other.
And the way this country has moved so far to the left, it’s break up will be applauded by many who are eager to reconstruct a new nation, smaller and more responsive to individual needs.
As Tom Chittum, in his Book Civil War II, says, the country will break along lines of race, politics and ethnicity.
No multicultural nation in the history of mankind has survived, each one breaking apart mostly in bloody warfare, and since this one is more pluralistic than any other its fate is sealed for certain.

As a New Orleanian who stayed in the city for Katrina and was there during what we laughingly call a “recovery”, I can tell you from first hand experience: the National Guard was called in to help the NOPD with law enforcement. The NOPD broke into, barged into, and removed all guns and ammunition. Gun purchase records were reveiwed so they knew who had purchased guns and who didn’t. There was no telling them “no”. They ordered you to step aside, broke down your door, and took your guns. Never, ever, ever, say it won’t happen. It happened to me and many other New Orleanians following Katrina, and that was only a local disaster. And by the way, NONE OF THESE GUNS WERE EVER RETURNED TO THEIR OWNERS. Gone! Poof! Go buy more! HIDE THEM THIS TME! or USE THEM – BUT NEVER GIVEN THEM UP!

OATHKEEPERS was formed as a result of the gun confiscation, which is an org. of active and retired military and police who take an oath not to act in a totalitarian manner in any way.
As you might imagine the only people who had guns were black criminals who were taking pot shots at people in various areas and committed murders and several armed thefts.
Katrina is one example of what to expect if economic conditions worsen…..which they will. But the situation will be more like a Mad Maxx scenario than Katrina I’m sorry to say.

Here’s the secret. We outnumber them about 100 to 1, even if you combine the military and cops into one “collection unit”. Further, lots of military (and some cops) would refuse to do this. Further further, with so many gun owners, it’s not like you have one guy in a 2 square mile radius. In my neighborhood alone I have people on all corners with firearms. If they come for one of us, the rest will know about it and likely jump into some kind of defense.
No, the left wants us to believe in the big omnipresent uber powerful government that we’re impotent against. Don’t buy into it.

I get the perspective of taking guns from criminals and threats, but the police also took guns from ordinary citizens trying to defend their homes, so if and when economic disaster sends the criminals into looting mode, best be sure, no one is going confiscate anything of mine. But I wouldn’t put anything past this demon in office. He’ll cause food shortages and start a Guns for Food program. Turn in your weapons and eat for the next three months. Watch for it.The Second and Fourth Amendment will be exercised to the fullest in my neck of the woods.

After having moved several times if the “authorities” go knocking on my door looking for my guns they will find me long gone. There were efforts made in the wake of Katrina to make gun confiscation after natural disasters illegal but just because it is illegal will not stop a despot.

They came, knocked on the door and barged in much like what happened in New Orleans during the Katrina storm. Then, they confiscated all the gold, followed by the land. People who took to the mountains, were hunted down like wild beasts and executed on the spot. The rest of the country fell into place and that is how we got over 43 years of communism. It took a bloodshed to get rid of it all and a lot of innocent lives were lost. Where do you think you can go to get your freedom back? Nowhere on this earth. This is it folks. If we, as Americans fail to realize what is happening on a daily basis, how we are loosing our freedoms a little bit at the time, we deserve what’s coming to us. AND IT’S NOT PRETTY. The truth is no “we” didn’t allow the “barbarians” in the name of some humanitarian purposes or act of kindness… Many if not most kicked screamed and flat out rejected the 1960s immigration bill; however, there’s a small minority in this country which has acquired massive amounts of power and influence through their control of the Federal Reserve and our Media and they realize and understand that a very multicultural and diverse soceity is much easier to influence and control.
In order to fully appreciate the Immigration debate that has occured both in Europe and America one must look who at who sponsored and authored the bill in 1965 and try to understand their aims. Compare it to the previous immigration law of America.
Outside of the creation of the Federal Reserve it was the single most destructive piece of legislation every drafted in America and yet no one ever speaks of it… Everyone acts as if this is the way its always been.

While you make some good points, I’d be surprised that if 3 out of 10 our servicemen knew that their oath was to the US Constitution and not to the President of the USA. Remember these kids have just been put through what amounts to gov’t indoctrination camps… While I went through them in the 70s and 80s the News Media and Hollywood wasn’t quite as warped as it is today and there were still some leaders in the Evangelical movement which somewhat acted as a glue holding this country together.
Bottom line is we need to be doing all that is humanly possible in order to educate our fellow citizens in Constitutional history and American history.
