Families of Fallen SEALs Allegedly Sent Form Letters With President’s Electronic Signature

Thirty U.S. service members were killed on August 6, 2011, when a CH-47 Chinook was shot down in Afghanistan’s Wardak province. As Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reminds us, it is the deadliest single loss of U.S. forces in the Afghanistan campaign.

Among those killed in the crash were 17 members of the U.S. Navy SEALs. And although the deadly attack was over a year ago, it wasn’t until yesterday that, apparently, parents of fallen SEALs revealed that were sent stock letters with President Obama’s electronic signature.

“Yesterday, Karen and Billy Vaughn, parents of Aaron Carson Vaughn, spoke at the Defending the Defenders forum sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots outside the RNC Convention in Tampa. Karen brought a copy of the form letter they were sent following their son’s death,” Hoft reports.

But wait. There’s more.

“Karen Vaughn reached out to the parents of the other SEALs killed in that crash,” Hoft adds. “Their letters were all the same. Form letters — signed by an electric pen.”

After a closer inspection of the letter sent to the parents of Chief Petty Officer Nicholas H. Null, it would appear that it’s exactly the same as the others:

    Even more proof that this Muslim in charge hates Americans and it’s military. Like Bush or not, that guy respected the US military. He even went as far as visiting them in person at the hospital, praised them for their service, saluted them always. The man was highly admirable in that manner.

      Yes it’s clear that Obama holds nothing but contempt for everything American, but are you really praising Bush!? The “man” who involved America in two endless wars illegally? If anything, Bush visiting wounded vets in a hospital bed is a sick joke. The only reason any politicians in this country pretend to care about the troops is so they can keep fueling the military industrial complex shrouded in the veil of “the war on terror”. Both Bush and Obama should be tried for treason as well as war crimes.

      His signature is soooo elitist! I like a little flair myself, but this is a letter to the fallen and your signature should not overpower it. This man has no compass! Its broke! He never learned about protocol and etiquette (which I can barely spell).

      I got my retirement letter from Bush and its robo signed of course. Not a big deal! I still display it proudly though on my office wall.

      This is different, this is about several fallen elite US commandos called Navy SEALS…Sea…Air…Land!

      They deserve better and so do their families. This president has the time but not the desire to want to sit behind that desk in the Oval office we paid for and be a real US president to WE the People. He could have easily hand written a letter to each and modestly initialed each one under the Seal of President.

      Only in my dreams could I see myself doing a better job of it except if the dream was reality, even I, a son of a bus driver could be a better president and so could half the Blazers.

      Patty your right – Stop complaining about Obama and go see the Movie 2016. A Rattlesnake only knows how to do one thing – Bite. Obama is only doing what he has been raised to do. If you hate America and it’s powerful Military – you make a copy of a letter and send it – I would not sign a personal letter to any fallen solder if I was Obama. Because, I love America I would personally hand deliver that letter.

      It‘s a story entitled ’Obama makes 10th visit to a military hospital (Walter Reed.)

      That was 2011.

      i dont think obama does anything authentic he is a complete fraud. its not normal. no normal person couls live this kins of fraudulent life without some kind of misgivings. and we knkw he cannot be American. I never heard that a parent in USA wiuld say to their children that someday you too might be able to make it into the middleclass- when I heard him say that I knew proof positive he is not an American

      Sweet Old Barack has no respect for the military. They are an all volunteer force and should pay for their own health insurance and life insurance, and should not get tax breaks when in combat. He feels they are over paid and under used, look at his plans to turn them into a Peace Corps type organization rather than a fighting force.
      If Sweet Old Barack is reelected the military as we know it will cease to exist. If he is not reelected I fear he will refuse to leave office and declare martial law – the military will then have to make a decistion – obey an illegal order or rebel against the president and enforce the election results. The military and its leadership have to remember that the swore too defend the constitution, not a dictator.

      This is why the military still back President Bush. The last poll put Governor Romney in front of Obama by 30 points. President Bush does a lot of fundraisers for the wounded warriors and still visits various airports to welcome the soldiers coming home. When he’s in Washington, going to Walter Reed is a must on his schedule.

    I was stationed in Germany on the East German border when Carter was president. We used to joke that by the time Carter figured out what was going on we’d be 250 miles behind Russian lines.

    If anyone is shocked over this then I am the one shocked. Obama has been too busy campaigning and destroying our country to think of the SEAL’s who died that day.
    After he took his bows and patted his own back after the bin Laden raid the SEALs were forgotten.

    When he isn’t campaigning and destroying the country he is systematically destroying our military anyway. What was a few dead SEALs or their families to him?

      This is why our SEALS and Forces in general deserve our utmost respect, because there will come times unfortunately that an Administration like Carter, Clinton, Obama come along while you’ve stepped up to serve your country in hamrs way even.       No, I didn’t get your other post but I know what you are talking about…. the “In God We Trust” short movie. There is so much that I liked about that movie it’s hard to pin-point one thing. I did like the idea of the “point” system and how he didn’t end up in Hell for so many tiny things. Stomping on the “Ricky Martin” song was good too. As well as the computer crash were the guy says, “Sorry, we’re still working with Windows”.

    I believe there is more to this incident than meets the eye, and is being covered up by this admin. My nephew was a SEAL Team member who lost his life on that chopper, and there are many questions left unanswered. My heart goes out to the families of all who have lost loved ones serving our country. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our military and veterans who gave of themselves to make America the greatest nation on earth. I only wish we had a leader who loved this country and our military as much as he loves the power of the office and the ability to be above the law of the land. obama hates America, hates our military men and women except when he can use them for his gain. He has failed to uphold his oath of office. I pray his days are numbered.

      Like it say’s in the Bible you will always have the poor with you, Moonstruck2 this for you. You are the poor ,because you have decided that we should check all of the signatures of GW Bush to see if it was by an electronic pen. Did you not hear that the family said that the entire letter was hand written. Not only was it signed by our last President, the serviceman’s name was not typed out, but hand written. You are indeed poor. When you go to the market and the fish smells I don’t care what the sign said, it’s not fresh. i served in the US Navy and was never in harms way, so I am not looking for any letter. i would like to have a letter signed by any former Illinois President, just make sure the initials are AL or RR not BHO.

      I fear that if obummer and his handlers fear that he will loose in November there will suddenly be a national or world crisis that will “require” him to declare martial law and suspend all elections and the Constitution until the crisis is over (which will not happen). He will then declare himself president for life and the USA will be under the rule of its first dictator. Why do you think the government has ordered over a BILLION rounds of hollow point ammunition.     I retired from the Army in ‘97, and my retirement certificate, and other printed forms with Clinton’ signature along with his printed form to my wife are still somewhere in a box out in the garage. Although I have considered taking that certificate and doing what Walt Disney did with his dishonorable discharge. If you get a chance to watch the introduction of his Wonderful World Of Disney shows you will see it over his left shoulder as he becomes visible in the opening credits of the show. Its in a frame up side down.

    I have always said he was a POS just more proof that he cares for no one except himself. He has no respect for our troops.
    On looking way back didn’t he say when he was in the senate that the military should pay for their own insurance account they were volunteers. Does anyone remember that?

      Unacceptable. I don’t even submit a cover letter for a job unless I have personally signed it with a pen. It is important that the families know that Obama write and signed this letter himself. Not one of his staff.

      Sometimes as President, it is necessary to send young warriors off to their death if it means people back home don’t have to die. No one denies this. But to not have the common decency to sign your name on a letter to their widows and parents is outrageous. If it were me, the entire letter would be handwritten and I would follow up with a personal phone call.

      This wouldn’t have been possible in previous wars, but in modern wars, fatalities are not as frequent on our side. There is no reason that the president shouldn’t be able to take time out of his schedule to personally console the families who have given so much.

    As a veteran, I am deeply saddened by the lack of respect this president has for our fallen heroes. Was it really too much for him to sign the thirty letters personally? Say what you want about President Bush, he respected and hornored our military.

      That’s a fact. Check it.

      Obama has visited Dover AFB to honor the returning dead.

      Bush never, ever did.

      Ok.

      So George Bush welcomes home the live servicemen, but not the dead ones.

      I seem to remember many friends of mine serving in Iraq because they were told, by Bush, that they were there to remove WMDs.

      Of course, they never found any because they never existed.

      And those soldiers wondered why they were fighting Iraqis when they’d prefer to be killing Al Quaeda in Afghanistan – the guys who were responsible for 9/11.

      So the Iraq war was completely pointless.

      Iraq had no WMDs, but we attacked them because Bush said they did.

      North Korea DOES have nuclear WMDs, and has threatened to use them against both us, our allies and our troops on the NK/SK border almost weekly – did we attack them? Nope. We went for Iraq and in doing so, greatly reduced our capacity to hunt down and kill Osama a decade ago.

      So Bush has a fair amount of guilt when it comes to that particular war.

      I have no idea why people seem to think the military prefer him.

      He got many of them killed for absolutely no reason.

      RIP.
