Fans Shocked as Lacrosse Mascot Gets 3 Lap Dances During Halftime Show

When fans of the Boston Blazers professional lacrosse team broke for halftime during the team’s home opener on Friday, they probably didn’t expect to be subjected to a raunchy show featuring girls, lap dances, and the team mascot. But much to the shock of the audience, that’s exactly what happened.
Multiple videos posted on YouTube show three dancers performing sexualized moves on the team’s mascot during a steamy halftime contest. The mascot, Scorch, was seated on a chair near midfield and a red carpet was rolled out as a path toward him. As rap music played in the background and the girls “grinded” on him, the stadium even provided “boing” sound effects. To make matters worse, the dances were also featured on the stadium’s video board — in plane view of the numerous young children in attendance.
The video has sparked outrage and a response from Blazers president and CEO Doug Reffue.
“The Boston Blazers half time act for Saturday’s game was clearly not executed according to plan,” he wrote in an official Facebook message. “We are extremely disappointed with elements of the halftime show.
“We have already taken steps to ensure this never happens again at one of our games.”
Exactly what steps were taken are unclear, but some on the team’s Facebook page wonder if they include reexamining the relationship between the organization and a local radio station. According to a description from one of the YouTube videos, local rap station “Jam’n” 94.5 FM sponsored the show which featured the station’s own “DJ Hustle”:
Great family entertainment. Female contestants were instructed by Jam’n 94.5 employee hustle Simmons to quote “make scorch (blazers mascot) hot.” This is a disturbing form of halftime entertainment for a family environment. This is up there with Janet jackson’s wardrobe malfunction.
Another video showing the dancing called it “the most distasteful halftime show ever”:

Posted on January 17, 2011 at 12:07pmIt’s minor league sports. They are always pulling stunts to attract attention. They don’t really care if people like the stunt or not, the goal is to get people to notice them.
Before this stunt about a hundred people knew that team even existed. Now millions do. As far as they’re concerned…mission accomplished. Now they can offer an apology and get back to business as usual except with a few more fannies in the seats.

(and minor investor Tim (700 Club – son of Pat) Robertson – you are close to letting your marketing people turn you into the WWE. Even some commercials from the Lacrosse companies like Maverick and Brine are selling the sport in the “wrong”way. As the eague’s owners you guys better get a handle on your teams at the local promotional level.

Posted on January 17, 2011 at 11:51amTo all of your Blazers out there, let me get this straight:
Gunning down of a Congresswoman, a Federal Judge and several bystanders–
Completely isolated incident… the product of a deranged mine that has absolutely no connection to any sort of political rhetoric or the general tone of public debate in the US.
Mascot’s lapdance during halftime at a professional lacrosse game–
Clear sign that liberals have taken over and destroyed the morals of the United States.
Hmmmm…..

Mission accomplished. Big time publicity ( have you ever seen this mascot before ) , a press release ” We will do everything to ensure this doesn’t happen again.” Duh, mission accomplished right ? All the woman in the video wanted was an apology after all, so why not get publicity at the cost of a useless apology ? Until real repercussions follow such crud this will continue to happen again and again because we all know good or bad, any publicity is good publicity.

I live here and had a 14 month old grandson that was beaten up over a french fry. And the judge gave the child abuser 90days and fined me a $1000 for comtempt. After I thanked the judge for abusing the baby all over again.
