The online social-gaming company Zynga, the makers of the wildly popular Facebook app FarmVille is expected to file paperwork tomorrow to go public … and start selling shares. Financial analysts say Zynga could raise as much as two million dollars with its initial public offering. That mean’s the company’s value could be as much as 10 times that amount.

Posted on July 5, 2011 at 11:42amFirst could anyone explain how they calculate the worth of a virtual game and second I hope it‘s worth alot so I can sue for turning people’s brain to jelly. I play the game myself but my crop‘s kept dying but now with all there new app’s I have all my new friend‘s I don’t know that take’s care of it. Last time I looked I had close to 1.5 million dollar’s. But to tell you the truth I wish I had come up with the idea I really could use a few billion then I could sell my farm!

Posted on July 5, 2011 at 3:59amI played Zynga’s “Mafia Wars” game for a while as well as “Pirates” when they supported it and “Space Wars.“ I did pay Zynga some money for both ”Pirates“ and ”Mafia Wars” because I have a policy of supporting things I like. I grew tired of “Pirates” as it was clear Zynga only cared about “Mafia Wars” as well as their new games like Farmville and the plethora of clones spunoff from it. However, “Mafia Wars” began really angering me with the amount of spamming one was required to do in order to move forward in the game. Eventually, I not only stopped playing the game but blocked it as well.
For “Farmville,” I never really got into it nor its similar games. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Now, I just play War Metal (http://apps.facebook.com/war_machine/) on Facebook because it is simple, quick to play (most of the time), and involves strategy when it comes to laying out ones forces for battle against other players or against Epic boss fights.

Posted on July 4, 2011 at 10:53pmExactly… two years ago I was always trying to figure out when I could afford to by my next HDTV, or my next big gadget…
Now… I’m getting ready for kid # 2 and trying to figure out how best to spend every single extra dollar on storing food, buying guns/ammo, and supplies to help support my family should something bad go down that I really believe is coming.
My how things have changed… spending money on a FB game… akin to putting my head in the sand and asking for some rain.

Remind me not to buy any shares. I predict the share prices will peak on the day of the IPO and fall steadily after that.

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 5:18amIsn’t 10 times 2 million – 20 million? I don’t know I attended public school but the the headline of 20 billion sounds a little off.

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 2:46amGOOD FOR HER, THAT IS TRUE ENTREPRENEURSHIP
I am not a fan of the game, I think it is a little immature and boring, but there are so many people using it. She saw a nitch and grew because she targeted on it.
Our President jokes about jobs that weren’t created: http://tiny.cc/z2hhb
In order to create jobs in this economy, as a President, you had to have had a job: http://tiny.cc/5jjc8 . All of these GOP candidates have had jobs and businesses of their own with experiences that will help them bring back this economy.
OUR PRESIDENT IS NO ENTREPRENEUR AND WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO CREATE A SINGLE JOB.

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 9:15amIt amazes me how many people pay them to play these free games, they set them up where to be near the top, you have to pay $, it’s amazing how many people are willing to pay money to see their name at the top of a leader board in a game.

Posted on July 4, 2011 at 10:45pmMaybe a little research into the real numbers would be good for someone such as yourself?
The snippet here at TheBlaze was blockquoted from the FoxNews article. Maybe you should be barking a puff up Shep’s ace: http://www.businessinsider.com/zynga-ipo-filing-2011-6
“Zynga could be filing with the SEC to go public tomorrow, CNBC’s Kate Kelly just reported.
(Update: We’ve since gotten another tip that a “major investor” in the company has confirmed that the S-1 is coming as soon as tomorrow.)
Kelly says the company is looking to raise $1.5 billion to $2 billion, and get a $15-$20 billion valuation.”
But no. Why would you want to do your own research that took me all of 60 seconds? Because it is far easier for someone such as yourself to utter nonsense and flames than it is to think for yourself.
Hrm, maybe that’s the key right there.

Take from the Social Security people have paid into all their lives. He doesn’t know how to be an entrepreneur because he never helped anyone. He’s too busy using his position as his family credit card. Trips to Africa to help the poor???? HA she took half her family and went on a safari. That’s saving money???
