Farrakhan Condemns Killing of ‘Brother’ Gadhafi: ‘Assassination’

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has expressed his support for Moammar Gadhafi in the past. And now he’s speaking out on the former leaders “assassination.”
The Chicago Tribune has some of the highlights of Farrakhan’s thoughts to WVON-AM RADIO:
“I know something of the good of Moammar Gadhafi that made me to love him as a brother and to feel a great sense of loss at his assassination,” Farrakhan said during a two-hour interview with radio host Cliff Kelley on WVON-AM.
Later in the show, he said: “Gadhafi died in honor, fighting for the Libya that he believed in.”
[...]
“Did he kill people? Well, hell, did our president kill people? Talk back to me!” Farrakhan said, prompting some of his supporters to say, “Yes,” in reply.
“You have made your president an assassin, that the only value that he has now is that he was responsible for the death of (al-Qaida leader) Osama bin Laden,” Farrakhan said, his voice rising. “He was captured without a weapon. He should have been brought to America, put on trial for the American people to see this man. But he was executed so you will never know the real truth.”
You can hear some if it below:
Want to hear more of Farrakhan’s rants? Watch some of our previous videos showing some of his incredible statements, here.
It’s worth pointing out that the Tribune points out some of the financial connections Farrakhan had to Gadhafi. The site TheGrio.com also noted some of those connections this summer.

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 11:50amEveryone does. Who doesn’t?
The issue at hand here is do we as Americans support the assassinations of foreign leaders. Many of the same not all of the allegations against Gadhaffi could be made about Obama or Bush. How would we feel if a foreign nation took out our President?
You know we have the Geneva convention for a reason and while ole Britt Hume from FOX News can snicker and joke all he wants over how Gadhaffi will not be mourned for long… Well let’s just say don’t be surprised when you sow to the wind that you don’t soon reap the whirlwind!

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 12:10pm…but there *is* a grain of truth to it.
Qaddaffi was, in fact, executed. He was alive when he was captured, and his corpse was being paraded through the streets within hours. Last night, I also saw that pictures are circulating that are purported to be of Qaddaffi, shortly after he was pulled out of the drain pipe and someone was sodomizing him with a stick. This is the part of the world where they behead people for minor offenses. I don’t put that past them.
There was absolutely no honor in what happened there. In that part of the world, people will do absolutely anything to humiliate an enemy before he‘s killed and then defile the corpse after he’s dead.
It’s entirely in keeping with a culture that stones girls to death for the capital crime of being raped.

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 12:31pmThere is nothing wrong with assassinating a foreign leader that has sponsored terror against this country for years including sponsoring the Lockerbie bomber. No one would have balked at assisnating Hitler. He was a known sponsor of terrorism and was an evil man to boot that impoverished his people. Brutally treated his opposition with torture and death without trial. His henchmen raped women at will and with impunity. He did unimaginable evil to his people for decades. To criticize them for their treatment of this man as carnal or base is to not understand what the lived under for decades and generations. It is good he is gone, however, our inactivity in the establishment of a secular government is a huge mistake in foreign policy as Islamists will move in and seize the opportunity to make this a Muslim stronghold.

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 1:01pmI am so glad someone pointed out the existance of the Geneva Convention, yes we do have it for a reason, to help Americas enemies! America fights the enemies that could care less about the Geneva Convention only to the extent that it hampers the American military. I stll hold a Geneva Convention card and when I need a good joke I pull it out and look at it.

The problem here is, we didn’t do it. His own countrymen did. Geneva doesn’t apply.
@ watchtheotherhand & gwssacredcause
There’s still the matter of simple human dignity. I’m not mourning his death, but how about forcing him to live in exile after he’s been captured alive rather than executing him without even the right to a fair trial? You know what? Nevermind that. How about the right not to be sexually assaulted upon being captured?
The world is minus another tyrant and is better for it, but he deserved basic human dignity at the end, didn’t he?

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 9:22pm@leftfighter: How can you say we didn’t do it? Do you think Gadafhii would have ever been on the run if not for the US War Machine? Besides didn’t an American drone strike his convoy? I believe it‘s a little naive to say America didn’t do it. Sure it was not an American that pulled the trigger blowing his brains out but America was responsible for it no matter how you slice it.
watchtheotherhand. You are a raving fool! I’ll repeat it to the the day I die.. Our Jewish bankers supported Lenin and Stalin all of those years as they slaughtered countless millions of Christians in a time of peace.. Before WW2 broke out one probably couldn’t find 2 dozen executions in which Hitler was responisble for and they were probably all justified.. Regardless we allied with Marxists which was exponentially more evil than Hitler because we are under a Jewish/Marxist occupation.

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 10:53amDidn’t Glenn tell the Democrats to be extremely careful about their alliances with the far-left??? When the far-left feels as though your (Democrats) usefulness is over or they have been betrayed, they will rise up in violence against the betrayer. It sounds as though Louis Farrakkan feels betrayed by the killings of his friends/mentors.

personally, we would have let gaddafi go, let his rioters find him and deal with him. like they eventually did. he wa sa monster BUT gaddafi had disarmed his stockpile for America and he had kept sharia law at bay ==== now obama has deliberately killed him off to further enable islam’s worst to spread thru all of Northern Africa and the Middle East

Posted on October 26, 2011 at 10:25amAs a lifelong conservative, and member of the republican party, I have kept my opinions about foreign policy to my self. As I have gotten older, I am seeing such similarities in the republican and democratic party policy that I really don’t know the difference. But having said all of that, at least Bush captured Saddam and handed him over to the Iraqi people to be tried in a court of his peers. What gives this president the right to target, and assassinate people by way of executive order? I became disillusioned with Bush in his last two years, and by my count..Obama has not only continued his policies, but has expanded them. We all need to come together as Americans and state for the record that it is the WILL of the people not the power of the party, that must be achieved. I say vote out everyone who does not represent their districts, and for president…vote only for those that hold the constitution in the highest regard as the LAW of the LAND. Republicans and democrats have become like pro wrestling….we have good guys and villains on t.v meanwhile they are all laughing it up with each other when the cameras go dark behind closed doors! This will be the year of the constitution!!!! and for the record..Farrakhan is a race trading hate monger who divides black Americans and stirs the pot for his own gain.
