Feingold Skips Home State Obama Rally in One of Largest Liberal Areas

WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — Democratic Party Chairman Timothy Kaine says he sees no slight in Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold skipping a campaign rally tonight where President Barack Obama is appearing on his behalf.

Kaine tells CBS’s “The Early Show” that candidates “make their own decisions about these things.” And Kaine, a former Virginia governor, says Feingold understands that Obama can energize the party’s base.

Kaine says Obama is appealing particularly to college-age youths to become more active in the mid-term elections, saying “we just need to make them aware of the importance of these elections.” Obama’s standing in public opinion polls has been falling in recent months, and some Democratic candidates have been reluctant to appear with him.

But a story in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel might offer a better clue as to why Feingold wants to skip the event. According to the Journal, the area near where the rally is being held — the University of Wisconsin in Madison — is one of the most liberal in the state and possibly the country.

For example, in one voting ward next to the Library Mall where the president speaks Tuesday, Obama defeated Hillary Clinton 88% to 12% (Obama received 1,122 votes in Ward 45, Clinton only 160) during the 2008 Democratic primary.

In the general election against John McCain, Obama’s majorities in certain Madison wards (not all of them campus wards) were as high as 93%, which the papers says are “among the highest figures for Obama anywhere in the country in precincts without a large black population.”

“So when the president comes to Madison on Tuesday, he’ll be returning to what was arguably the epicenter of Obama-mania in this state two long years ago,” the Journal says.

That might explain why Feingold isn’t attending. His Republican challenger, Ron Johnson, is leading the polls by an average of 8.4 points (and as much as 11 points in some polls). So at a time when Feingold is trying to appeal to moderates, and desperately in need of votes, being seeing in one of the most liberal areas with a very unpopular president might not be a good idea.

bunch of hypocritical B#%$^&^s. They stand up, tax us, sborrow money, spend it, expand government maliciously, and then hide from the truth…. These politicians need to be taught a lesson. Loosing their seats in the house or senate is not good enough. They need to sent to a re-education camp to be reindoctrinated in to wwhat being an American is and what the meaning of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence is..

The democrats are not bragging about bank bail outs, union pension fund bail outs, or the health care take over. Obama is the kiss of death on reelection campaigns. Obama talked a good game but now the people have educated them self’s on Obama speak. He twists good to bad. He will talk you into believing that sore tooth is necessary or some thing you caused. The trillion dollar question is; is it sadly misguided ambition or intentional harm he is causing the country.

From the first week during the Obama Administration, he has lied, deceived and cheated the American people but the media, liberals, progressives, socialists and Congress have enabled him to do so. Obama knows nothing about schools, nutrition, health, manufacturing, car industries, banks, Wall Street or the U.S. military. Obama is a cruel hoax groomed and directed by the Bilderberg shadow government. This is the same shadow government that brought us Clinton and both Bushes. He has employed many of the same tax cheats from these previous failed administrations. It is very disturbing to see well meaning American voters fooled by the cooperating media and high tech propaganda and outright lies!

Feingold gave up representing the interests of the people of Wisconsin two years into his first term.

In emails starting a year ago I promised Feingold I would do everything in my power to see that he does not get reelected. My support dollars are going to Ron Johnson.

Hallelujah, Obama’s time is running out. Even so many of his Democratic (liberal progressives) who supported him before are seeing the light and now fear of getting pink slips in November. Obama made a tremendous attempt to destroy this great country but with God on our side, the illustrious smooth talking Obama will be on his way into the sunset the sooner the better. Thank you God for blessing Glen Beck’s rally. Glen and Sarah Palin ROCK!

The same goes for the very liberal Representative (Charlie Melancon) who is running against Senator Vitter. They are like a bunch of chickens we have here, when it rains they run for cover.
