Female Deputy Sues for $50M After Topless Photos Used in Sting Op Against Pedophiles Allegedly Get Passed Around the Office

Deputy Krystal Rice, from Watertown, New York, is suing her co-workers for $50 million after topless photos she agreed to take as part of a sting operation against pedophiles were allegedly passed around the office, and her superiors reportedly began harassing and “isolating” her.

Rice agreed to take the photos when she was still in training, but only after she signed a contract that gave her ownership of the images.  Meant to portray a 15-year old girl, the pictures were reportedly sent to potential pedophiles as “bait.”

However, Rice maintains that despite repeated requests for the CD containing the photos, she has been consistently rebuffed.

Furthermore, according to the 45-page lawsuit, the detective who originally took the photos in 2006 kept the risqué images on his laptop– and may have shown them to everyone in the office.

But the story does not end there.

Detective Cote allegedly began making personal advances at Rice after taking the semi-nude photos, while simultaneously spreading stories about the break-up of her marriage.

Though she primarily ignored him until 2009, after he called the mother of the man she was seeing to say she had “slept with half the [police] department,“ and her son should ”have himself tested“ if he had engaged in ”any sort of contact with her,” she made a complaint at work.

There, she was allegedly told that the office was a “Good ol‘ boy’s club,” and that nothing would change.

It didn’t stop at the photos,” her lawyer explained.  “There was harassment, isolation, marginalization in the workplace also because she refused to go along with the advances that [Detective Cote] had made to her and there were rumors being spread about her personally and professionally.”

And now, Rice’s lawyer has allegedly been threatened to drop the case.

The woman said she received a call from a restricted number and, after the individual told her he was connected to the Sheriff’s department, said she had to drop the case or he would make it “difficult” for her to practice law in New York, would see to it that she was pulled over every time she got in her car, and generally make her life “unbearable.”

When asked whether the caller was threatening her, the person allegedly responded that he was just telling her “how things were going to be.”

The lawyer is married to a Fort Drum soldier, who also reported the incident up his chain of command.

Rice says she feels “dirty, exposed and extremely embarrassed by these events and incidents,“ and her lawyer maintains that the whole situation is ”outrageous and sad.”

Huh? You mean she actually posed semi-nude for a male police officer turned photographer? Hello?

Krystal, dear, methinks you are far too naive to face the real world on your own. Didn’t your mom warn you about the differences between boys and girls?

Some things you can’t take back. Those pics are one of them. Why aren’t all the the cop-hating feminists coming to this woman’s aid? She’s going to need all the help she can get.

The internet has taught us one thing, nothing is private anymore. That being said they were wrong and should be suspended, fired and harrassment charges but 50M, no.

      1. If you don’t want to be treated like a whore, then don’t disrobe for pictures, for whatever reason.
      2. If you’re showing adults pictures of an adult woman, it’s not pedophilia, no matter what age she is “supposed to be”.

SHe can ask for $50 million, but that doesn‘t mean it’s the amoount she’ll get. It’s called a bargaining point. Ask for the most, settle for a lesser, more agreeable amount.
As for her boobies being worth $50 mil… that’s for her and the court to decide- and it isn’t the boobies that are on trial, but the cops who’re doing the harassing, so the amount is moot.

To top it all, sin is sin but in the last 20 yrs, “everything” is out there and even 12yr old girls know more about sin then when we “baby-boomers” were that age. If you read the article it says she agreed to take the photos as part of a sting operation. She’s was in training and probably wanted to help with an operation that she felt pationate about. Female officers do other things such as pose as prostitutes wearing revealing outfits. I can’t see how anyone can criticize this woman when the end game to the operation and I am sure in the hearts of all involved was to see the arrest(s) of peophiles that otherwise might have molested an underage girl(s)…or worse. And it wasn’t just about the pics of her ****. It was the treatment that she received after the fact. If a male co-worker at any reputable business did half of what this guy did he would have been fired in short order. Quickest way to get shown the door.

Why are we still trying to bait people into illegal activity? It costs money to do. It costs money to take them to trial. It costs money to put them in jail. And it costs us all money as we lose another taxpayer for years if not a lifetime. IF someone is a pedophile and acts on it on their own, throw the damn book at them based upon the severity of their offense. A 30 year old having a relationship with a 16 or 17 year old is a far cry from a grown person having a relationship with an actual child. Stop the witch hunt and let the legal system work like it is supposed to.

She should win enough in the lawsuit so she can leave her job and be financially secure. Then she should be awarded an amount that should financially ruin those that were involved. Law enforcement should be given the highest level of respect. When officers and organizations are involved in misconduct they should be punished at the highest level.

Okay, $50 Million? No way. $20 Million max before the haggling. Probably end up with $5 Million. She was wronged in a major way and I want all of those people who mader her life hell to loose thier job and be brought up on charges (Harrassment if not stalking or worse).

As far as the arguments about the cops not being able to use her immages as actual “under age” material it actually doesn’t make a difference. As an ex-cop I’ll try to explain. If people accept something at face value and doing so knowing that whatever they are accepting is illegal, charges can be brought against them. They are knowingly and willfully accepting an illegal item (that can be photos, pot, stolen cars, etc) or what they believe is an illegal item. How do you think the FBI is able to charge all the Muslim Terrorist who they provide with “fake” bomb materials. The individuals “believe” they are real and are sincere in wanting to blow up Americans/their targets, and in actively participating in that attempt, are guilty of that particular crime.

      Does that help everyone?

I don’t know whether to be ashamed or furious at the many (mostly male) comments in regards to what this policewoman did. The article doesn’t give detailed info, but it would seem that as a young rookie, still in training, probably just out of the academy, she was asked BY THE DEPARTMENT if she would be willing to pose as bait to catch some evil dudes, those who prey on young girls on the internet. I’m guessing that she trusted THE DEPARTMENT, but still demanded guidelines as she retained ownership of the pictures. Can any of you imagine the pressure she was under at that request? That she agreed to do it is probably something that MOST young officers in training would do upon a similar request from the department superiors if they truly want to become members of the force. That you degrade the woman with lewd comments only seems to degrade you.

If you can‘t trust those who are put in authority to protect society then it’s time to take the system apart by exposing the bad apples and throwing them on the trash heap. The whole department should be fired and all their benefits taken away for abrogating their terms of employment and oath of office.

I thought cops weren’t actually allowed to go that far, for any reason. Undercover cops posing as prostitutes or as potential clients, for example, aren’t allowed to expose themselves. Which is why, if you ever watch those reality police shows, you’ll notice some prostitutes ask the “client” to show himself to her before she mentions prices. I’m no cop. . .so maybe I’m wrong. But something seems off about this. Possibly she was being played from the start, or she’s lying. Either possibility is despicable.

All the 14 year old snot-nosed hacks on the Blaze never fail to disappoint. Now ALL cops are evil and ALL cops are corrupt. HEY! I have an idea! Why don’t we just disband all the police departments nation wide! Then we wouldn’t have to worry about all those evil pigs, yeah!!!

Nobody said all cops are bad. But, obviously, there are some serious problems upstate at the Watertown Police department. Its not that hard to see. Take a prozac and chill out, homeboy.

Well actually THENIZZUTZ there are and have been many in the past on here who have suggested that all cops are bad, those people are the aim of my sarcasm. And I agree, hold the guilty cops accountable for their actions, they reflect poorly on the good decent respectable cops.

It’s so sad the way that people are now days! The police officer is very pretty, but that’s no way to treat any human being! I’m not all for stings now days because they are trying to get people into trouble that would not otherwise think this way if it were not for the temptation that they bestow upon them. In a way wouldn’t you think that stings such as those are only there to harm more than protect? I have never been in a prostitution sting nor into any other. Don’t cops somewhat feel guilty on perpetration of what they do to others? Shouldn’t there be a moral ground in police work as well?

Why don’t people teach integrity anymore? Why do sick people think this way? I really cannot understand why anyone would ever think this way towards a child. I cannot understand how anyone could grow up thinking this way. When I was a child people never dreamed of being like this nor did I ever see anyone or know of anyone that was a pedophile.

I would want to think that our police also would have integrity in giving a good image also. I do think we should teach our children good habits to live by. In many countries people don’t see this kind of behavior nor condone it and the police have integrity!

The sad thing is that when the police, politicians, any government agency behaves badly it not the individuals who pay; its the citizens. How does that teach them a lesson? If they think its ok to see her naked maybe they should all have to pay her alimony? Things didn’t work out.

How did they come up with $50 mil? Obama math? Assuming her claims are accurate, this is dumb all around. It sounds like a prank that went very wrong. Have these people not heard of Photoshop? It is NY…there has to be a starving, liberal artist sitting around looking to make a few bucks. In an hour you’d have teets on anything you wanted.

I have lost nearly all respect for cops in general. Every day we hear stories about crooked and immoral cops. If you talk to old timers you will find out that has been ever so. Cops on the take. Cops moving drugs or booze in the depression. Cops are just the gang in blue.
