Whether residents were mentally ready or not, a training exercise involving Air Force KC-135 tankers, Air Force F-16s, and a Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopters took place this morning in Chicago as part of the military’s preparation for the NATO Summit that begins on Sunday.

According to the local CBS affiliate, the U.S. North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command Region training began at 9 a.m. Central time and was expected to take about two hours. Here’s more on how the aircraft will be used to help protect the airspace around the city that will be hosting world leaders and dignitaries from May 20-22:
“Providing the air defense for special security events like this year’s NATO Summit is a part of our day-to-day mission,” said Lt. Gen. Sid Clarke, Continental U.S. NORAD Region commander said in a statement. “Our interagency partnerships are a key component to the air defense shield for events like this.”
During the NATO Summit, Air Force fighter jets will be on alert to enforce the Federal Aviation Administration’s Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) zone during the summit. Military jets have been authorized to shoot down any aircraft that violates secure airspace over Chicago.
Here‘s CBS’ report on the training from earlier this morning:
…
CBS also reports that the Pentagon has made a comment on the recent unconfirmed drone sighting in a suburb 40 miles from the city. It notes Defense Department spokesman George Little didn’t comment on the event specifically but said the military will be providing support to secure the summit.

Posted on May 18, 2012 at 6:02pmIt’s faked. The drone is not in the field of vision before he zooms. He would have moved the camera to the drone, not it’s perceived path. Targeting a moving object requires one to see said object in the reticle first, then zooming to it using it as a point of reference. Notice it is not present until after he zooms. Faked by some douche using a movie making app. Amateur.

Posted on May 19, 2012 at 7:16pmI think you are correct in it being faked. Drones make little noise, why then in the ruckus of filming and loud reverberations of the the fans and the children during a soccer game should this supposed “capturer on film” suddenly reverse angles to spot the drone? Something tells me he has the elephatine ears of hearing similiar to The One. “Closed to any other train of thought but his own.”

Posted on May 20, 2012 at 6:45pmI don‘t know that it’s faked. As far as your ‘field of vision’ explanation trust me, some of us COULD zoom into the sky before an object entered the field of vision, especially someone with poor eyesight like myself. I‘ve actually ’picked’ a spot in the PATH of a plane, hawk, etc to ‘catch it’ as it comes into line with the lens. My intention then is to capture it as it flies INTO the camera’s field of vision and then keep it in focus and pan the camera as it moves forward. As I‘ve gotten older my eyes don’t respond like they used to so it can be nearly impossible to find the object (moving in the sky) as I zoom into it (by time I do the object has usually moved beyond where I zoomed to). So you see it’s NOT necessarily a fake because of how this video appears. It’s a hard fact of life that your responses change greatly as you get older and what seems so easily explained away might not really BE that simple (trust me, I know this from experience).
The noise on the video seemed strange to me at first since I thought drones were supposed to be pretty much silent making them hard to detect. But playing it again I think the noise we hear on the video is actually the wind over the mike. And it IS possible that this person was standing somewhere alone with no others close enough to him for the mike to pick their voices up. So like I said, maybe it‘s a fake but maybe it’s not. I just don‘t think it’s that cut and dried.

Posted on May 18, 2012 at 3:56pmChicago….The host committee and the city have estimated the NATO, G8 summits
could cost $40 million to $65 million
and will be paid by donations from the private sector
and FEDERAL FUNDS,
not by local taxpayers. Officials would not release fundraising goals.
WHERE do FEDERAL funds come from IF NOT from taxpayers?
Saying ‘not local taxpayers’ means that all American taxpayers are paying this cost for Chicago. Rahm and obama are pouring tax $$ into Chicago when these meetings could have been held at Camp David. Saying ‘it will cost’ means the money is going to UNION workers in Chicago. Extra workers, overtime, and security are all union jobs.

Posted on May 18, 2012 at 3:47pmHave You Ever Heard Of “The Declaration of INTERdependence” ?
My grandparents, my parents, and probably yours have been asleep at the wheel. This is treasonous shxt signed by 32 senate and 92 House of Reps. going to the 70′s. Without you studing the issues its to late……….Read this very carefully.
The DECLARATION of INTERdependence -
“Two centuries ago our forefathers brought forth a new nation; now we must join with others to bring forth a NEW WORLD ORDER.“ ”Narrow notions of national sovereignty must not be permitted to curtail that obligation.” “To establish a NEW WORLD ORDER it is essential that mankind free itself from limitations of national prejudice. No one nation can any longer effectively maintain its processes of production and monetary systems without recognizing the necessity of collaborative regulation BY INTERNATIONAL AUTHORITIES.

Posted on May 18, 2012 at 2:54pmFor what it’s worth… Alex Jones is reporting the there were two warrantless raids that took place recently in Chicago. Nine “activists” are being held in the organized crime detention center with no charges filed. The National Lawyers Guild has spoken to the detainees, but is getting nowhere with officials at any level regarding details of their detainment. As always, I’ll wait to see if another source picks it up before I rush to any conclusions, but it is pretty spooky. NDAA being used even though Obama said he wouldn’t detain American citizens?

If this were done normal life in cities could go on without streets being full of filthy ‘protesters’ and all traffic and business tied up for ‘security’. The other benefit would come from no night life, to waste tax payer funds on, so the ‘Oh so wonderful’ hacks would GO HOME.

Posted on May 20, 2012 at 6:10pmI agree with what you‘re saying except for saying we’d ‘return to morality’. That horse left the barn LONG before Obama became POTUS. American was VASTLY morally corrupted before that happened and perhaps God allowed Obama to BE installed as Pres. as a punishment for America’s moral decay (or at least as a wake up call). I DO feel it‘s far worse since he got in but let’s be realistic about the immorality in the U.S. Obama DIDN‘T ’bring it’. But he HAS ‘aided and abetted it’ and even PROMOTED it!

Posted on May 18, 2012 at 12:26pmNATO has murdered more people in foreign lands in the name of “peace” the last 10 years than any nation. The US lead killing. NATO was created to counter Russians. Now we have an alliance policing the world killing and destroying anyone they disagree with. NATO plans to take over the US military and then America will become a state nation under the UN. In 2001-2006 NATO killed 500,000 children in Iraq alone. 500,000. That’s criminal by all standards. “We Americans have no commission from God to police the world.” President Benjamin Harrison
Americans heritage is under attack from within. “Americans will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Abraham Lincoln
There are up to 1,000 people in Washington that should be brought before a Constitutional court and tried for Constitutional treason. Example “Nationalism is no longer a viable concept.” Zbigniew Brzezinski
What to do………..Speak out for your Constitution. All freedom in the US solely comes from the Constitution and Bill of RIghts. NEVER GIVE UP YOUR GUNS – PEACEKEEPERS. ” A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, WHICH WOULD INCLUDE THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT.” George Washington “
