BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) — Country music star Trace Adkins lost his home to a fire Saturday afternoon.
Adkins’ spokeswoman said in a statement to The Associated Press that the singer and actor was headed to Alaska to perform when his house caught fire. He was on his way back to Tennessee late Saturday.
His wife, Rhonda, and their daughters were not injured.
Fire officials told The Tennessean newspaper that Adkins’ home in this suburb south of Nashville was a total loss. The blaze was reported at 3:35 p.m. and firefighters responded within minutes.
“Trace wishes to express his gratitude for the immediate response of the Brentwood Fire Department and is humbled by the outpouring of concern from friends and fans.” Adkins spokeswoman Tiffany Shipp said in an email.
Adkins is scheduled to play the CMA Music Festival next Saturday.

Posted on June 5, 2011 at 8:04pmIt‘s disheartening that Trace’s home became engulfed in an inferno while he was away performing his country soundtracks, but the only thing that matters is that his family is safe. I hope he’ll find a new home soon, and God bless Trace.

Posted on June 5, 2011 at 7:53pmI don’t know Trace, but he is a great entertainer and seems likes the real deal. I gained a wealth of respect for him on Celebrity Apprentice due to his love of his daughter and desire to find a cure for her food allergies. He supports our Troops and while his book, “A Personal Stand” will not resonate with any Eastern liberals, it spoke directly to my wife and me. Pure Conservative values and common sense.
And when I bow my head tonight
There’ll be no me, myself and I
Just watch my wife and kids please Lord
That‘s all I’ll ask for any more
Tonight we’ll be adding you to the list Big Man.

Posted on June 5, 2011 at 7:30pmI grew up in the south and hated country music, however, Trace and a few others have converted me in my middle age. I really like his music and his stance on politics. That being said, I do believe that karma came back to bite him in the ass. Let me explain, on Memorial Day he and a few other CM stars was on the top 20 countdown show talking about their experiences entertaining the troops overseas. All of them talked about how it changed their lives and that it was their honor to go overseas to see the troops. At the end of the show, Trace said something on camera that just spoiled the whole concept for me. He said on camera “I better be getting paid for this!” I’m just saying……….

Posted on June 5, 2011 at 8:29pmI don‘t know if it would have been donated and I don’t think any less of Trace, I just think that was bad timing for his comment.

Posted on June 5, 2011 at 6:56pmTrace lives in a southern suburb of Nashville called Brentwood. Brentwood transitions into Franklin and both communities have many country music people scattered among us. They are wonderful neighbors and most contribute in many ways that sometimes go unnoticed. Trace is at the top of that list. I talked to one of his neighbors that I play golf with and he said the house went up so fast that it was a miracle no one was hurt. Thank God Rhonda and the girls were not at home.

Carry on Trace…we need you!

‘Scuse me while I go buy a few more Trace Adkins CD’s – yes, I still use CDs in the old FORD truck.
Now, don‘t go hatin’ on me for the Ford. I used to be a Chevy man. Then that Ozobama bought the company with my own money, and gave it to the union-thugs. NOT the employees, the UNIONS.
Anyway, God bless you, man! (@Trace & family)

Posted on June 5, 2011 at 8:06pmIndeed, thank God his family is safe and unharmed. Stuff and things can be replaced; human life is the one that cannot be replaced or have a value put upon in any means.
I also hope this fire was a accident or a defect in something and not a arsonist targeting the place either accidentily or deliberatly.
