Firefighters Dressed in Drag Combat Fire During St. Patty’s Day Parade

MN Firefighters Combat Fire Dressed In Drag During St. Pattys ParadeThe Sauk Centre Fire Department in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, was holding a St. Patrick‘s Day fundraiser during a local parade when the volunteer force’s festivities were interrupted by an emergency blaze.

While the 30-member crew is more than equipped to tackle these sorts of issues, the firefighters didn’t have the proper gear. In fact, the men were dressed in drag in an effort to entertain parade-goers.

It was surely more dangerous for these men to begin combating the fire while decked out in dresses and not protective suits, they quickly jumped in to help stem the spread of the blaze. After all, the fire had moved from their own truck to a nearby SUV, as Jalopnik reports. There wasn’t time to wait for the nearest emergency crew to arrive.

On his YouTube page, bystander Paul Streitz shared a video of the incident as well as the following explanation:

Moments before the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the small town of Padua, Minnesota, was about to begin, a truck fire broke out at the end of the block. Fortunately, the all-volunteer firefighting crew from nearby Sudan, Minnesota, was on hand to celebrate their 125th anniversary and to raise money to pay for their new fire hall and truck; one of their members was set to drive the city’s new fire truck in the parade and the others were on a float dressed in drag to entertain the crowd.

When a truck erupted in flames, people called 911 to alert the fire department that was assigned to that jurisdiction; but that crew was 15 miles away and some members of the general public were already attempting to put out the blaze with fire extinguishers, which can be exceptionally dangerous. When the blaze spread to an SUV, the Sedan crew decided to take action to prevent possible injuries as well as further damage to additional vehicles or to the surrounding fields and crop land. So the Sedan firefighters, still in drag, grabbed equipment from their truck and put out the blaze in two minutes, some of them adjusting their brightly colored dresses as they did so.

Yes, it was dangerous for these firefighters to do what they did, but in my mind they are heroes.

Watch the firefighters combat the blaze in drag:

Hi, Bryan. Think about what is required for fire: the fuel, oxygen, and a high enough temperature for the chemical reaction to occur. If you dump dirt or sand on the last of your campfire or cover someone with a blanket when their clothing is ablaze, you’re cutting the fuel off from its supply of oxygen. When you hose down a fire with water, you’re not only putting water between the fuel and the oxygen, you’re also lowering the temperature.
High praise to those volunteer firefighters. They clearly are courageous, unselfish men.

If you are upset that these firefighters were in a dress you are a tool, and part of the problem. You are the reason that people think that republicans are all religious nut jobs and won’t listen to any of the great economic insight the party offers.

If you are bashing firefighters unions, turn down your radio. I have never met a firegfighter that would sit back and watch something burn or put others at risk because it’s not part of their contract. Unions are bad but most people are good and will do what is right.

Welcome to the Blaze, where the truth is exactly whatever they believe it is. For all the good the Republican Party could bring, they are dragged down by the religious right that prance around like they have something stuck where the sun doesn’t shine with a bible in one arm and their nose held high. Where broad generalizations are made but when the same are made of them, they complain of being unfairly characterized. Where believing in something requires that you attempt to force others to believe the same, where big government is only bad when the power isn’t in their hands.

These guys are off the hook heroes, just like my hometown firefighters. and as for them sucking up their manly pride and dressing in drag to amuse folks and raise money to buy a new fire engine because they DON’T bring home a paycheck? I don’t care if they were in the showerstall…the uniform(clothes) do NOT make the man/person. I used to live in Chi-cago…a few years-back, A Firefighter, not on duty was in his own home. The house next door went up in flames, and HE jumped-up, ran out of his house, and out out the fire with his and his neighbor’s gardenhoses!! When HE genty to work, later, HE was arested and charged for putting-out a fire when not [on-duty] and not [in uniform]…These are UNION firedepartments…the UNION-leadership are IDIOTS!! When the firetruck actually arrived(10min-orso), the house would have burned-down! Almost everyone on that block(and more) saw the man and the fire-go-out!…almost 30people were witnesses for the defence…The F–ng UNION was laughed-out-of-the-courtroom.

Blazers you absolutely amaze me sometimes. Sometimes you jut have to let loose. What part of they were attempting to be funny and raise money for their station don’t you understand? And for those of you saying it was only a small truck fire and no one was in real danger, what would have happened if the fire finally reached the gas tank and then caused an explosion that really could have hurt a lot of people. And I don’t think just because they are in drag that it means they are gay or anything like that or support homosexuality, it is a freaking COSTUME!! In my hometown we have a baseball game every year where the firefighters and police officers all dress in drag to raise money for their stations. Just because they are in drag, doesn‘t mean they aren’t heroes. I applaud these VOLUNTEER firefighters for doing what they knew was right!

FYI Baddoggy, volunteers are not union firefighters. I do not like the idea of men dressing as women. The last time I heard , at least before Odumba, this was a free country. The firefighters did what they train to do. They put out fires. There is nothing that says they have to put the fire out in another fire department’s territory, but what else would you expect them to do?

Some of you people don’t get it. This was a volunteer company. The fire wasn’t in their district. That could have sat back and let the district company 15 miles away handle it, but that’s not how we roll. We cause I’m a volunteer fireman as well. You need to understand that these people are always putting their lives on the line for little more reward but maybe a thank you.

When did people first do this. It would be good to know.

Miners & other people out west “pretended” to be women as social gatherings (dances) due to the lack of women. If we let an LGBT do the research on this, then the will claim that it wasn’t innocent fun & that something Freudian was going on. They will further claim that 100% of these people coupled thereafter.

Well we have so-called christian politicians going to Bohemian Grove and dressing in drag and having a thinly veiled satanic ritual every year where they burn a human efigy – this Mollock worship ritual they call “cremation of care”. We have a POTUS who was raised with a transsexual nanny, most of the interns these days in congressional and senate offices are pushing a homosexual agenda..small wonder…and if you really want an eye opener read the attached which sites a lot of homosexual writings in their papers to find out how disengenuous the whole thing is. Born gay is a lie, no science to support it, this whole queer acceptance thing is about politcal power so they can continue a immoral and perverse lifestyle without having to deal with the immorality of it. Sodomy is an act they turned into a protected, oppressed class. But among themselves there are many incidents of HETEROSEXUAL relationships. They also know “reparative therapy” works and they are vicious to anyone who comes out of the queer life. As long as you say you are “gay” for political power purposes the community is ok with the lies. This movement began in Germany in the Wiemar Republic and here in the USA the initiator was a member of occult O.T.O. Its all in this paper and a lot more. Part of the agenda is destroying the family and reverence for God and the bible. This isn’t about tolerance but dominance by perversion!

      YAHSHUARULES

      About beng born gay.

I read poster of Marginal Revolutions that he didn’t believe in the born gay theory. He stated that he didn’t believe that such a complex behavior could be genetically encoded. I tried to find that post because he said so well (better than I could).

I don’t believe in the hoax. Marginal Revolution did link to a study by economists that showed homosexuality was linked to economic factors. So that proved that “on the margins” homosexual activity was a CHOICE. I copied that story.

Most gays when you ask them about the gay gene hem & haw & talk about epigenetics. Now they just say we are, we don’t need an explanation & deal with it.

I am dealing with it. I want to separate from them. They don’t like that ideal either of live & let live. They need a host like a parasite does.

If a large portion of society separated from the gay elements of society what harm would come to them? They will say that gays will be born among the separatists. Well it is not genetic then that is a lie. If a young adolescent has homosexual ideals they can be treated by real psychiatrists. They are afraid that the separatists would remain gay free & that there society would crumble. They are afraid of the truth.
