‘F**k the Police’: First Wave of Anti-NATO Protests Hit Chicago

Chicago isn’t exactly a hotbed of homespun America and apple pie motivated sentiment. But apparently even the residents of Chicago have limits regarding what they’ll tolerate in their neighborhood. And one of those limits is, apparently, anarchist and communist protesters.

Today marks a moment when radical Leftist anti-NATO demonstrations in the city, affiliated with “Occupy NATO,” are hitting their stride. And as with all Leftist demonstrations, black bloc tactics are involved. To that end, a group of masked thugs from the protests went to the trouble of taking over Chicago’s Halsted Street, even going so far as laying down in front of a police station.

This did not sit well with the neighbors. A video posted today at Breitbart.com shows increasingly agitated residents of the city of Chicago reacting as only Chicagoans can react to the antics of these protesters.

One such person, after apparently being accused of racism by a protester, defiantly yells back “I’m a racist! F**k you! F**k everyone!” Another, meanwhile, says incredulously about the organizers of the protest, “You’re not even from Chicago! What are you doing here?”

Intercut with the clips are shots of breathtaking displays of public disorderliness, including protesters swarming the Chicago subway (some of whom are wearing black scarfs over their faces), and screaming obscenities at the police. Others go so far as blocking cars with street signs while hooting.

Perhaps most hilarious of all, there are a few shots of members of the National Lawyers’ Guild (an organization which was noted for being a communist front group as far back as the 1950′s) observing the proceedings, and describing the protesters as their “clients” even though these protesters are, presumably, paying them precisely no money.

      On the Navy‘s Recruit Training Command’s facebook page, the Commanding Office has announced the following:

      “By order of the Commanding Officer, Naval Station Great Lakes, areas of downtown Chicago are off-limits to MILITARY PERSONNEL IN UNIFORM, between May 18-22, 2012 during the The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit.”

      There’s something major league wrong with the notion that a CO fears for the safety of his crew in a major American city.

      THE-MONK, I have prefaced many a political discussion with the few on the left here who would still attempt to jump down my throat about Bush. After stopping them with a “What do you not understand about my first sentence about not being a Bush supporter did you not understand?” Then a short time into the discussion the idiots are trying to beat me about the neck and head again regarding Bush. This article is about a bunch of teenagers and immature adults that feel they have the right to do anything they want and the people of Chicago don’t want them there. The lawyers that are walking along with them are the real criminals. Arrest the lawyers and watch the crowds fall apart. I am a member of the Tea Party and proud of it. We always leave anyplace we go cleaner than when we arrive. We protest peacefully. We commit no crimes, but we are constantly accused of being criminals. I will compare our record any day to the far leaning left.

What‘s frustrating about the occupy movement is if they spent the energy they’ve wasted on volunteering, becoming politically active (the right way) in their own communities they could have actually made a positive difference. I know we’re all tried of an unresponsive government, but I don’t see how crapping on cop cars is going to help.

      Snow, It will probably be the usual anarchists‘ destructive temper tantrum with the ’Chicago’ cops merely cordoning them off in certain areas to get the media wide street creds. Then they will slink off into the darkness just as the media, city, and WH desire.
