‘F**king N***ers’: Bartender Fired After Calling Blacks ‘Apes & ‘Animals’ on Her Facebook Page

Facebook comes with some risks, especially if you’re someone prone to publishing inappropriate pictures and content. You’ve likely heard the stories about people who have lost employment opportunities due to their social media profiles. But what about employees who are already on payroll — what happens when they step out of line on their private Facebook profiles? Today, we bring you the case of a woman who was let go following racist rants on Facebook.
A bartender at a high-end nightclub in Chicago was fired after allegedly posting racist messages to her personal page. Jessica Elizabeth, who worked at the well-known club, Proof Chicago, reportedly called African Americans “ignorant,” “apes” and “animals” and used other disparaging slurs. The comments were quickly removed and Elizabeth’s profile was made private, but 312 Dining Diva, a local blogger, was apparently able to capture screen shots before the evidence was gone from public viewing.
In one message, Elizabeth allegedly wrote (all spelling and punctuation in the subsequent messages has been kept in tact), “wow so insane how one race of people can be so f**king incompetent and disgusting.” This comment appears to have been met by at least five “likes” and two responses – one of which reads “Porch Monkey’s?”

In another screen shot, it appears as though Elizabeth wrote “send them somewhere, I don’t care where. they make everything dirty ignorant and cant act like normal human beings.” She then uses the n-word (f**king n***ers) to describe African Americans and alleges that she would never hire one of them. One of her friends by the name of Andy J. Cuthbertson apparently responded, “Jess you just summed up what i’ve always felt.”

Here’s another screen shot with more:
After these comments were made public, Proof Chicago owner Mike Bloem issued a statement to address the controversy and Elizabeth was immediately fired.
“Proof would like to confirm its belief in equality, fairness and tolerance to all our friends and partners,” Bloem said. “Sadly, on occasion, we are all exposed to ignorance and racism. We believe that by continuing to be true to our ideals and leading through our actions that each of us can be an agent for positive change.”

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 9:30amBut she‘s not correct in painting all people who may look like some who she’s found rude, irritating, etc. with the same, broad brush. In fact, it’s ignorant to do so.
Not saying this is so, but also could her overall attitude add or help others’ towards her?
And of course on her FB page, she’s only going to give her side of the story. Whether we like it or not, there are always at least two sides (and more with more people involved).
I don’t think bigotry should ever be applauded or encouraged, no matter from where it’s coming. Ya know folks–sometimes all it takes is a few KIND words to change the course of things. The tongue is a powerful little muscle–and it can be used for good–or evil.
What might happen the next time someone is rude if I return the rudeness not with the same, but with genuine kindness? I may be rejected, heck I might even get hit! But I may even encourage someone else and maybe cause THEM to think.
Time to STOP THE HATE.

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 9:53amThat is exactly correct. This gal works in downtown Chicago and, as such, sees that not all people behave in the same way. The stereotypes displayed in those postings may not accurately represent all black people – but they do represent a pretty sizeable chunk of them. And there certainly is a difference between how people behave on Chicago’s far south side (`~100% black) and how they behave in the primarily non-black suburbs. Basically the difference between Helsinki and Liberia.
The truth can be tough for some to take. And, her choice of words was distasteful and showed frustration. However, we’ve long ignored the fact that the black culture in this country has devolved into a thuggish and animalistic form of anarchy. Given that they’re 15% of the population, it would be best if we recognize that most black people are NOT the Cosbys.
And it sucks that this girl lost her job for expressing her personal opinion. Blacks say such things about whites every day.

Don‘t get me wrong I’m not promoting racist views but at what point do you hold the honest people of a racist accountable for not coming out in no uncertain terms strongly against those commiting crimes, acting ignorant, and leeching the tax payers inspite of being part of their race.
I don’t mean like sharpton coming out against gang violence while making some BS socio-economic excuse for their action. All the while ignoring the facts that there three whites living below the poverty level for every one black and yet the crime rates are 10 times lower. If that was correct white should have to support a racist who hates blacks because someone in their family or friends was killed, robbed, raped or assaulted by a black person while condemning their racism.

In the old days when common sense ruled, making disparaging remarks about blacks and other minorities was considered nothing more than bad manners. That was reason enough for most of us not to do it. Thanks to “Political Correctness”, racial epithets have now become a “Hate Crime” demanding draconian punishments including loss of livelihood as in this case.

In fact, the wait staff at the facility used to hate seeing black people walk through the door and would try to do anything to avoid getting that table.
Call me a racist if you want, but that is the cold, hard truth.
In fact, I’ll go one step farther. Any time you see a story about some black person suing because they felt slighted about getting poor service at a restaurant or bar, I’ll be you ANY MONEY it was because the wait people at that place also knew that blacks are HORRIBLE tippers and they, too, were trying to pass the buck on who got stuck with the table. She is entitled to say what she thinks and feels regardless of who likes or dislikes it. This is still America and we have Rights! What I am finding disturbing is that she was fired for something done outside of work, for free speach. Govermennt and business alike need to show tolerance as they proclaim, not utilize a double standard when it comes to the citizens of this nation. If the leader of the Black Panthers can advocate hatred on a national stage can suggest rioting or threats of harm then this double standard needs to be corrected now. As a whole the black community is a do for me society, always seeking free goverment money and entitlements which strain the nations debt limits. The violence and hatred facilitated by so many black individuals not just against themselves but all other races too is deplorable and shows ignorance and the lack of compassion for the human race as a whole. Racism is kept alive and thriving in this nation because it seems to be the only arguement available to the losers who spout it, like Jesse, Al and Zuku, and the likes. Opportunity for all is available, they must seek out the opportunity like all others, not expect it to behanded to them simply because they are Black. I think this girl should sue the employer for being fired.

Your do gooder philosophy is so naive and gullible it’s almost beyond words.
Go to businesses that cater to these primitives and try out your kindness policies and learn from hard, real life experience that you‘re hated because you’re white. You’ll be a punching bag for as long as you stay.
“Time to STOP THE HATE.”
The REAL HATE is coming from the black community. They’re oozing with it. From Rev. Wright to Al and Jesse to literally thousands of blacks within the black community anti-white hatred is the topic of conversation everywhere. And anti-white violence has reached epidemic proportions. I just read where two blacks attacked a white man with a hammer and he’s now on life support about 6 miles from where Zimmerman shot the black perp in self defense, And, guess what? The Orlando paper never mentioned the race of the victm or the perps, who, of course were black.
The angry responses you read coming from the white community is the response to the hate and violence directed against them. Whether you’re too gullible and naive to understand it or not, we are in a one sided war where white people are the objects of hate, derision, violence and scorn.
The result will be racial war and breakup.

When they are taught hate/blame in their homes, in their songs, and of course in the jails. A race that refuses to admit they are their own worst enemy. I hope a black leader like Herman Cain can turn the tide within his own race. If not a day is coming where there will be violence based on race do to the actions of the race which initiates hate every day. The fact of the matter is they are biting of much more than they chew.

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 4:18pmTo those complaining about blacks and tipping, I’ve heard that story before too.
Back in the dark ages I knew someone who delivered pizza and he said there were two types of customers he hated going to: college kids and blacks. Neither would tip you ever, both would treat you like garbage as if you were a servant or something, and both would sit there and try to pretend you were late so they could get the pizza free. If that didn’t work, they would commonly call and complain that the pizza was “wrong” so they could get another one for free..which you also wouldn’t get tipped for or get reimbursed for gas because that was based on the cost of the pizza.
I personally have very brown skin, and the only time I’ve ever been treated in racist way by wait staff at a restaurant was by a black waiter. My wife and I were out for dinner, and he treated us like garbage, while being very nice to customers at other tables. The only thing we noticed that was different was that we are a mixed-race couple. My wife is very, very white. He was nice to a black couple, an Asian couple and several tables of all white people, but every time he came to us he was gruff, rude and would never look at us when he talked. It was the one and only time in my life that I’ve ever complained about what I suspected was racism on the part of service people.

I have worked as a waiter before and by far the worst on the wait staff were blacks. Rude demanding calling the male staff boy and in some cases far worse to the female staff. Manners for about 60% of them seemed to be on a vacation. Tipping was a joke working your ass off for a table of 8-12 for over two hours as they ring up a few hundred dollar dinner bill and being left a 3-5 dollar tip was pretty common.

Inductive reasoning is when you reason about a base condition, form a hypothesis and extrapolate it to the entire set- which is what happens in cases of racial bias…You have a bad experience with one member of the race and inductively reason that the entire race is the same.
Your suggestion to employ deductive logic is stupid because you need to a fact about the entire race and then deduce something about an individual.

The outrage is NEVER about the attacker or the victim. Blacks, Muslims and liberals in general are a protected class. The media goes to bat for them every time be they on either side of the controversy. Bill Mahar, although he is a comedian, was given a pass because the people he attacks are ALL conservatives. Hence the media defends him. Michael Richards, also a comedian, was pummeled by the media because he attacked a black man. See the pattern here. Conservatives are fair game. Alright, I will explain WHY you make no sense.
“And he refers to a weak, illogical form of inductive reasoning, based in illogical probabilities, when a more effective and accurate rebuttal would be specific deductive logic…….which he or his cohorts are unable to employ, because that section of their brains has been eroded away from too many perverted neurotransmissions, causing their systems to stop producing endorphins.”
1) Deduction is reasoning about an entity, given a set of entities. Induction is reasoning about the set given a single entity. AKA, racism = induction and deduction has no place in this discussion.
2) What section of my “brains”? I only have one…
3) Perverted neurotransmission? A neurotransmission is not a “thought”, it is a chemical reaction and therefore cannot be perverted in the common sense of the word.
4) Endorphins ARE neurotransmitters that are opiate in nature, and responsible for good feelings. Not sure how that relates to my “intelligence”, but there ya go.
“Then why didn’t you rebut my delineation of why these important hormones affect your thinking?”
5) Endorphins are not hormones.
6) They do not affect thinking.
7) Lastly, I don‘t know what you think you’ve “delineated”. It would appear to me that you have no idea what that word means.

“Deduction is reasoning about an entity, given a set of entities.
” Induction is reasoning about the set given a single entity. AKA, racism = induction and deduction has no place in this discussion.”
“Has” no place? Hahaha. “Entities?“ And you write of ”gibberish?”
Deduction is a process of offering specific examples to support a logical point of view.
Induction, basically, is no more than a list of probababilities that are used for the same.
“3) Perverted neurotransmission? A neurotransmission is not a “thought”, it is a chemical reaction and therefore cannot be perverted in the common sense of the word. ”
All neurotransmitters take on various forms, depending on many factors. If you labor under the delusion that neurotransmitters don’t affect thought, just ask a drug addict or an alcoholic if his thoughts are not affected by a lack of seratonin and endorphins, once his body quits producing them. To claim otherwise is plain ignorance.
You so badly want to think your contributions have influence here, but you do no more than align people more firmly against anything you wish to influence, as the above poster pointed out.
Do you really think your twinkie utopia will come about through your efforts? Do you really believe you make a difference about anything, except to cause more disgust and resentment against homosexuality?

@ROBERT ”
Uh…deductive reasoning begins with a fact about the collective and then reasoning about the individual set member. ”
The process of deductive reasoning is just that and the basis of it doesn’t involve the collective anything in order to arrive about a logical conclusion of the individual. It is a process of determination offerred to logically present a point of view. Specific examples are employed in this process.
“Inductive reasoning is when you reason about a base condition, form a hypothesis and extrapolate it to the entire set- which is what happens in cases of racial bias…You have a bad experience with one member of the race and inductively reason that the entire race is the same.:
The process you describe is a form of faulty logical deduction, not inductive reasoning. Inductive reasoning considers a list of probababilities taken as fact, then used to support an issue, an action or a point of view.
“Your suggestion to employ deductive logic is stupid because you need to a fact about the entire race and then deduce something about an individual. ”
Your explanation sounds like it came from a bilthering idiot that thinks he knows what he is talking about, but has only a slight familiarity with whatever rit is he wants to promote as solid fact. Deductive logic is the ONLY true way to effectively prove a point. Inductive logic can be built on suppositions.

Two major reasons he and other homosexual activists are on this site:
1) They delusionally think presenting their illogical, half-baked points will result in changing the opinions somewhat on here. They do just the opposite.
(2) They’re full of abject hatred for conservatives, because they reject mainstreaming homosexuality.
They love to hate. I’ve seen posts by them that are made on Fri. and Sat night at 2 and 3 in the morning. Obviously, they’re shut ins that love to nourish their hatred because they have no where to go or nothing to do., and they blame that on “prejudicial” conservative thought.
It is this motivation of hatred that is the product of their mental illness. They’re miserable, and they want to try to make others miserable too.
Like many others, I was never into bashing homosexuals. I just ignored them.
But it is these creeps who come on here who are full of hatred, duplicitously offering nonsensical ideas all in an attempt to promote their hate and also to delude themselves into thinking they make a difference that has turned me militant against them.

Deductive Reasoning:
All A’s are A-Like
X is an A
Therefore X is A-Like
Inductive Reasoning:
X is A-Like
Y is A-Like
Both and X and Y belong to set U
You prove that the entire set U is A-Like
Get that into your thick head instead of stringing together words without making sense
Inductive reasoning needs to be PROVEN, which it often is in the case of natural numbers, but not in cases of racial bias where its faultily applied. What VOTEBUSHIN12 said was that some people here were inductively reasoning to justify racism. How exactly do you apply deductive reasoning here?
Deductive reasoning is not applicable in this case because you have no proven fact about an entire race…only a correlation at the very best. Your assumption that a probability is a justified fact like ‘X% of crimes are committed by Race Z” is bull. Because its a correlation at best and you can‘t logically ’deduct’ ANYTHING from that statistic.

It’s almost laughable how firmly you are holding to your statements.
I feel like this is a bit of a lost cause now, but as an engineer with formal education in discrete structures, general set theory, and logical proofs, I feel somehow obligated to correct you.
Deduction and Induction are both LOGICAL, and are both formal methods to prove things. Think of one being from bottom up and the other from top down. Neither is any more “correct” or “valid” than the other, and each has its strengths and weaknesses. It’s entirely dependent on the thing you are trying to proven. I could explain more, but there are ample sites currently in existence that will do just that for you.
http://www.sjsu.edu/depts/itl/graphics/induc/ind-ded.html
http://www.socialresearchmethods.net/kb/dedind.php
http://www.ehow.com/about_5341442_induction-vs-deduction-science.html
As for your loose claims that I need endorphins to think, I realize there is nothing I can say that will sway you from your ways. Just realize, if you say that to anyone worth their scientific salt you will be laughed out of the room. Endorphins are just as much responsible for intellectual thought as are stomach pains. I.E., only so much in that they are a conscious distraction to it, not a creator or direct inhibitor of it.
Consider this my last message to you on this subject. It’s clearly becoming a waste of my time.

“Racism is a mental disease. Get help.”
Racism is prevalent among all the races if the earth. It‘s very common and natural to prefer one’s race over others.
The concept of racism was coined by leftist radicals who perceived a multicultural utopia as beneficial to themselves and their own groups.
Others promoted the idea as a denigration, because they perceived an advantage to their power and pocketbooks in the form of consumers and tax units.
Lesbians and homosexuals use the term as intimidation, hoping to help create an all-inclusive society where they are accepted, not understanding that if such a bizarre scenario were ever to come about they would be soundly rejected in a rainbow society likely even more so than they are in this Christian one they hate so despicably. Beware to them if Sharia law would ever gain acceptance. Muslims do not tolerate them and execute them regularly by stoning.
Because you’re a brainwashed gullible who can be turned any way a propagandist wants to turn you, you do not understand a word of this.

Then take a trip throughout the online newspaper comments section on any racial story and view the comments there. They‘re far more heated than what you’ll find here.
White people are tired of being the objects of assaults, mob beatings, murders and rapes at the hands of blacks.

My point is how much of ones personal behavior, personal beliefs and personal comments should an employer be able to dictate or use as criteria to hire and fire you?
Does being employed mean you must live your life under a gag order? Or that you can’t ever do anything in your private life that your employer might possibly disagree with?
If I’ve been painting my bathroom all day and run to the store for a gallon of milk without changing my paint spattered shirt and my employer happens to see me does that give them the right to fire me because they didn’t approve of my being in public with paint on my shirt?

Yes, as I stated before the employer does not owe you the job. You as an employee are at the mercy of the employer’s goodwill with them willing to spend his/her capital on you at the “risk” of making more capital. This is how a free society works, any other mandates would not be a free society.
If you reverse the roles it makes more sense. If the employer begins to go bankrupt should the employer require you as the employee to use your money to keep the business from going bankrupt? No, because it works the same way. The employer is no more obligated to employ you than you are obligated to work there.

If you work for a plant nursery is it ok for them to fire you because you grow roses in your yard (horror of horrors they’re in in full view of the public) and your employer hates roses and refuses to sell them? If you drive a Chevy and your employer hates Chevy products does that give them the right to fire you? The answer to all of the above is No, they do not.
Right to work does not mean your employer can fire you because you do something on your private time that they happen to disagree with or dislike. Right to work does not mean your employer can dictate your entire life. If her employer can prove that while on the job she is treating customers different, disrespectfully or badly because of her racist views then they have the right to fire her.

Actually, that is exactly what it means. “At any time, for any reason.” That’s what right-to-work entails. Obviously they don’t do it without consequence; a spurned employee could easily lead a boycott or spread negative press about their former employer. And if they are terminated for a reason that is forbidden by law (ie, religion, race, or disability), then the employer can be sued.
Now, if you want to have a conversation on if it’s moral, decent, or “good,” then that’s an entirely different talk.

Actually it does, right to work means employers are not mandated to provide their employees unions to dictate to the employer what they must do for the employee. The employer is under no obligation to state why you are being fired in a “right to work” state. Your view is actually a fascist(state run) view, not that of a free society. You are not ENTITLED to that private citizens (employer’s) money. Their money is private property that THEY CHOOSE to trade to you for a service you give them, and is under no obligation to indefinitely provide you as long as you deem you’ve been deserving of their money just because you think they should. That private citizen can choose to no longer provide you that trade at anytime for their sole personal choice to not do so any longer.

Sorry, you’re wrong. I owned a very successful business for 20 years. I decided to retire and sold it a year ago. I started on a shoestring with 2 employees and in five years worked my way up to a world-wide customer base (on a consistant basis over 50% were repeat cusomters), a very, very healthy annual net (damn, does that make me one of those despicable 1%?) and over 50 employees. When they were working & when they were officially representing my company I expected my employees to follow the guidelines I set. Their private lives & behaviour (as long as it wasn’t a criminal act) were just that…private. And it wasn’t my business to police them nor did I care to. By the way in the entire 20 years I only needed to fire one employee (he was stealing out of the cash register), had only one employee quit (she decided to be a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her child) and never ever had a single client or customer complain about my employees behaviour – public or private. I guess that means my customers were common sense people who didn’t feel the need to police and worry about the personal opinions of myself or my employees. Did my employees and I hold different opinons? Yes. Did we hold different standards of behaviour? Yes. Did it matter to me when evaluating their job perfomance? Absolutely not. Considering my success I think I do know something about being a business owner.

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 7:30pmSounds like your business was one that never had any sort of downturn or slow time, odd….Not many that is possible most all types have some sort of slow period. At which times, most have to lay someone off or get rid of them period. And being the owner that is solely your discretion as to who goes and when.
Also, do you think that most companies that drug test really care about what their employees do on their own personal time…NO, however, if an employee gets hurt at your place of business in today’s time and drugs are in their system (even though they were used during their off time) most insurance policy‘s will not cover that employee’s accident, and the business owner is responsible for it and will likely get sued by the employee to make sure they get paid. Therefore, the employer HAS TO pay somewhat attention to what they do in their off time under current laws and requirements from their insurance.
Not to mention as with this case, the bar owner who fired this girl does not want the reputation of employing racists people as that alone will hurt his business and clients. Therefore it is his responsibility to protect his investment by proactively removing what will bring a bad name to his business even though her actions were on her “own time” it still reflects his business.
If the business you ran if your customers started complaining about racists, prostitutes, and drug dealers working for you, i’m sure you would have removed them!

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 8:01pmFreedom of speech doesn’t apply to private parties – no employer has to keep you if they don’t like what you say.
Normally I would tend to agree with you on the part about private life being separate from work, but when you post on social media, and people know you work for a public business, that tarnishes the business if they look the other way. In a case like that, the employer can only fire and hope the smoke blows over before someone burns your bar down.

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 9:50amEd, how do you know Amer is speaking from a position he/she knows nothing about? Who is assuming now?
I’ve been in similar shoes to the original FB writer – although I’ve never worked in a bar. So I HAVE experienced some perhaps of what she writes. But I didn’t just keep to that limited, little world, either. I got gutsy enough to explore other worlds, get to know other people–I moved out of many a comfort zone to do it, too!
Some of us DO know of what she is speaking, but ventured beyond her limited vision.
I’ve learned that in general – people are still people. They may think differently, look differently, act differently, and some are definitely more closed minded than others. But – we are all much more alike than probably many of us would ever wish to admit – than we are different.
But some will sadly never learn this–because they will refuse to leave the cages of their own making.

I‘m sure you’ve been made aware that Dr. Paul did not write those newsletters. If he’s guilty of anything, it was blindly trusting the ones who did write the stories. He was a practicing OB-GYN when they were published and didn’t scrutinize everything that went into the newsletter. Not to mention, he has disavowed those stories on numerous occasions.
Your hero, Obama, has yet to disavow the terrorist comments and the vigilante justice call made by the black panthers in the Trayvon Martin case. Using your logic, surely that means Obama’s a racist. Right?
Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Rv0Z5SNrF4 How do you explain a racist white doctor in the early 70s, not only treating a bi-racial couple in need, but also free of charge? Do you honestly think the pointy hat wearing, white supremacist you claim Dr. Paul to be would do such a thing? He’s not a racist and you know it. Posted on April 3, 2012 at 9:58amNo, the heard of “progressive land” is Boston, New York or San Francisco. As many large cities are, Chicago is democrat country, but our suburbs are republican. Very unlike much of the northeast. It sucks that Illinois gets hit with that broad brush because Obama‘s manure wagon happened to stop in the Chicago slums on it’s way from Kenya to Indonesia.

Pro-American Republicans? You mean like Reagan, who committed high treason by selling weapons to Islamic Iran to fund the Contras in Nicaragua?

If that’s your definition of treason…obama-bin-biden and a couple dozen of their closest would be swinging from the cherry trees on the mall…
