FL School Board Shooter Posted Suicide Note Railing Against the Rich, Linking to Media Matters

Clay Duke, the man who opened fire on a Florida school board Tuesday, posted a “last testament” on Facebook decrying the wealthy and linking to a slew of progressive sites including theprogressivemind.info and MediaMatters.org.

The chilling Facebook statement, posted under the “About Clay” section, talks about being born poor and how the rich “take turns fleecing us”:

My Testament: Some people (the government sponsored media) will say I was evil, a monster (V)… no… I was just born poor in a country where the Wealthy manipulate, use, abuse, and economically enslave 95% of the population. Rich Republicans, Rich Democrats… same-same… rich… they take turns fleecing us… our few dollars… pyramiding the wealth for themselves. The 95%… the us, in US of A, are the neo slaves of the Global South. Our Masters, the Wealthy, do, as they like to us…

In addition to the note, Duke also includes a reference to class warfare:

“There’s class warfare, all right, but its my class, the rich class that’s making war and we’re winning”
- Warren Buffet

And then issues a call to rise up, which seems to be from a poem titled “The Mask of Anarchy”:

Rise like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number.
Shake your chains to earth like dew.
Which in sleep has fallen on you.
Ye are many – they are few.

The first link (metanoia-film) is to an independent film site, which includes a trailer for a movie called “Human Resources”:


A description of the video found online says it “explores the rise of mechanistic philosphy and the exploitation of human beings under modern hierarhical systems.”

Duke apparently has a history of violence. WMBB-TV reveals Duke’s past:

Clay Duke has quite a history. This video shows him in court over 10 years ago authorities allege he made threats and even shot out the back tires in a woman’s car. He was released in 2004.

On Wednesday morning, school Superintendent Bill Husfelt, who was shot at by Duke, recounts the ordeal and credits God for stopping the bullet meant to kill him:

    While there is the very rare occasional right wing nutjob who goes off his tonic once in a while, the violence by and large exists on the Left. This idiot, this waste of good oxygen, was a class warrior to his core, as demonstrated by the quotes from his Facebook page. As is typical of the Left, he was one of the utterly idiot zombies who uncritically received the Class Warfare gospel as it was handed down to him from on high by the smug Elite, then, lacking critical thinking skills, immediately turns to violence the first time he thinks he sees the received wisdom being verified.

    The Left always likes to sneer at us that we’re violent wack jobs, yet for some reason the overwhelming preponderance of senseless violence usually starts with their rank and file. The Left has probably the most glaring case of Projection I think I’ve ever witnessed.

      No warning label on that gun…So now a new law will be that guns must include a warning label that says. Do not pull trigger of loaded weapon when it is pointed at your head, the projectile will come out very fast. Possible injury or death is possible.

      This might sound kinda crazy, but no one has made the comment that just MAYBE he never intended to kill anyone, that he went there to commit suicide by someone else’s hand, so he’d be able to support his “family” whoever they may be, because if HE committed suicide, then any insurance policy would be null & void, but if he was killed, then they might pay double indemnity. The way he was standing there, aiming, etc., he just couldn’t have missed, but I have to wonder if he didn’t do it on purpose !!! just my humble opinion !

Also, note that he is quoting Glen Beck (”we are many, they are few” and if Glenn didn‘t actually say that it won’t matter). I am certain the Left can explain this attack by a Right Wing Extreamist against The Children(tm) was practicaly ordered by the AM radio planted in the shooter’s teeth.

      I am so sick and tired of the gross prejudice and vilification of the rich.

      The rich are no different then you and I – they just have more money. The rich can become poor in a heartbeat and many have since the Obama socialist take over. The poor can also become rich in a heartbeat but far more have done so over a lifetime of hard work. While some are born rich most of the richest started out poorer then dirt.

      This is one of the key points to a society where the classes are only separated by money, the only thing stopping someone from going from the lower (poor) class to the higher (rich) class is their own determination and willingness to obtain their own wealth from the sweat of their brow. The harder you work the greater your reward until of course you morph into the evil rich and don’t deserve to keep what you have earned – how absurdly ridiculous.

      No one that has become rich in America did so without giving the unemployed jobs, promotion of persons from labor to management, from management to executive positions, and the creation of wealth for hundreds or thousands of other people who can in turn take their own brilliant ideas out on their own to become rich for themselves thus creating more wealth.

      No one has become rich or employed a single other person while living on handouts, government or otherwise.

      ALL REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH VIA TAXATION IS THEFT!
