Flashback: Obama Reacts to bin Laden Joke Hours Before the Raid

On Saturday at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, “Saturday Night Live” star Seth Meyers cracked a joke about Osama bin Laden and where he was hiding out (it also involved C-SPAN). Unbeknown to most of those in attendance, just a day earlier the president had given the order to kill bin Laden, a raid was scheduled for Saturday but was called off, and in just 24 hours the president would announce to the world that the globe’s number one terrorist had died.

You can see the reaction below, and like me would probably give a lot of money to be a mind reader at that moment:

    It‘s a good thing they announced Osama’s death last night or someone MIGHT BE PAYING ATTENTION to the court case in CA that may FINALLY get some answers about background of the man holding the keys to the real kingdom… OBAMA.     Interesting that the same party that made heroic those that spat in returning soldiers faces, and hugged traitorous Hollywood types that posed on enemy AA guns pretending to shoot down our pilots, now claim a military victory. It seems to me they did nothing but attack the last President who tried to get Bin Laden.

Where’s Blowberman to decry this “senseless act of violence”? Don‘t tell me the Left suddenly APPROVES of military measures to protect our nation’s security…? Oh, say it ain’t so, Joe!

    So Obama called off the Bin Laden whack out on Saturday? If he did that just to avoid paying overtime to a Union Member, someone should file a grievance. Notify the NLRB! File a lawsuit! Obama’s cheating union workers out of their right conduct the whacking on overtime.

    If they were unhappy about the burning of the koran, what will they do. That guy needed to be got and hes got. It was very moving to see the turn out of patriotic support. Good to see the young people chanting USA and waving the stars and stripes too. The whole thing was just very moving. Singing the National Anthem…and the Pledge of Alegience….Prayers. These are needed to keep our country strong, patriotism and a lot of prayers. Lotus.

      You got that right!! I am proud of the Navy SEALS, they fulfilled a mission that has been in works for over 9 years. bush and bho get 1% point each, SEALS deserve 98% of the credit.

    Celebrate today Obama, as the next in line under Bin Laden, may have plans for the USA you’ve never dreamt of. You are playing with fire. I don’t put a thing past Bin Laden and his followers.
    They have laid back since 9-11 and I don’t believe for one minute we need to be celebrating nor wallowing in rejoice. I don’t trust them, and I certainly do not trust the abilities of the USA to keep us safe within our borders.

    The election campaign of Obama gets off to a boom. This is all a ruse, Obama was down in the polls. I’ll bet you my socks, his rating is out the top this morning. He will get reelected. This will cinch it. Lucifer has all the tools in his bag. Too many things occurring at the same time. Change over of CIA leadership from Panetta to Gen. Potrayus. Panetta to sec of def. You smell the rotten fish now? The American people are being screwed over folks.

    No ruse, the simple fact is Obama bin Lauden is now dead as a doorknob; glad he is and glad for the SEAL team six.

    In the case with the other hand, we need to watch for any politician who tries to discredit what the armed forces have accomplished and for the response of the Al Quaeda and other nutjobs in the nation and the world.

      Anyone with the planning skills and resources that Osama had will have put dozens of sleeper cells into the mix to be activated upon his demise.

      Stand by for mayhem, we all need to be extra vigilant and not let our guard down with our exuberant jubilation.

    Keep in mind that the elite operators that were tasked with this mission do not get a day off. At this moment they are most likely being briefed on a new assignment that protects OUR American dream. Pray for these men who sacrifice so much for our national security.

    I think the only deception that might POSSIBLY be going on, is his death. He may very well be in the hands of the US military and being interrogated. I think it would be much more dangerous for Americans around the world if we announced we captured him…as opposed to killing him.

    For myself, I think he is dead and roasting in Hell right now.

    This information was being gathered for many years….pre- Obama….the compound that was taken out with OBL was built in 2005 and the military has been watching it for over two years…..yet Obama is trying to claim credit…..Don’t think so!

      And keep in mind, on Thursday Gen. David Petraeus had meetings with obama, and then obama signed the order on Friday….the thanks and praise go to the Navy Seals, potus did nothing but sign a paper, but, that is at least more than Bill Clinton would do when Clinton had UBL in the cross hairs several times and would not give the ‘go’.

    Bush had many faults but he also knew and did many things in order to get the terrorists and to keep America safe….things our public will never know….but the attack last night was in the works for a very long time gathering information and being patient.!
