Florida Investigating Thousands of Potentially Non-Citizen Voters

Florida election officials are examining 180,000 people on the state’s voter rolls who may not even be U.S. citizens.

It’s part of an effort to clean up voter lists ahead of the November election. Florida‘s Division of Elections said it’s checking voter citizenship by comparing names in its databases to those of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, which tracks whether a licensed driver is also a citizen, Reuters reported.

The voters in question are not necessarily illegal immigrants; they may be legal residents, just not U.S. citizens.

“We’re going to vet a list of 180,000 people to try to come up with a real number,” Division of Elections spokesman Chris Cate said. “We don’t want to jump to conclusions without a thorough investigation.”

Officials have so far identified 2,600 suspect voters and passed their information on to local election boards.

“These are the people that we have to notify by mail that we have a reason to believe that they’re a non-citizen,” Christina White, Florida’s deputy supervisor of elections told Miami CBS affiliate WFOR-TV.

A WFOR-Miami Herald analysis found that about 2,000 of the 180,000 voters under examination are registered in Miami-Dade County. The analysis found that a large number of those suspect voters may have cast ballots in the past — including in the 2000 presidential election, decided in Florida by just 500 votes.

The analysis also showed that one suspect person voted at least 30 times.

Each person sent an inquiry has 30 days to respond with proof of citizenship.

Florida officials have requested access to Department of Homeland Security databases to further help determine who is a citizen — a request the Obama administration has denied.

“We’ve been requesting access, but have so far been denied,” Cate told Reuters.

    I can assure you this will only be a problem when those in question don’t vote the “correct” way.
    We are either a nation of laws and sound governance or a petty collection of opportunists who believe the ends justify the means. You will know who takes what stance by their reaction to this story.
    And seriously, what the hell is wrong with election process in FL? Does the state enjoy consistently appearing as if its voting booths and laws are overseen by evil, flying monkeys?

      Here we go! This is what I’ve been spouting…. All the Border States need to follow suit with Florida. Keep in mind that the IRS allows Immigrants to get a tax ID’s for People living in Mexico and claim them on their taxes, legally. In other words, Illegal Aliens living in the USA illegally are legally allowed to get a tax ID# for illegal aliens that are not in the USA. They can legally does this because of HOLDER and the IRS. It’s estimated that they rape us (Taxpayers) of 4 billion a year in Fraud.

      Holder doesn‘t want to require ID’s to vote, because of this planned fraud within the Corrupt Commie Administration. They have an voting with the Left dept. of the Administration (Fraud Dept is more like it) This dept teaches the illegal immigrants to steal from us… and vote democrat.

      Problem is right now, and it’s not good for us…. the Internals are so bad (Internals are polls that aren’t puked down through the MSM) The internals are showing that Oblamer won‘t win a single state and there vote stealing division of the white house can’t pull a win for Oblamer…..

      So it’s all about canceling the elections now.. Fake assasination attempt Reichstag time for the Obama Administration. Remember if you hear it in the MSM it is a virtual lie not truth.

      If you attend movies, buy videos, magazines or any other thing produced in Hollywood or the entertainment industry, you should give some very serious thought to the fact that the people in Hollywood and the rest of the entertainment industry support with millions and millions of dollars, the cause of the communist socialist politicians and their movement to destroy our nation.
      If you attend any professional sports functions such as boxing, baseball, football, basketball or watch TV channels that air these sports events you are in need again of giving very serious thought to the fact that many, many of the players and coaches give millions to the communist socialist politicians who are ever closer to destroying our nation.

      You have to show photo identification in Florida to vote at least in Broward County. I was told November 2010 that my voter registration was not acceptable to vote and not needed. I had to present a photo ID. Another problem in Florida is when the Alzheimer’s express pulls in, the people to to vote accompanied by family members, not poll workers. That was two votes are being cast by one person. This happens all the time here. I can’t understand why Wasserman Schultz is so opposed to photo ID since her own district has it. Do disingenuous, but she is a liberal.

      This year Florida will hold up the whole countery! No hanging chads or they punched this hole but really meant to punch that one. My vote was stolen because it was confusing to me – I voted for Romney but meant to vote for Obama. The election will need to be manipulated because these folks were really citizens but their votes were disallowed because someone said they were non citizens. I think that if all this boloney comes up Florida’s whole talley should be thrown out. Three strikes and you are out.

      Was not that “THE” county which normally votes heavily Democratic that Al Gore sent his minions to check on for “irregularities” in the voting, maybe because they may have had fore knowledge of the fraud and felt that they had the “Military” vote covered, they failed.

      And with the new laws giving even illegals a photo ID without proof of citizenship even that method of verification seems nearly useless. Maybe the “MARK of THE BEAST” would be more appropriate.

      You are right, for the most part. But, I will hand it to Florida. Since the Gore debacle, Florida has been working overtime to address the problem that, I am sure, is similar in every other state and protectorate. At least, NOW, those who are registered have to prove they are themselves with a photo ID before they can vote. Now…. go after those who registered fraudulently. I am sure a good many of the 180K are frauds, but many will just be too stupid to know what it means to prove their citizenship in 30 days. And I do not mean language difficulties.

      In Florida a person that is not a US citizen can still get a drivers license. The photo ID is usless unless it is used to verify citizen status. This is want the Feds are trying (and succeeding) in doing.

      The problem Florida has is its Democratic Party influence on election outcomes. The “hanging” chads were predominately cast in favor of liberals. One must shove more than a single voter card into the machine in order to get hanging chads. No one bothered to mention that in 2000. Instead of counting those votes, the entire group should have been thrown out. The majority of problems stem from liberal bastions in Florida. Few problems occur in conservative-leaning areas. Fortunately, most of us conservatives still respect the rule of law and feel the voting booth is the last place fraud should occur.

Too many people from too many different places moved here and tried to make it like where they came from. They couldn’t let Florida be Florida. Thank God for gov Brewer, sheriff Joe, The house and senate, conservative judges, most mayors, amd the vast majority of good citizens here, we have stopped them at almost every turn.       Until we can get this current cast of crooks out of DC nothing will or can be done. The key to enforcement is the DOJ and Homeland Sec depts…both of which are under the thumb of the current Admin. Even if there is massive voter fraid this fall I still cannot see how Obama can garner enough electoral votes to win. The swing states are all going red, similar to the massive shift that occured in 2010. If anything the public today is even more ticked off about the current state of the nation (on all fronts) than they were 2 years ago. Obongo’s record and his actions, his words, empty platitudes, shameless pandering, political gaffes have only made things worse for the Dems. The entire strategy is a marked 180 degree shift from the flawless, smooth, brilliant campaign they ran just 4 years ago. I think a large faction of DC Dems , and their professional staff have pulled back from the amateur horror show that is behind today’s seemingly , nay hopelessly inept WH staff,advisors etc. I really think a large rift has been driven (on purpose) between the Clintonite liberal camp and the marxist/radical/BLO faction that backs BHO. Biden is like a punch drunk go between trying to keep both camps from imploding.       The only way the govt can create jobs, is to send all the illegal aliens back to where they come from. They are costing this country over 600 billion a year. Lots of jobs open up then.       Every Law Enforcement Agency in the State of Florida has access to Department of Homeland Security databases, includind Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Why doesn’t someone from Florida‘s Division of Elections, go over to FDLE, and ask them to investigate voter fraud ? That FDLE’s job anyway, their the criminal investigative arm of the State….

      The State of Florida is jus playing a political game…..

    Another example of why Gore lost fair and square back in 2000. This is probably just the tip of the iceberg. The Democrat Party survives on the votes of non-citizens and those who somehow vote more than once. It goes back, way back. In fact, voter fraud in, of all places, ha, ha, Chicago, back in 1960 seemingly tipped the scales in favor of JFK. I know that he’s a “sacred cow” to The Left and ought to be left out of this discussion but, somehow, I just couldn’t help myself.

      JFK is not worthy of the label “sacred cow”…He was slick Willies idol. Can we imagine how different things could have been if JFK hadn’t stolen that election ? No Bay of Pigs debacle, no Vitenam war (or at least how it unfolded and was mismanaged, micro managed), no law allowing public sector employees to unionize, civil rights passed in 61 instead of 65, No riots because of Nam, ….no October missile crisis since Nixon likely would have spooked USSR into never sending the missiles to Cuba in the first place….the list goes on and on. You could likely wipe out untold trillions of dollars spent by State and Fed Gov’ts on the union public sector law alone, nevermind the billions spent in Vietnam, South America etc.

      Jim is a fool, to think we can’t figure out what you are all doing. You are an idiot. You get one legitimate vote as a citizen, the key words being: First, legitimate; Second: One. Get it? If not you and yours will be apt to be getting some federal time when we get Holder and Obama out. The right to vote does not give one the right to steal, cheat and promote criminality.

    I carried a green card for 10years (iwas required to have it on my person at all times) so this shoots down opposition to requiring ID when stopped by the police.
    I was not allowed to vote in those 10 years so just enforce the laws that are on the books which this administration does not want to do.

      Not only that, but a green card is a picture ID. If the NAACP and George Soros are soooooo concerned that people won‘t be able to vote because they can’t come up with 5-10 bucks for state id, they should do their philanthropic duty and pay for id for them. However, if you can come up with the money for a pack of cigarettes or a case of beer you ought to be able to come up with the money for id. I am, nonetheless, sure they do have photo id. Their id just proves they’re not citizens.

    I went in and read that article it is really something people should be aware of so when it happens we know why.
    Trouble is the ones that are ready to start a race war won’t care and we will have a dictator.
    I do hope that when push comes to shove and all true Americans, white, black, hispanics and all people that believe in the American dream will stand to-gether against this true evil that has taken over our government.

      All I can say is to bring it on. I am willing to sacrifice the ultimate sacrifice to stand, if I must for my country. This country is all we have standing between us and a freaking bunch who are lawless and live like hedonists and will lie, cheat and steal, even kill to do as they please without the thought of why we need structure and a Constitution for this Republic. Those people cannot think past their next score of dope or who they are going to bed. They care nothing for anything except to be seen and show off.

      Well there are a lot of blacks who do not care what Obama does as word is getting out on him for who and what he is. The blacks are just as much against him as white, the ones who want to preserve our America. These people are not all who you see in the hoods and on the streets acting like they are from some third world country. Take Dr. James David Manning, Alan West, Herman Cain, and many others who are out their daily raging against this idiot Obama who has cheated his way into the Highest seat in this land and supported by sodomites, hedonists, criminals, union thugs, and people who do not want others to have a fair shake in this life. This man who is a liar, a deceiver and a promoter of divisiveness in any aspect he can needs to crawl back into the hole from whence he came.

    Don’t want to put any hard ship on these people by having them get a photo ID for 10.00 …for proof of being A REAL U.S. CITIZEN..!! Home land security is a real joke …they the ones hidding them…worried more about us VET’S and the Tea Party…

      Who cares if people are too sorry to vote. They want to vote, they will find a way there and produce proper ID. Some states are willing to give them one. They want to cheat, is all. They find a way to the grocery store and anywhere else they want to go. They have ID to get social service hand outs, so why can they not produce ID to vote? Just to let those know they are not fooling anyone and the laws are not made to allow criminality, but to insure that every American citizen (key word citizen) gets to vote who is of age, etc.

    DHS DENIED access to this list? Who the flock do they think they are??? Don’t they realize that the states are who created the Federal government in the first place???? This Fed govt is OUT OF CONTROL

      E-Verify is suppose to be hooked into that list. The difference is probably that E-verify is meant for doing one at a time verifications. If Florida has a database (which they do) it would be far easier and quicker to run a comparison against the DHS database. Anyone not in the DHS database would show up instantly.

      It’s too bad they have to use the driver license database to compare against. If you don’t have a drivers license, you could still be a citizen. Yes, I know a lot of people drive, but not all of them. And that‘s probably why they’re sending those people notices to prove citizenship status. Sending a quick copy of a birth certificate will resolve the problem.
