NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (AP) — A second murder trial is beginning for a neo-Nazi whose tattoos are being covered by a cosmetologist so jurors can’t see them.
John Allen Ditullio is charged in the stabbing death of 17-year-old Kristofer King and accused of wounding Patricia Wells inside her mobile home in 2003.
Ditullio has a large swastika, barbed wire and a vulgarity tattooed on his face and neck. A judge ruled the tattoos could sway a jury’s opinion and ordered them covered. The state is paying a cosmetologist up to $150 a day during Ditullio’s trial to cover the tattoos.
During his first trial, a jury deadlocked after deliberating for almost 10 hours. The retrial is scheduled to begin Monday.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 4:12pmJust place a white hood over his head so the jury wouldn’t be swayed. You could cut out two holes for him to see through. (his tattoos are too horrifying!)
Then the Judge can explain to the victims family that we really have no justice left in this country and his job description is to help the jail system and be PC.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 4:07pmNow if this loser is convicted and sentenced he should be put up at the judge’s house to serve out his sentence. If more of these liberal elites had to deal with the people they wish to extend “social justice” to I imagine their tune would change quickly.

The Nazi puke, but that crap on his face to represent what he is and the jury should see – exactly – what he is…not some legalistic twist of his twisted mind…

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 3:58pmHe put those on by choice, he decided that something meant enough to him to express is PUBLICLY on his skin through a permanent tattoo. It was not by any action of the court or the prosecutors office that these tattoos were applied so any bias is unique to the defendant and totally under his control. This is felony stupid.

Report Post »snowleopard3200 {mix art}
Posted on December 6, 2010 at 5:31pm@Dagnyet
Yes, the judge has ordered it. Most likely the judge is trying to cover his own tail in the event of an conviction and appeal; not having the tattoo covered could be used as a basis of a discrimination and unfair influencing of the jury in any appealed conviction. So, that is how I see it.

Report Post »snowleopard3200 {mix art}
Posted on December 6, 2010 at 4:38pmLet the facts of the case, weather the evidence shows his guilt or innocence, be the deciding part of the trial; the article says one hung jury has occured already, so convering the tattoo may not have made any difference at all. The judge seems to be concerned with covering all bases in the event of a conviction and appeal.

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 7:54pmCovering up the truth, with cosmetics, words, or omission, is one of the tenets of our legal system. Seriously, aren’t most defense lawyers cosmetologists anyways? Have you ever gone through the jury selection process? I have for 4 separate trials. The jury tampering begins during the selection process and continues in the courtroom proceedings. Imagine trying to put together a 1000 piece puzzle and they intentionally only give you 5 of the 1000 pieces that they have. Once again, us common folk are too stupid to make intelligent decisions based on the facts. So they only give us that which they deem we are worthy.

Posted on December 7, 2010 at 10:24amIf I were the prosecuting attorney I would be certain to show pictures of the murdered victim and point out that no amount of make-up will make the 17-year-old male look any better than his death photo.
This is truly absurd. The tattoos speak to his character.
