Florida Teacher Punches Out Student Who Called Her ‘Vulgar Names’

Florida Teacher Punches Out Student Who Called Her Vulgar Names

My Fox Tampa Bay reports:

Authorities say a high school art teacher in Brooksville was arrested after punching a student who called her vulgar names.

According to a Hernando County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, 64-year-old Sandra Hadsock was arrested Wednesday after taking two or three swings at a student in the hallway. The student received a minor injury on his lip.

Officials say other students pulled the teen away from the teacher.

Joe Vitalo, president of the Hernando Classroom Teachers Association, maintains she acted in self-defense. Vitalo says the incident was captured by a cell phone camera.

Hadsock will be suspended with pay, pending a school district investigation.

Hadsock was arrested on a charge of child abuse without causing great bodily harm. The arrest report states she refused to cooperate with a deputy.

She looks pretty hot for a 64 year old. Now usually when you call a woman vulgar names it has something to do with their sexuality. She should have stuck that kids head up between her legs and given him a Cleveland steamer. How do like that clam chowder kid?

That sounds like a bunch of hooey. Other than resisting arrest, which is a real charge, this matter of not cooperating with a deputy could be anything that the cop didn’t like, but was still not against the law…,could have told him to speak with her lawyer.

Sounds more like the cop’s problem.

You should pretty much always “refuse to cooperate” when law enforcement is digging up information to press charges against you. She committed a felony by attacking a child because she couldn’t take his words.

She’s going to jail and rightly so. But she doesn’t have to help put herself there.

When I was a senior in high school we had a young homeroom teacher. One kid had an argument with her and told her “F-you”. She grabbed him by the lapels, pulled him across the desk and screamed “no, F-you” in his face as she flung him into the desk behind him. Kid was utterly stunned, rest of us were totally impressed. Funny thing is that teacher would be about 64 right now.

How many “teachers” are still “teaching” at 64….at 64 you are SS eligible and most teachers I know have long retired before 64 because their states pension system facilitated it……and what provoked this student to call her “vulgar” names….this is another recent Blaze story that has a lot of holes in it….GB has obviously delegated editorial responsibilities to a “tolerant” individual

I am a retired teacher. You can still maintain order and courtesy in your classroom if you model them and earn them, and will not accept anything less. And during the Springtime mating season when the sap rises and young men get froggy, at least in my school district, if a student hits you first you can defend yourself. It only happened to me once in a 15 year teaching career, but I am a retired Marine with a lot of martial arts training and once was all it took. Word got around that it was a really, really bad idea to mess with me. My example must have worked, at least for some… I live in a university town and two of my former students, following my example, are graduating tomorrow and being commissioned, one into the Marines and the other into the Army. Both have invited me to their commissioning ceremonies.

This is part of the problem in our schools – students who think they can do or say anything they want to a teacher knowing full well that the teacher can’t do anything.

Well this kid found out some teachers won’t put up with there disrespectful behavior. This must be one tough lady for her to be 64 and go after a high school boy. I don’t agree with her getting physical with him but I can understand why she did it. She wasn’t going to put up with this foul mouthed jerky kid hehe.

Kids today don’t care what they say to anyone. I’ve worked with kids that deserved to be slapped, but you just can’t act on that – even with adults. There have been reports in my local paper where people have been arrested for “allegedly” threatening someone over the phone. To actually hit someone is sure to cause a problem, even if they deserve it. In the past, cops would tell everyone to calm down and go home, but not today. It’s a different world.

In the AZ high school system, I used to be the target of all the idiot bullies in the area; every year the newest batch of the dingbat baboons would arrive, and seemed to naturally come into my area. The policy usually was if you got into a fight, and did nothing – not even defending yourself, you were automatically suspended for the semester or the year with an automatic failing grade.

So my grandfather always had a simple policy, never start a fight, yet if one comes, finish it and let the other person know he has lost.

Funny how teachers will stand by and watch students beat the crap out of each other but don’t bad mouth a teacher. I wonder how the union will explain this one?

This is what happens when parents refuse to discipline their offspring. No teacher should have to put up w/even the hint of disrespect in the classroom. Then again, this is what you get when you make the classroom a “child centered” place rather than the adult centered one I learned in. Rare is the child who knows what he/she wants to learn and will find joy in pursuing that learning.

We had teachers that would do that at the drop of a hat. They believed in maintaining discipline.
