Anita Dunn Has No Comment On Slurs Against Conservative Women

Former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday to discuss whether Republicans can win female voters following the contraception mandate controversy, which has since been spun by Democrats as a GOP “War on Women.” Since acquiring her fifteen minutes of fame after conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut,” Georgetown Law student and pro-choice activist Sandra Fluke has been represented by public relations firm SKDKnickerbocker, where Dunn is a senior partner. Since Dunn has positioned herself among those who have labeled political adversaries on the conservative end as anti-women, it seems only natural that The Washington Times would ask Dunn if she would care to comment on equally vicious attacks against conservative women from liberal commentators.

Dunn, unsurprisingly to some, chose not to comment on whether she thought HBO’s Bill Maher was out of line when he called former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin a “C-word,” or whether she urged the president to speak out after MSNBC’s Ed Schultz called Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.”

Outside of CNN’s offices Sunday, a visibly flustered Dunn repeatedly told a reporter from The Washington Times affiliated radio program America’s Morning News that he could call her office for an interview, because that’s the way that “legitimate news” organizations operate and “things get done.”

      Man I didn’t need to be reminded about these two Lizzies this early in the morning. It’s like waking up and taking a bite of a dill pickle. And the I remember Dunn and her Mao speech and her popping her lips. A picture popped in my head of them making out and it just grossed me out.

      legitimate news? WTF is she talking about? There are no quote unquote legitimate news sorces in the main stream media. Maybe legit means partisan or ideological in progressive.
      If there were any legitimate news sources Obama won’t be in office.

      Avengerk: Especially after she bragged that the Obama campaign controlled the media during the ‘08 campaign via video with little if any direct interaction between Obama and the media. In others words, the media was played big time. God forbid the media/American people learn just what an idiot Obama was and still is; hence the ubiquitous teleprompter. What suckers they are. Their journalism degrees should be gathered up and burned on the steps of the Supreme Court.

    There is no war on women. Duh. At least not from me. Men go broke and heartbroken over women, get drunk for so many reasons because of them women. So what is new? Tell me? Tell me. Tell me what is new?. How is it that a 30 something Ms. Fluke is suddenly testifying before Congress assembled with the perfect issue? Who is at war with who, dummy?

    I actually agree with Anita on this on.. that’s actually how I would respond if some douche came running up to me… call the office, make an appt… I don’t know why anyone answers questions from crazy people who ambush them like this. Now, having said that, IF he requested an interview and she was putting him off time and time again… okay great, now you can confront her on why she is AVOIDING your official request to take an interview… but this is stupid, I can’t believe someone made me agree with Anita Dunn.

      Glad you added the last part, because sure as Christ made little red apples, Anita Dunn’s office will not schedule an interview for that reporter. Because she has an indefensible position she will only take interviews with agencies/reporters she knows are sympathetic to her views and the Washington Times does not qualify. Sadly the only way to get her to pubicily answer or refuse to answer a legitimate question such as that is to ambush her.

      If the reporter had called for an interview and had to wait a long time to get a response, then the story would become stale. I don’t have a problem with the way she was approached. And just what is a “legitimate news organization?” Is she referring to outfits like CNN? If so, that’s a joke.

    Ms. Dunn clearly doesn’t really understand journalism. The shame of it is – journalism doesn’t get journalism these days. They’re all bending over to this machine of intimidation. They need to get some balls – and ask some questions.

    As a former, honorary member of the Public Relations Society of America – Los Angeles Chapter, this is exactly how journalism gets done with hostile parties. Journalism 101 – go get the story. This guy should wait by the phone or fax for this “elitist,” fool to contact him. No, friends, journalism is not a “nice-nice” profession. GO GET THE STORIES.

    And please, let us not forget who this Anita Dunn is – she idolizes Moa Zedong. Ever read a book on this maniacal narcissist that killed 10s perhaps 100s of millions of Chinese. This woman and her kind love power – and never want to be questioned. Gee, IJS (I‘m just sayin’) don‘t you wonder how many abortions she’s had?

    War on women? Really? By whom. Who fired the first shot? What is the war over? What is the controversy. Who started it? Really? We all agree no actual shots are fired. So what started it. Who decided to call Ms. Fluke to testify in Congress? Did this start the war? Or is it, why did Ms. Fluke research contraception coverage at her university? Did this start the war? What is the war about? There is nothing new out there. Except the issue that Ms. Fluke raised. Access equals free, I believe is her equation. Then if this started the so-callled war, then who is a war with whom?

    I think conservatives should stop looking for or expecting the left to be fair. Everything they are outraged about has a political or hatred motive. There are rules for us and none for them. The law is to control us, not them. The government is to take from us and give to them.. The pattern is clear and endless. With this in mind I say attack and pound them into the ground (figuratively of course). They play to conservatives’ morals, conscience and tendency to be shamed at even the slightest errors. Stop it and play hard ball (not Urine leg Chris type, real hard ball politics).

      @Spirited, The Washington Times is a vanity project for Reverend Moon, it has been losing money for decades. It was a free give away paper last year. It doesn’t have much of an audience beyond pseudo-Conservatives.

      Ambush interviews aren’t “legitimate journalism”, regardless of the source “interviewer”. It isn’t serious work to tail someone, jump out at them and stick a camera into their face as they go about their business and repeating the same loaded question; it’s partisan hackery. I know Bill O’Reilly is very fond of this technique and an anonymous group used two teen age boys to bring down a sitting Congressman, but it doesn’t make it either fair or professional. Bill Moyers was intended to be a victim, but he and several Liberal reporters had the guy on the verge of tears by treating him to a taste of his own medicine. You should check it out on YouTube. I also think Ms. Dunn handled herself quite well, too.
