FNC‘s Megyn Kelly Disgusted With Obama’s Praise for Philadelphia Eagles, Michael Vick

President Barack Obama’s praise for the Philadelphia Eagles giving convicted dog-murderer Michael Vick a second chance at his NFL career had Fox News‘ Megyn Kelly up in arms today as she condemned Vick’s “systematic torture” of animals and wondered if someone who had treated human beings the same way would be worth of a presidential seal of approval:

2nd chances, sure I am in favor of them…but this man throws it back in the face by saying “I am going to own another dog”…It would be fitting that the first day that Vick gets that dog it bites him right in the nether region, he gets mad hurts it, then poof!! He is back to jail after learning nothing..

Once If my points exactly. When they guy spoke after getting out you could see in his expressions and all over his freakin face he thought he did no wrong and felt wrongly prosecuted for hurting something so devoid of worth. He is a disgusting person. I like ALL dogs more than most people and for a reason. They remind me of GOD’S LOVE. You can be a bastard to them and they are still so ready to love you. Their love is unconditional like God’s and they should not be treated so EVER.

That doesnt matter. He can feel like what he did was perfectly justified and he still deserves a 2nd chance because he served his time. So long as he doesnt do it again he’s allowed to pursue any line of work he wants and, yes, OWN ANOTHER DOG. You people who like dogs more than humans disgust me. He hurt animals, yes it was wrong. He served his time and now its time to move on.

Megyn‘s wrong on this issue the President of the USA is entitled to give praise to whoever he wants to whether it’d be Vick or Barney the Purple Dinosaur. Vick has served his time and has realized the grave mistake that he made. If people don‘t get 2nd chances to change their lives then we as a human civilization don’t deserve to move forward in Gods Image. Where would we all be today if Glenn Beck didn’t get a 2nd chance to recover from the mistake he made when he got addicted to alcohol 16 yrs ago. Sure what Vick did was wrong but people make mistakes and they deserve a 2nd chance if they want to redeem themselves. Failure is not the end its only the beginning.

He should be given a second chance but he should not be getting the praise from the so called prez. What he done was a damn shame to those dogs and he deserves nothing less than what he done to the animals himself and let hi see how it feels like the dogs did. I am a animal lover and I could have never done anything like that to me people that fight dogs roosters even rodeos I don’t like and the the bull riders deserve the hurt that they get from the bull. Everyone that has messed up should get a second chance I have no problem with him making the money that he does but he lied to the falcons owner and the head of the nfl and they still took the slim ball back . Even the so called untied states humane society thinks that he deserves another dog but they also liked the 50,000 they recieved from the owner of the eagles and UNHS doesn’t even give but one percent of there budget to other shelters that are trying alot harder than them to fined the right owners for animals that have been abused. I seen some of the dogs that were taken from there and they are in Utah with a shelter that will never hurt them again. There was one female dog that had her teeth surgically removed so she wouldn’t bite the dog that they were breeding her with on a rape stand at that. She was the most friendly dog that I have ever seen then there were some that would never leave because they were broken to the point of no reutrn and to me that is the inhumane thing a person can do is break an animals spirit. To me they need to be done the same way they treat an animal if you give no food or water then you recieve no food or water. You hurt aperson then the same way you hurt that person you should be hurt the same way.

A second chance is great, if your crime wasn’t torture, mutilation and ******* unnatural perversion of precious living creatures. You want him living in your neighborhood?

Does anyone here know of a hunter without honor or ethical treatment of their prey?
There is something very, very wrong with this man and I wish he would have been taken into the woods and quietly disappeared. A man like him walking the earth is dangerous.

Oh! But he’s a great football player!! I forgot, shame on me.

Agreed… but don’t you think the President could find a better role model to praise? Maybe someone who didn’t serve prison time? It sets the wrong example. Shame only works if its allowed to stick for awhile. Give Mike Vick some time to dedicate his life (and money) to animal shelters and pay for his sins. That’s how redemption is supposed to work… NOT by presidential decree.

I watched a Vick interview. I doubt that guy could add two plus two and get the right answer. Seems like a black Forest Gump to me. Most football players, as well as the coaches, as well as the owners, are dumb animals. They live in the illusion that their sporting lives have some sort of meaning, what a laugh, they are meaningless buffoons.

@Mossbrain…You must have moss for brains calling these players stupid. I played proffessionally for 4 years and I guarantee you that you would not be able to even comprehend the reads that each player has to make before and during each play. And the quarterback position is the toughest in pro sports and one of the toughest jobs in all of america when you combine the amount of pressure from within and without, as well as having 300 pound men trying to hurt you each play all while making sure you get the correct protection scheme based on that weeks gameplan and then go through your reads while being pressured, choose the correct throw (for qb’s, not all throws are the same ie: how much touch, how much air under the ball, how hard its thrown) and then put that throw on point. You also while doing this have to look of defenders so they cant jump your route combination. The qb has to do all the in less than 3 seconds. I guarantee you that not only could you not do it, thats obvious, but that you couldnt even make the correct reads and adjustments from play to play based on the defensive front, lb positions, and safety positions. You would look at a game plan and think it was chinese. Calling football players dumb just shows how ignorant you really are.

I have been a dog lover my entire life and I will always protect my precious “babies” at any cost. The SOCIOPATH DIRTBAG, Michael Vick nauseates me and if he receives the Karma he deserves, he will be attacked and mauled to pieces by a pack of wild dogs. Eaten alive. Comrade Obozo is a total frickin’ IDIOT for injecting himself in yet another controversial issue. I now consider Obozo to be the SECOND most repulsive man on the planet. The pathetic puke is not a dog lover and had never had a dog until Ted (Swimmer) Kennedy GAVE one to his kids. Since Muslims think dogs are “unclean” and treat them very poorly, I think Obozo if very ignorant of the fact that dogs are a GIFT to mankind from God. They are the only species in the animal kingdom that give UNCONDITIONAL LOVE to humans. Anyone who intentionally TORTURES AND KILLS a dog is subhuman and has no reason to breath the same air as normal people. May he burn in hell. If you follow all the forgiveness and judgement logic posted here…as soon as someone leaves a prision for such things as murder, rape, pedophilia, or let’s say pyramid schemes the president should come out and say “Hey, it’s great you gave the guy/gal a job. It‘s great that the job didn’t go to a law abiding citizen.” I mean, I don‘t know about anyone else here but I don’t really think that is what a president should be doing.

I believe forgiveness can only come from the victim and as far as judgement is concerned…I have not led a perfect life, but we all judge…both ourselves and others. If we did not…judgement would not be a word.

This is absolutely rediculous. I have to agree more on the side of Megan. I do believe in rehabilitation and I think a person deserves a second chance. However, and its a big however I do NOT believe he should be brought up by the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. I do NOT care if he is shining a spotlight on animal abuse. This man systematically TORTURED animals. I have dogs, 2 of them and they are well cared for and I love them. I do NOT put them on the same level as HUMANS but ANY person who would systematically torture an animal(s) has really deep seated problems, serious problems. When you care so little for life, be it a dog, cat, whatever, it shows your lack of character, compassion, humanity, etc. to a degree that you certainly are not worthy (best word I can come up with at the moment) to be talked so passionately by someone such as the President of the United States. As far as I am concerned it shows alot about the character (or lack) of the President. I personally think Vick derived some kind of sick pleasure in doing what he did because otherwise he wouldn’t have killed ALL those animals. A person doesn‘t do something like that to so many animals if they don’t LIKE doing it, at least on some level. I still believe he deserves a second chance, afterall he did do his time but giving him a second chance doesn’t mean you FORGET what he did. And it certainly doesn’t mean the POTUS should be chatting him up. Forgive and forget are two totally different things. Just my opinion.

Actually, this could be less of a situation where Obama is actually praising the Eagles for giving Vick a second chance and more of a thinly veiled note of thanks for them giving Vick a job…preventing Vick from becoming yet another one of the staggering number of unemployed in our country. We all know how good those statistics are making this administration look.

We are a nation of laws. When laws are broken, we have prescribed penalties and other methods of renumerations for the wrongs committed. We are also supposed to give those who have done wrong a second chance at life.
I do not know Michaels Vicks’ heart, but his public actions, conviction, incarseration, and publicly condemning his prior actions should be considered to make him right.
NFL players have a very unique skill set, and Vicks has demonstrated that he still has it. We as fans of the game are willing to pay for in tickets, parking, and viewing. We watch a WHOLE team, while some concentrate on one player.
While I’m not necessarily on the Vicks bandwagon, ON ITS FACE, I’m willing to give Obama a 1st down on this one. A debt to society has been paid and a skilled man asked for, and was supported by getting a second chance to do what he does well. I’m even ignoring the race card ON THIS ONE.

This is a hard one. As a christian society are we not suppose to forgive others (especially if they show they’ve reformed their ways) if we wish to be forgiven ourselves? I doubt many here have ever even contemplated the things Vick’s did which will require society to forgive him…but there is no getting around the fact that we’ve all done things which will require being forgiven by a higher authority.

    Only things to discuss are:
    1) did he pay a realistic debt to society
    2) has he truly reformed and seen the error of his ways?

What you say is true, however -

Try being a pit bull. There is probably no other animal on earth that knows what ‘breedism’ is like. People give them the suspicious eye and walk far around them, when there may not be a more people-loving dog out there. They crave the human touch and companionship.

The picture to the left shows my girl with her mouth open, but it’s only a yawn. If you slathered yourself in bacon grease and hit her with a stick, she still wouldn’t bite you.

The horrors this breed goes through just because they are what they are will make anyone cry.

God said in Proverbs wicked is the man who does not consider his animals. This man did very evil things to those dogs and I am not convinced of his repentance. Maybe you are but I am not. I bet if he was to approach one of those dogs they would not be either. I believe in forgiveness, and redemption, and making real changes in life. But words don’t mean a thing, actions do. If he is going around speaking because he had to pay a price for his very evil deeds. Then it is still about the price he had to pay and not about what he did that was so wrong. No, I don’t think he should be held up as a good example of someone changing their life and be given a second chance to make millions on top of that. I think until he proves without the carrot of millions hanging in front of him, that he has changed and repented then I will believe. If he gives his millions to help stop this evil and devotes his life to the care and well being of animals then I will be a believer. Repentance requires a change in direction and it be real. It is not motivated by punishment but by sincereity of a heart that is changed for good. He has not proven that yet and it will be a long time. He could do his speaches and all that and then when he has his millions back could just start it again and this time he is wiser not to get caught. He should have suffered just like the dogs suffered at his hands and then justice would have been done. I just thank God that I am not God, because I would not forgive Vick and hell would be a vacation place to what I would put him through here before sending him to hell. Sorry guys, that is really horrorible to say and admit to on my part, but it is the truth. I thank God that He is merciful and forgiving and that Vick has the same chance for salvation through Jesus as I did. I pray that I will meet Vick in heaven because then that will mean he did really repent and was washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.

Great point! It is not for mortals to know the heart of another. At some point we have to let it go. We have radicals in the White House who have never had a change of heart, or even pretended to. Those people I have no forgiveness for. This ongoing vitriol for Vick is over the top.
I do agree that Obama should not be making this public display of support and that it is probably racial, but we should let Vick be the man he is.
If he is faking just to keep his career on track, we will see it sooner or later. Til then leave to the Creator to decide.

For those that are the ‘judge not’ crowd, learn your bible phrases correctly instead of using them in ignorant support. God wants you to judge other people, their character, their actions, their deeds, so that you may guide them to a better way if they stray from the path of light…He warned only about judging other people, if they were or were not going to Heaven, which is God’s reserved right, not man. But that’s it and not everything else that applies for the sake of a particular argument. Vick did wrong, and pleaded down to reduced sentence. But part of that punishment should be societal scorn, not a presidential endorsement, as with any crime.

The issue is not about her–it is about what he did to the dogs. He wetted one down and electrocuted it, hanged others, threw one on the ground hard enough to kill it, drowned others while they struggled to survive, and …….put innocent pet animals in with trained killer dogs for fun. This happened over a five-year period. Yes, he went to prison and seems to have been rehabilitated, but why the president felt compelled to praise him is beyond my comprehension. This is the same president who was so outraged by waterboarding which did not even harm the terrorists.

Boca you are a baby. The man killed dogs for fun. Unless you are brainwashed while in prison you still find enjoyment in seeing the suffering of animals. He didn’t need the money. He did it out of pure joy. This pushes sick to the limits. What do you think people have their brains replaced in prison? their pleasure receptacles switched around? Just like a rapist still would like to rape, a molestor would still like to molest, this CroMagnon football player would still like to torture living things. In his lust for money he will say whatever he is told to say. If torturing animals would make him millions he would be ecstatic. He is a pig and so are you.

The only reason people are “reformed” while in prison is because they don’t believe the joy they received from their crime was greater than the displeasure they received while in prison. It has nothing to do with reform. Reform is for the weak. You punish people for crimes. People that don’t recommit crimes when they are released, don’t, because they know the pain of prison is greater than the joy they receive from the crime. Alternatively people that do recommit crimes find greater perceived pleasure in the crime than the pain of the punishment. Man a lot of you people are naive….

Vick paid his debt. You cannot keep punishing him now that his punishment is over. Else, there is no redemption in society. And all Christians who dislike Vick ARE hypocrites since their religion, more than any other, preaches redemption from sin. So those that say the point is the harm done to the dogs are totally missing the point or are massively hypocritical.

The President is right to call out this as a positive story of redemption, regardless of Vick’s skin color. And before you make baseless, support-less comments about how racist Obama is for praising a black man, ask yourself why the apparently racist whites have done as much praising of Favre and Roethlisberger this year. If I call those whites racist, then I am by definition wrong, although I do so with the same amount of evidence that some here have criticized Obama. The fact is that without more evidence, neither Obama nor Favre or Roethlisberger fans can be called racists. So stop parroting Beck’s silly lines about Obama being racist against whites (although his own mother is white) and start using your brain for a change.

It is funny how hypocritical people can be. They see the mote in their brother’s eye and miss the beam in their own.

Black society will always let people off of crimes if they are committed against another race. I am a racist in the same way. I would do the same with white people. Obama and I are both racists. Are you happy ABC? Obama is a racist. He has millions of people to hold out as models of a just society and he picks a guy that tortured defenseless animals. Hahahahahaha! Only in America. Why are there so many NUTT cases on the Blaze. I believe in following the law, and the law says that he has paid his debt to society. If you do not like the form of debt that Vick paid, then change the laws. But you cannot deny that he has served his law-directed punishment, unless you are out of touch with reality. As for Obama, he has awarded loads of white people for their service and has tried to help out many more white people with his policies. That you are unaware or willfully ignorant of these examples shows how NUTTy you are. It would all be rather funny, except that you are allowed to vote on the basis of your fact-devoid fantasies–not to mention your overt racism that you willingly admit that you harbor.

@NUTT..He paid his debt to society by losing tens of millions of dollars while in jail and going bankrupt along with losing his freedom and not being able to spend time with his kids and family. It doesnt matter whether or not he wants to torture dogs, all that matters is that he doesnt do it anymore. I want to rob a bank, so does that mean I should be in jail? No, because jst because i want to do somethng doesnt mean I will do it. If a child molester gets out of jail and still wants to molest children, but doesnt then our jail system has worked and he deserves to have a job. now I dont think child molesters should get out of jail very easily but thats a different argument and Im just using your analogies.

When he gets hit hard he gives up the will to fight. After the first hard hit last night he wanted to quit. He was out of the game. He should have been drowned or hanged at half time; like his poor dogs. He was clearly out of his league last night. All this after Philladelphia put off the game because Vick would have been weak in the snow. Now the coach keeps complaining to the refs that Vick is getting hit to hard. Hahahaha. So Megyn Kelly doesn’t believe in redemption. Nice ideology you carry around. Or maybe she just suffers, as do most at Fox News, from irrational Obama hatred syndrome.

The guy paid his dues and is on the right path. What the heck is wrong with that? And what is wrong with calling it out as a good story of redemption? The NFL Commissioner has done as much, as have millions of NFL fans that are pushing for him to be named co-MVP this year even though he clearly is not having as good a season as Tom Brady. Megyn Kelly ought to grow a brain and learn her craft before criticizing a clearly-superior intellect in the President for his laudable remarks.

But then again, she is up there to present red meat (and great breasts) to Fox’s large and loyal (albeit sadly misinformed) base of viewers. So I guess she’s doing what they pay her to do. And this kind of prostitution doesn’t carry risks of contracting disease…

He is a greedy money hungry sick individual just like the majority of other athletes, and commissioners he plays with. He hasn’t given (he has lost but not given) a thing in proportion to the crimes he committed, nor has he suffered like he should have been forced to. Nutt must be nuts. Redemption is going to prison for inflicting pain on dogs, as the law demands and then apologizing for it and returning to a law-abiding life. Society does not and should not ask for more than this. That you do puts you in a small minority of unforgiving types that demands that this man give up his life (Tucker Carlsson) or his reputation (Megyn Kelly) or his wealth (you). What nonsense. You don’t get to make the laws and rules of redemption unilaterally. Grow up. Drop the egotistical fantasies. Join the world of rational, thinking, social people.

By the way, can someone explain to me the difference between what Vick did to dogs and what Sarah Palin did on her show to moose? Both killed for sport. Palin, like Vick, did not need or even consume that animal she killed on primetime television, as has been widely reported. At least Vick killed for private entertainment, while Palin did so publicly to boost her ratings, make money and burnish her right-wing cred. Not sure why her act is less reprehensible. Perhaps Vick caused pain for a longer period of time, but he would have been imprisoned had the kills been quick, so that cannot be the reason. Perhaps the difference lies in the fact that American society values dogs more than moose. In China and Korea, where dog is eaten, my friends are totally confused by this glaring hypocrisy. Someone will have to explain it to me…

You’re trying to compare what Mike Vick did to a child molester?!? Thats ridiculous, and I hope you dont have kids around that can hear you comparing them to dogs. What he did was wrong, yes, but dont push it farther than what it actually was. Comparing someone who kills animals (no matter the animal) to someone who kills or hurts humans is idiotic. Now do I think the President should come out and openly support or praise him? No, and thats a resounding no, because there are plenty of guys in the NFL who do things the right way.

Also, to the point that he should give money to the humane foundation…First off, he doesnt have any money to give. He’s bankrupt and owes 100 million dollars. He doesnt have the money to be giving to anything. He has 1 major contract left in his career to make good on for te rest of his life while still paying off his debt. Secondly, donations werent a part of his sentence, so he doesnt have to do anything. He really doesnt even legally have to speak at the dog lover clubs, but since the NFL commissioner and his owner made it part of his return he does it.

I own a pit, and I’m not saying what he did was right, but give me a break with all this “he should be hung or drowned” nonsense. You cant compare animals to humans and vice-versa. No-one deserves to die for anything done to any animal. Let the man live his life now that he’s served his time, and get off his back. Neither of you seem to have an ounce of moral fiber in your character. I hope you both enjoy the perdition you are building for yourselves. You will learn, and it will not be fun.

I don’t care about Vick, or his“comeback”. He’s just another jock getting a fat payday. What I do care about is the POTUS publicly making a fool of himself again and again. He has the mind of a destructive petulant child. He will do anything that is devisive and controversial. His intentions are to create racial stress and chaos. Many of you here on site, are falling right into his trap and are becoming the new definition of irrelevant.

      giving convicted dog-murderer Michael Vick

YOu guys are idoits. He did not kill any humans they were dogs. He paid his price. He served prison time and paid fines. Leave him alone. He is one hell of a player. He probably would be considered the best if he never did what he did. I hate obama, but i don’t think everything he says is wrong. I am with obama on this one. Even though I hate him on everything else.

For being coservatives you are a bunch of hypocrites. Who are we to stop him from owning dogs.

No matter the crime, the wrong, your fault, my fault…makes no difference. All is forgiven and you are moved to the front of the line so long as you are the right color…all thanks to the first Black president. Justice now sees all the colors of the spectrum except black. Because they are all victims. You name it…their a victim. .

Awwwwww, Max that isn’t very Christian like of you to want to physically harm someone for speaking the truth. You can’t answer the one and only question I ask you and instead you resort to lashing out instead of debating me. Like Eric Holder said “we need to begin having honest conversations about race in America”. Let me inform you of something. Blacks have not been “screwed” by Progressives for 40 years. Blacks have gotten everything they have asked for from Progressive politicians for 40 years. Welfare, Gobment housing, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Child Tax Credits, Affirmitive Action, Minority only loans, etc…etc…etc…. Blacks have made “leeching” off of others a full time job. If Progressives didn‘t give blacks all of these handouts they wouldn’t be elected. 93% of blacks voted for this socialist progressive president for more handouts (and his skin color). Blacks aren’t screwed by Progressives they ARE Progressives. Stop trying to make excuses for blacks. Here is a clue: They don’t want your help! They would vote for Obama again in a heartbeat. They want MORE handouts! Take your holier than thou moral bs and feed it to someone else. You would bite my face? I would slap you silly….

Let’s not forget, this is much more then just fighting dogs. He also killed the dogs that could no longer perform by drownding & electrocuting them. Megyn should be disgusted, as am I. This was very Un Presidential & just one more reason to hate the Idiot Hussein!

FireDude, you should learn to read. As I CLEARLY stated, Palin did not kill that moose to eat it. She killed it for ratings. This was widely reported. I was not comparing game hunting to dog fighting. I was comparing Vick‘s actions to Palin’s, and I found little difference. Given the deafening silence of conservatives on this blog, I’ll assume that they found little difference as well.

MaxJones, could you be more arrogant? If you cannot explain the outrage toward Obama to me, it likely means that it is not rational. But your implied suggestion that you are morally superior to me is ridiculous. People are allowed to be redeemed. Even unthinking but religious conservatives know this much. But apparently, when the President of the US recognizes this redemption, it becomes outrageous to people who irrationally hate Obama. When you find the intelligence to actually explain the logic of your position, then share. Until then, I’ll assume that you are not very bright, and certainly not morally superior.

Notice how most famous, colored people get praise from the president for every small thing. Racist much?

The NFL is disgusting. The only reason they gave Vick a 2nd chance is because he can run the football. If he was a little slower, he never would have made it back to the league.
