In its discussion this morning, the Fox News Sunday panel weighed in with their thoughts on NPR’s handling of Juan Williams’ dismissal. While they all agreed Williams was wrongfully terminated, host Chris Wallace extended Williams a sincere welcome to the Fox News family:

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 1:49pmJuan was on Huckabee’s show last night.
Report Post »Juan said one of the hardest things after getting fired was calling his kids to let them know what happened. He was worried what his kids might think of him, worried they might think he did something bad. I assume his kids are adults but no one likes to hear their dad trashed on the MSM. Anyway Juan’s kids were supportive of him–telling the story had Juan in tears. And me too.
I don’t like it when Juan defends Obama. But he is also one of the few liberals that will criticize Obama and defend the Tea Party.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 1:47pmI always wondered why NPR allowed Juan and Mara to be on Fox. I suppose I was naive to think it was NPR’s “effort” to bring a point of view to Fox. I actually admired NPR for contributing to the over all debate. Though I often disagreed with Mr Williams stand on many subjects, hearing the lefts opinions without the name calling and insults “was” a refreshing change.
I have donated to OPB / NPR in the past, I regret that mistake completely and will never again send them a penny. NPR is nothing more than an agenda driven mouth piece for the progressive left and should not be funded by tax payers as they opt to fade from any notion of being objective news gather, to pawns in a game of disinformation based on bias and a overarching socialist agenda.
And what pawns whey will be, during the upcoming lame duck session. Steady yourself for the Soros funded spin machine going into hyper-drive diluting the discourse with straw men until Mr Spooky pull the rug out from under all of us…………

Let’s see, O’Reilly expresses his feeling about muslims and Whoopie walks of set.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 1:31pmI’ve seen Juan throw a liberal tantrum on more than one occasion. I’ve also heard him utter despicable and detestable allegations and outright lies about conservatives in general, and tea partiers in particular.
Overall, he might be an alright kind of a guy – one of the “good liberals” – but he is still a liberal. He got what was coming to him; but remember… he got it from his own – liberal idealogues – not from the folks on the right.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 1:05pmI’m very glad to see Juan Williams on Fox. I’m a conservative with strong Libertarian leanings . While I may often disagree with the liberal point of view, I enjoy listening to the whole battlefield of ideas. His strong liberal voice and opinions have always been welcome on my TV and radio .

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 1:04pmI think Williams has a very sound basis for a law suit against NPR. A white journalist or I mean analyst can make their personal feelings known (Totenberg & Schorr) and not be fired or even reprimanded. But a black man does it and he is mysteriously violating some unwritten code.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 12:43pmAlways enjoyed Juan as a literate voice of the left from my view. Combs is a lost little boy who just spouts talking points. Juan makes strong arguments for his side but allows a nod when the other side is better. I’m sure the kill the fox movement had more to do with this than what Juan said. Juan was on the dark side’s TV show and had to be shown what happens when you play with them. Hope Juan stays with Fox and keeps us honest.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 12:42pmWelcome Juan. I rarely agree with him, and hopefully he realizes that FOX NEWS is a forum where you can speak HONESTLY and even express your feelings without the threat of being fired. It is funny how the people on the other channels (MSNBC, CNN) are now tip toeing around and walking on egg shells. People may not like FOX, but they should take notice of the forums they create. Hey lefty demolibersocialcommies keep showing your true colors.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 12:34pmHappy to see Juan Williams among friends. A true gentleman and able to sit with Bill! When will the Libs learn that you don’t have to agree with someone to respect them. I guess its because they have no respect for themselves. I find it difficult to listen (or read) to media other than FOX since they are so arrogantly biased. This was once again evidenced with Karl Rove’s discussion with Bob Schiefer. Way to go Karl! Chris Wallace was once again the perfect host for the panel’s discussion.

I don’t have a problem having a dialog with a liberal, as long as they aren’t calling me names, telling me I’m stupid for believing the way I do, or degrading other conservatives (as a whole) like plenty of LIBS do.
That said, however, I‘ve never had a conversation with a lib that I didn’t end up walking out on (or not reading) because I guess I’ve never met a liberal with an open mind. That does not mean I’m calling all liberals closed-minded – I‘m saying I haven’t met an open minded yet.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 12:27pmTo those who claim this was not a freedom of speech issue: As long as NPR receives tax payer dollars (regardless of the amount) it becomes a freedom of speech issue. In the case of Rubio with CNN it was all under a private company and I personally don’t care who they hire or fire for whatever reason. If PNR gets defunded and they go 100% private, then I wouldn’t care who they fire for not agreeing with their liberal agenda. I’m tired of being forced to contribute my tax dollars to the liberal media!

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 11:54amThe Firing of Juan Williams – a unique prospective.
The number one news story for the last several days is the firing of Juan Williams. We are less than two weeks before the most important mid-term election within my memory.
Instead of concentrating on the election most of the tyrant’s opposition is involved in a vendetta to end government funding for Mr. Williams employer. This program is decades old and in little danger of a major disruption. Certainly, no action against the employer is possible before the election. Yet, those supposed to be fighting for our freedom are expending major effort on this vendetta instead of concentrating on the election. The time and effort spent on Mr. Williams’ story is lost, forever. The question is how much will this distraction effect the election? What will be the next irrelevant story the wannabe tyrants use to distract us?
The “Wannabe Tyrants” will publicize the irrelevant using their “preponderance of the propaganda” to avoid a discussion of the issues. Pay no attention to the smokescreen.
When your premise is false the only arguments that can be used are fear mongering, emotional arguments, sarcasm, attacking the messenger and misrepresentation of the facts (lying). Those who expect to reap huge profits from our misery caused by government control are experts at these tactics.
The only relevant issue is freedom or tyranny!!!!

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 12:17pmANYONE WATCH SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE? I DRAFTED THIS LETTER TO THEM AS OPEN…
To Whom it may Concern:
Seth Meyers uses the freedom of speech every week for his liberal views (comedy?), but his misconstruing of the Juan Williams firing to twist it as a Republican attack is beyond the pale. All freedom loving Americans from Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar to Bill O’reilly and Rush Limbaugh joined together this week to condemn what is a sick act of censorship.
What is up with NBC? Don’t Meyers and SNL get it? I could have written a skit about NPR that was funny in 5 minutes??? Soros funding, hypocrisy, power without brains? I mean this stuff is at least as funny as Obama… And the Reid sketch? If you think that is an adequate substitute, how politically inept do you think Americans are? Reid is an easy target… wow… really cutting edge on that one. Just toss a DEAD liberal under the buss and noone will notice we didn’t cover the #1 most controversial story in the country. WEAK!
The sick bias displayed during this 10/23/10 show, and especially the purposeful misdirection during the update demonstrates an ignorance of the First Amendment far and beyond what any American should display.
Shame on you Seth Meyers, Shame on you Saturday Night Live, and Shame on you NBC. You surely are no longer the “National” Broadcasting Corporation. On behalf of my dead Grandfather who used to love NBC,… yeah, it is that big a deal. Shame on you.

Posted on October 24, 2010 at 6:39pmI am going to respectfully disagree. The way this story plays out, it actually functions as an extension of a “big tent” on Fox’s part. Even the left likes Juan and thinks he was hosed. Fox, by rallying around him builds credibility for its organization and shreds the credibility of NPR (and rightfully if you ask me). When Fox is the only place you get to see Juan, you will tune in(and turn off the NPR,MSNBC, etc). And just maybe when you see BOTH viewpoints dueling it out, you might become a more informed liberal who actually has part of a clue. AKA a reforming liberal ;)

http://mcclungmiracle.com
This Tea Party candidate is neck & neck with this entrenched Arizona ultra-liberal democrat who does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in congress excep concentrate on promoting issues for special interests.
He is the Arizona congressman who claims a toxic substance was mailed to his office just hours after his SEIU henchmen delivered thousands of fraudulent early ballot requests to the Yuma AZ election headquarters.
This congressman reigns over the BIGGEST hole in our southern border has he is a fulltime advocate of amnesty and rights for illegal aliens. This man is ruining AZ.
Rocket scientist Ruth McClung has the answers to control our borders with safe, affordable technology. Please donate to her anything you can give — you won’t get a second chance to beat Grijalva!
Ruth needs to be able to fight back against the dirty tricks that Grijalva’s political machine is trying to pull. Ruth is in a dead heat with boycotter Raul Grijalva, but a report by Jim Hoft at Big Government shows that a group tied to the SEIU is trying to commit voter registration fraud across the state of Arizona so that Grijalva can steal the election.

I am an AZ native, and the thought of this mail in ballot fraud sickens me to the core, the liberals and the progressives are so determined to win by hook or crook, that nothing remains sacred to them other than the need to stay in power or stop the country in a firestorm.
We need to stand in the light of truth, and hold onto the Father and Son, as well as each other, for only by them dividing us can we truly be defeated.
