FNC‘s Megyn Kelly Cracks Up Over Texting Fountain Woman’s Legal Threat

You’ve read the story of Cathy Marrero, the Pennsylvania woman who texted her way head-first into a shopping mall fountain. You‘ve also heard Marrero’s complaints about the mall’s “negligence” and lazy security team.
Now, the video I’ve been waiting for all week: Fox News’ Megyn Kelly discusses laughs at Marrero’s threats of legal action:
Thank you, Megyn, for pointing out the obvious. I was beginning to worry that the world had completely lost its sanity after seeing ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos lend Marrero a sympathetic shoulder to cry on Thursday.
Any lawsuit in this case would be the very definition of “frivolous.”

After all, cell companies are richer (bigger settlement) and should have known how dangerous it was to text in the mall. Where is the warning label on the phone, on the mall entrance, on the fountain for crying out loud. This is a terrible hazard to the public. Maybe we need a class action law suit instead. How about Congress passing a law. Who is protecting us from these hazards?

Posted on January 21, 2011 at 9:25pmI can see it now: handrails and warning signs will go up around mall fountains all over the country (if they aren’t removed completely). Perhaps cell phones should have warning texts: TEXTING CAN BE HAZARDOUS. TEXT ONLY WHILE IN A STATIONARY POSITION.
Or perhaps text messaging in shopping malls will contribute to natural selection, where people too stupid to shop without hurting themselves will no longer be able to reproduce.

If only those darn security guards had been holding her hand for her while she was walking just to be sure she didn’t injure herself in any way! However, they probably should have had an eye on her considering her criminal history and that maybe why there was a security camera watching her in the first place-SEVEN counts of retail theft! And “borrowing” a friend’s credit card and slapping 5000 bucks worth of jewelry on it1 How on earth she was able to even get a job is a mystery to me with that background

There are places where you can go to give birth in a bath or pool. Even if the baby had been born in the pool, it would not breathe until it surfaced and would know instinctively how to swim. It’s called the walking/swimming reflex and is soon lost after birth. This reflex is one of the automatic reflexes that is checked when a baby is born. It confirms that the baby’s nervous system is working well.
