Football Brawl: Coach-Led Mob Attacks FL Referee During Youth Game

A massive fight erupted on the field during a youth football game in Florida Saturday.
A youth football game turned into a massive brawl in Sarasota, Fla. Saturday afternoon, after a referee’s call apparently prompted an upset coach and several others to charge him.
It happened just before halftime on a local high school field. Video of the melee shows players, coaches and others quickly massing onto the field, pushing, throwing punches and piling onto one another. One woman is heard screaming, “Oh my God!” over the bedlam, and a man shouts through the public address system for everyone to get back:
The players on the teams were 13- and 14- years old.
In the video, 41-year-old referee Jayme Ream is seen fighting with a member of the coaching staff. As the coach falls to his knees, another man who appears to be another coach is seen grabbing the referee and pulling him away. At that point, a third member of the staff confronts Ream, and he tries to run away, until a player runs at him and knocks him off his feet. Mayhem ensues, with punches and kicks visible in the video.
He was taken to a local hospital after the incident and is doing well, the Tampa Tribune reported.
“It’s absolutely disgusting. I have never seen anything like that. The coach should be disqualified from coaching altogether. The team should be suspended for the whole year. It’s not giving sportsmanship anything,” Greg Fabijanczuk, a football dad, told Fox Tampa Bay.
Debbie Ismail, a parent, told the Tribune she was on the sideline at the time of the brawl.
“It was unbelievable,” Ismail said. “Very bad, poor sportsmanship. It was horrifying.”
Mike Cody, the coach for the other team and who did not attack the referee, spoke to his team a few days after the incident.
“There was no excuse for it,” Cody told his team. “One of the most disgraceful things I have ever seen in my 24 years of working with children.”
A spokesman for the Sarasota County School District said while the teams will still be able to practice on school fields, they will not be permitted to hold games.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the incident. No charges have yet been filed.

It is almost as if a silent war is taking place, and no one wants to speak of it. Right leaning media will not cover it, and the left wing media is content to call the tea party racist. The black on white rape statistics over the last thirty years is mind boggling. If not mistaken, I think on average there are less than ten white on black rapes per year, and somewhere between fifteen to thirty thousand black on white rapes per year.
America is moving closer and closer to a class war.

I would estimate less than a 100 in 50 years.
So maybe sometime in the near future we may have this discussion on race?? However, don’t hold your breath for it will never happen under the JA. If only we were a free people again.

Those figures are staggering frustrate the heck out of me. Where is the media? The laws? It seems that “equal rights” for one group equal death to another. In NJ I can not CCW, but I have my FL CCW and carry when I leave this state. Could you please post where you got these figures. I was able to get some on the FBI website but found your figures VERY alarming and scary at the least. I will always carry outside of this state for this reason, seeing flash mobs and so one. These people have no shame and I think it comes from neglect, no rules and extreme rage. They are empty sould with no regard for others…it’s not sad, it is dangerous!

Statistics are funny things, especially when dealing with unequal groups. As blacks are a decided minority compared to whites one should not be surprised that black on white crimes outnumber white on black crimes: The reason for this is fairly straightforward. Black criminals, being smaller in number than whites, thus have within their pool of potential victimes a higher percentage of whites than blacks. White criminals, conversely, have a smaller percentage of blacks than whites in THEIR poll of potential victims.
This is not to say that racial crimes aren’t growing in unequal numbers. I think that our racial politics practically encourage black on white crime by treating it less seriously than the opposite. But we have to be careful about raw stats.
But regardless, perception is reality, especially when it comes to racial relations. And the percetion that is growing is that many blacks have seen the election of a “black” president as justifying a period of retaliation, or Open Season, against whites. Such a perception creates the very racial antagonism that feeds the cycle. Sadly, neither the President and his administration nor the media seem to want to counter that perception.

Being a smaller group we‘d expect fewer criminals coming from the group as a whole and since we do a pretty good job of self segregating then you’d expect to see proportional b on b and w on w crimes which you don’t. b on w is much larger than the corresponding w on w exactly refuting your premise even though you simply over look the fact that a minority by definition should have a smaller representation in the crime stats… and they don’t! Less than 15% of the population commit greater than 50% of the violent crime in america.. Over 50% of the black male population in the DC area is incarcerated.
My advice for you would be to not try so hard to cast doubt on the obvious. Acknowledge it for what it is and let’s begin to correct it.

You beat me to the punch on the stats lesson. If he wants to talk stats, let him jump over to the FBI crime stats. If 12% of the population commited 14% of a crime, that would not be considered significant. When you see 12% commit half the murders, three quarters of the armed robbery, sixty percent of rapes, you have significant numbers. I am not picking on black folks, as I do not think skin color really has anything to do with it. The libs creating a victim mentality, and turning a blind eye to it, and a entertainment industry that encourages it is part of the problem. Remeber this, most of black that murder, are murdering other blacks. Young black men in America get murdered and sent to prison at an alarming rate. Ever hear Hillary, Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Sharpton stand up and spout these statistics? And you will not. They need high black crime to push for there gun control. Remember also, Hillary is a fan of Margret Sanger. Sanger was a believer in eugenics to control the black population. Who needs to control it, when it murders its own at an alarming rate, and kills its own babies (via abortion) at an even higher rate.

Posted on September 2, 2011 at 2:19amThere was a huge drop in crime stats noted by the FBI, a curious fellow looked into the matter and found the drop occurred around the early 1990′s.. What he figured out was that the drop correlated to the advent of birth control 20 years earlier and was pushed heavily into the black community. Less babies reached the age of 20 and therefore the huge drop off….the others had gotten older and or moved into the prison system thus not replacing the crime waves.

I’m actually in substantial agreement with both of you. I just chose to focus on the need to not rely only on ONE stat to prove anything. Multiple stats are required to give a better picture. You claim that w on w crime is less than b on w crime. I saw no such stat presented, but given the vast polarization of racial groups and the overrepresentation of blacks in the poverty range, and especially the breakdown of the family in the inner cities I am not at all surprised that a minority commits disproportionate ammounts of crime. Wealthier people commit fewer crimes, at least fewer violent crimes. And the same factors that produce poverty also porduce the social factors that rear criminals: social disintegration.
We are very much facing a racial war, but the factors involved are complex and multifaceted, and it doesn’t do to rely on sloppy stat work to back up our arguments because it makes us look like reflexive bigots (or we can be more easily characterized as such) rather than concerned about real social problems. I think the radicals among the leftists WANT racial hostility. They want the blacks to start agitating and attacking whites and theu want the whites to respond defensively against blacks as a class. I want to deal with the problems they creaste without playing into their game.

For the past year there are more and more videos of violence and 9 out of 10 times they are black. Is it racist to point out the obvious? To some it will be and I don’t care because it is not racism to point out the obvious with video footage it is fact. As an official everyone involved should have felony charges pressed against them and the entire coaching staff should be banned from coaching for life and that player that tackled the official should be banned for life as well. Is there no civility in the black community? I grew up in the black community and this culture is not now what it was in the 80’s when I was a teenager. They had pride and respect, now they act like animals that move in packs. What a shame.

Why do you think parents get so fired up at pop warner football games. Parents know that the weather, location, ref’s, time of day, are all part of the game. Travel and attend a popwarner game in a rural, poor community and sit back and listen the folks in the crowd. You’d learn alot about our future.

Report Post »While I hesitate to use the term “call a spade a spade” (see below) I’m doing so because the truth of the matter is that the leaders of the black community in the USA are quite literally “rabble-rousing” with their rhetoric and the DoJ under Eric Holder is supportive of and encouraging race-based violence. That is why we are seeing such a surge of it recently. It is encouraged and abetted by the highest levels of government.
Call a spade a spade? It means speak forthrightly and say how things are, not some fairyland rhetoric about how you would prefer things to be, ignoring the reality.

My post was about how the world see’s the people who post here, and the tea party. There are good and bad of every color and maybe I’m wrong, but adding fuel to the fire serves nothing, and no one. I have never heard Glenn speak hatefully of any entire race, he can pick good from evil and so can I. Do I think things may go to hell in a hand cart? Yep. I choose to stand on the side of good and won’t add to negative,ugly racist language, it demeans everything the tea party is trying to do-or do you want what these idiot congress-people to be correct? Do we want to be known as racist, bigots? I choose my friends by their character, not color. Will I protect myself and family if I have too? Yes, but with sadness in my heart if it gets that far. I consider Glenn a great teacher and I know eventualy good will triumph over evil, but the journey to get there counts in God’s eyes too. But, having said that, there are in America Black people of such character and courage that it wants to make me cry. I know and love some of them personally. Herman Cain and Allen West, Thomas Sowell, and the young, female black Tea Party activist on Fox News this morning are among the others. They have personal standards of behavior. They understand and appreciate the gift of freedom that America was designed to provide. They are willing to stand up to the vilification of other Black people, and overlook the racism of some Whites on the right. The put principle before color and prejudice. Every time I see a video like this, I promise to remind myself of all these people and more, and remind myself that people should be judged on the content of their character.

Posted on September 1, 2011 at 12:23pmI am a referee and there are procedures and processes in place to handle this type of thing. There will be charges filed and fines paid for this atrocity. I am glad the official made it out alive. Many of the schools events that I referee require local law enforcement escorts off the field. The people are pathetic to take a ‘game’ so seriously. Wins and losses build character. This field of players and coaches lack any character.

Believe me, FL hardly has the monopoly on morons. Just look at the districts that keep reelecting Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters, and Andre Carson. Then again, Debbie Wasserman Schiltz-for-brains is a FL representative…. So is Frederica Wilson. But to be fair to the rest of FL, those morons represent parts of the state teeming with transplants from up north and illegals.

If someone had said I would feel this way 2 years ago, I would have said they were crazy. Now, after all that he had done, I can see it happening.
