Former BP CEO Can’t Name Victims of Deepwater Horizon Explosion

Newly released video clips of former BP CEO Tony Hayward’s recent deposition show Hayward at times somber and angry when questioned about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Do you remember any of the names of the individuals who lost their lives?” an attorney asks him.

“I remember some of them,” Hayward answers, looking down. He ultimately correctly only names one of the 11 men who died on the rig explosion.

The clips, posted by the Daily on Sunday, are now at the center of a legal battle as a judge ordered their removal Tuesday and the website refused to comply. Judge Sally Shushan said the video’s release may violate a pretrial order stipulating “no part of the video or audio record…shall be released or made available to any member of the public unless authorized by the Court.”

According to the Daily, the judge‘s order the removal came after a request from BP’s lawyers.

A statement from the Daily said: “We have not removed the clips … and have no intention of doing so until we’ve had the opportunity to present our case to the court.”

this really narks me. Do you reporters realize that when u write a story on here it is a reflecton of Glenn Beck as it is his site. Im not a big fan, he has some good ideas and insights, but this story makes a mockery of the christian values that I believe (and i hope im right) Glenn believes in. Forgiveness, peaceloving are christian values. This borders on trying to stir hate against a fellow human being who was not directly responsible but took responsibility for an awful accident.
God Bless America AND THE WORLD!!

There are many people that have lost their lives in search of oil and gas. This accident is no different than the rest of them. I know of at least 20 of them personally that lost their lives. But to recall their names now would prove difficult. BP has done more to help the people that lost their lives in this accident than anyone else. I sure didn’t see Cameron, or Haliburton rushing to help out all all. Then Obama couldn’t be bothered when all this was happening to do anything. Why doesn’t that lawyer ask him to name the names of the persons that lost their lives. I bet he couldn’t name one.

Let’s see, is this the oil spill where Obama put hundreds or was it thousands out of work by closing down rigs, causing families to lose their homes and file bankruptcy. The oil rigs were moved to other countries because of lack out use, and he gave George Soros Brazilian company billions to deep water drill. I wonder if he knows George? Obama is such a nice gay, sorry, “typo”, I mean nice guy! Just the same, vote this nice guy out in 2012.

Is this the ‘oil spill’ that was probably sabotage to stop all oil drilling in the U.S. to force oil prices up and redistribute wealth to Brazil and Mexico by letting them drill in the Gulf? obama would not be able to name any of the people who were killed….forget B.P. sounds more like Chicago to me and always has.

What an absurd question to ask the President of the company! Most certainly when is in England running a company—he knows he lost employees in a terrible accident! I don’t know of any company based in America who would be able to name lost employees! Just proves how stupid those demanding his appearance truly are!

Are we blaming the entire disaster on a single person? Yes, he was the person in charge but as such, he wouldn’t be the only one responsible for every single thing that occurs in his company. That’s why you have levels of management. Should he remember all of the names? Maybe, but it isn‘t easy to remember eleven people if you didn’t know them personally. I think the more important question is were the families compensated fairly? Realizing that no amount of money will adequately compensate for loss of life, the families deserve to be treated well by the company. That is his job to see that it happens, whether or not he has their names memorized.

The bigger picture here is the news agency who is defying court order posting these clips. They should have never gotten them to begin with, and they have stated they will not remove them even after court order. This is a direct assult on privacy. This was a closed deposition and prior order that no pictures, audio or clips were to be released.

Looks like someone thought thePublic should be made aware of certain things………especially considering that the Obama Administration and his political contributors British Petroleum knew about the potential for a blow-out – and everyone started dimping their stock ownership – Tony Hayward = weeks before the Oil Rig Explosion – and Goldman Sachs only days – prior to the deaths of 12 people at the Deepwater Horizon Rig.

You would think that human beings would warn other human beings of what was about to occur – and at least remove the other human beings from the rig – and Obama would rescind the “waiver” that was given to BP to subvert having any environmental safeguards on site of the rig – that known to the Obama Administration as a BIG PROBLEM.

One of the Rig workers killed – had asked for transportation from the Rig – and was ignored – although he was misled by his supervisors that transportation was coming – and had informed his family that he was leaving the rig – bc it was too dangerous to stay.

Obama and Tony Hayward, former CEO of BP, should be strung up by their nutz..

      Reminder:

Obama’s school chum – Lisa Birnbaum – was placed in position as Head of MMS – without any experience in the oil and gas industry.

Birnbaum skipped out on the congressional hearing wherein she was issued a subpoena to appear – to inform congress of what was known by the Obama administration – prior to the Oil Rig Explosion. Ken Salazar as Secretary of the Interior – has been participating in a criminal conspiracy to obstruct Birnbaum’s testimony – by claiming that she had resigned the previous afternoon – and her testimony was not necessary – (although BIRNBAUM was HEAD of MMS – at the time that “waivers” were issued to BP – also leading into – and during the Oil Rig explosion).

First, this is the CEO of a HUGE worldwide corporation. Even heads of mid-sized companies do not know every employee. Further, according to the info I can find, only 7 BP employees were on the rig out of 126. Therefore, most likely, few of those killed were actually employees of BP. Further, I would only assume that there were more pressing issues in the aftermath of this disaster than noting the names of those lost. I think typical lawyer talk of unimportant things pushed by MSM. I do morn those lost and they will be remembered, even if not by name. It is no different that 9/11. I doubt there is anyone who remembers the names of all who were lost.
