Former Egyptian President Will Face Trial for Murder and Corruption

The future isn’t looking so bright for former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Not only did the defunct dictator lose his grip on power earlier this year, but his health is on the decline and he will soon stand trial on murder and corruption charges.

If you’ll recall, Mubarak (allegedly) slaughtered innocent citizens during the now infamous Egyptian protests. As per The New York Times:
Egypt’s top prosecutor on Tuesday ordered former President Hosni Mubarak to stand trial in connection with the killing of unarmed protesters during the 18-day-revolt that forced him from power, yielding to one of the revolution’s top demands just days before many of its organizers had vowed to return to Tahrir Square for another day of protest.
In a statement, Egyptian prosecutor Mahmoud Abdel-Meguid said he would also charge Mr. Mubarak and his two sons, Gamal and Alaa, with corruption and self-dealing. The prosecutor also plans to file charges against a businessman close to the family, Hussein Salem. Among other ventures, Mr. Salem was part owner of a company involved in an Egyptian government deal to sell natural gas to Israel that is now under investigation.
If Mr. Mubarak is convicted on the accusations, he could potentially face the death penalty.
This is a welcome development for Egyptian citizens who began calling for legal retribution back in April. Earlier today, CNN reported that the trial will likely take place in June. Watch below for more:

Really, death for that? If and could must be a typo. The last sentence should read “When…, he will…strike out potentially…WILL…penalty.”
Obama would approve of this. I’m certain both will get a fair trial…and what does the grand international folks want to add to this broken process?

Posted on May 25, 2011 at 12:50amSeeing this, Assad should have no reason to give in to protesters. In such a position, any despot would use all the force at his disposal no matter how many thousands were killed. Either that or immediately flee the country.

Google the name: Lindsey Williams, Ken Fromm, the book “The Energy Non-Crisis”, Tie it in with current events.
Updates from Joel Rosenthal are really informative…mid east crisis and how it relates to Israel and our faith as Christians. I am so grateful that we have an intelligent, principled, spiritual analyst on the inside giving us on the outside an “informed analysis such as this man, Joel Rosenthal. Pay attention… History is filled with causes and effects.

He has certainly stepped in it and has his drones working over time, but the fiasco in Ireland was further embarrassment and with Libya becoming a disaster, It is going to get pretty brutal.

Posted on May 25, 2011 at 1:25amWell, both did that effectively, but only by keeping the whole place a police state. You could as easily praise a prison warden who keeps the Crips from murdering bloods in the maximum security wing.
That said, I have to admit I was impressed travelling through the Suez Canal; the pilot (an Egyptian ship’s officer navigating us through the canal) pointed out to us the president’s summer residence along the banks. If I recall correct, right next to it, or nearby, were both a mosque and a church on adjoining properties.
Bottom line though, Mubarrak was nowhere near the tyrant that Hussein was. (And when I say “Hussein” I mean Saddam. Naturally.) Yes, Mubarrak ruled with a heavy hand, but that was to keep the radical Mohammadans in check. Hussein gas-bombed Kurds for no particular reason other than that they were Kurds (a people who I believe have never had their own homeland.) Until recently at least, Egypt had its own native brewery and you could buy beer without worrying about getting your head cut off. Ya think the Brotherhood is going to stand for that?

Posted on May 25, 2011 at 1:52amSo glad someone still remembers that. Don’t forget Ron Brown and a plane load of assistants and whoevers, who had no business going to bosnia. Of course Vince, and o yea, Al Gore had some associates kill themselves as well. One dude shot himself, twice, in the head, with a different caliber bullet than the gun they found. Same as Vince Foster.
Please remember the innocent murdered in Idaho and Waco as well. Was Wesley Clarke or the other Janet ever brought up on charges?
Lastly, Oaklama City bomging. Bill Clinton makes the first Patriot Act by Exec. order. They new it had to be made concrete in Congress and you got, 911.
I don’t believe in coincidences. I’m not a huge Ales Jones fan, but he has been more correct than a lot of the tards who have their perverbial heads up their a$$,
Type in Q33NYC, highlight it and make the font wingding just for fun. That program was written early to mid-ninties.
There has always been a plan folks and those that obey, can get away with bloody murder. Those that rock the boat die in plane crashes or are shot. JFK wasn’t a conspiracy either? Was it you freak’n Ostridges?
Wake up and see or die!

Maybe they should try Iran’s Ahmadinejad (the head of the snake), Syria’s Assad, Libya’s Gadhafi, the Hezbollah leaders, the Hamas leaders, and all the rest of the thug-leaders in the Middle East as well, while they are at it.
Hey, there’s no dearth of thug-leaders housed in the corrupt U.N. So maybe they should go after them as well. The corrupt U.N. has been aiding and abetting corrupt leaders for years!
