Former GE CEO: Romney More Qualified to be President Than Someone Who Handed Out Leaflets as a Community Organizer

Former General Electric CEO Jack Welch appeared on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” to discuss the economy and the race between President Barack Obama and the presumed Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.
Morgan challenged Romney’s claim that, by virtue of the fact that he worked in private equity, he created jobs.
“That’s not why any private equity company buys a company,” Morgan said, “They don’t buy it to create jobs. They buy it to turn it around and make a profit.”
“I agree with that,” Welch immediately.
“So is [Romney] wrong to say ‘it’s about job creation?’” Morgan asked.
Welch conceded that the former Massachusetts governor’s current “job creator” argument may not be the correct one, but he also pointed out that Romney is not wrong when he says private equity helps create good, durable, and well-paying jobs.
“You don’t create scads of jobs, but you do create good paying jobs in a continuing industry,” Welch said.
Morgan moved on and asked Welch whether he thinks the discussion over who’s more qualified to create jobs will be the thing that decides the election.
“If it is, Romney oughta’ wipe it out,” Welch said, “When you look at those things I gave you for the qualifications, compare it to someone who was handing out leaflets as a community organizer, the global experience of doing all this — Piers! It’s not even close!”
Watch the discussion of Romney’s qualifications (via CNN):
And in regards to who’s better suited to handle the economy, Morgan asked Welch if he could think of anything President Obama should be credited for.
“What do you give him credit for in terms of the economy?” Morgan asked.
Welch’s answer, though non-verbal, speaks volumes (via WFB):

The ‘cult’ thing is growing a little stale.
It‘s one thing to disagree with another’s beliefs, it’s a completely different thing to belittle them for it.
As far as I can tell, a lot of folks think any church except the one they adhere to is a cult.
I’ll cast my vote for Romney.

We are not trying to get a president 1 job better than Obama. We need a president that understands the crisis we are in. Romney doesnt.
His budget doesnt cut current spending levels. How can anyone with any fiscal sense do that? That is basically endorsing Obama’s spending!!!!
He supports bills like the Patriot Act, NDAA, and gun control laws. That shows he has little respect for the Constitution.
He wants to keep us in the UN. Continue the foreign aid and being the global police force even though we are broke.
Those three things right there show Romney isnt some smart guy and is just more of the same. We dont need another Bush, Clinton, Bush, McCain, Obama type. We need a Jefferson or Washington!!! Romney is a worse candidate than McCain. If Romney is the candidate you will see the libertarians vote for Ron Paul or third party. That is basically ensuring Obama four more years if not more.
A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama!!

Yes, because something the church practiced back in the 1800′s qualifies them to be slenderized today. The LDS church, my church, has not practiced polygamy for almost over a century. Yet your beloved Barrack Obama’s own father had more than one wife and practiced polygamy with a grin on his face from ear to ear as he promoted Communism. What wonderful hypocrites some people are, aye?

The problem with this cliff is that mankind has never jumped off this way before. There are far to many crazies that view America as the problem and they will make a mistake.
One possible outcome is in an e-book by Nathan Hale “Death of Civilization; The Apocalypse Begins”. It is an excellent read and is scarier than Frostcheins “One Second After”.

“they don’t there basically Nazis and Communists”
First of all, use the correct version of “they’re”. That isn’t a typo. Not using punctuation is a typo. Using the incorrect version of there/they’re/their is a lack of basic intelligence; something you have exhibited throughout this thread today.
NOW, the thing some of you fools are forgetting is, it doesn’t matter who is president. THEY CAN’T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT CONGRESS. The vein of our existence lies in the removal of life long politicians (something Indiana has done something about by getting rid of Lugar). A president can promise the world, but if he can’t control the House and Senate, he isn’t getting anything done. Look to your local elections and get rid of the problem. Vote the tea party candidates for the Congress, and the liberty loving change we seek will start to evolve.
OH, and by the way, Ron Paul dropped out of the race. Ron Paul is not going to win. Let me emphasize, RON…..PAUL…..ISN’T…..GOING….TO….WIN…..ANYTHING. As a reference to Brad Hamilton in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”…………..Learn it, know it, live it.

Posted on May 25, 2012 at 9:35amWe know what is happening.
When are you going to realize that even if YOU are aware, you‘ve already been boxed in and all you’re doing is railing against the inevitable?
I highly suggest you find a ENG translation of Sun Tzu’s Art Of War and bone up on it — big time. For all the noise Paulistas have made, you still allowed yourself to be outmaneuvered and trapped on indefensible terrain. We have no solution for victory at this time, simply because the oplan went in the wrong direction (see below).
LIBERTARIANS TAKE NOTE: Attempting to win the presidency by way of a top-level attempt won’t work. There is no cohesive ground-level support, which is the only way to get someone in office. If you want a Libertarian or a Constitutionalist in office, you’ll need to build the brand recognition from the local level up. Hijacking the Republicans is not going to get the job done, you’ll disenfranchise a goodly portion of the R base and achieve no result.
If you want the inevitable victory, build a proper local->state->national->presidential presence in that order. You’re not going to achieve the result you want in any other fashion. Look at the multiple party structures in Britain for an example, they have it done (mostly) right.
I agree mostly with your platform, but the overarching strategy has nuked your operating concept. A war is never won in a single stroke by one man. I respectfully suggest you take this lesson to heart.
