Former terrorist Kamal Saleem
This week, CBN’s Erick Stakelbeck sat down with former Islamic terrorist Kamal Saleem to discuss his troubled past and his conversion to Christianity.
Saleem, who formerly embraced jihad, was raised in Lebanon and worked with terror leaders before renouncing his activities and turning away from a life of violence. Among those he collaborated with: the Muslim Brotherhood, Saddam Hussein, and Yasser Arafat.
Stakelbeck has more about Saleem’s intriguing story:
As a young man, he came to America with the goal of helping to destroy the country from within. Instead, he ended up becoming a Christian and leaving his old life behind, a journey he describes in his powerful book, “The Blood of Lambs.”
Today, Saleem devotes his life to warning about the Islamic jihadist threat and sharing his testimony of faith in Christ.
In a sit-down interview, Saleem discussed radical Islam and the horrific ideals he was indoctrinated to embrace by his own parents. When he was seven, he says he “became intimate” with the Muslim Brotherhood. Additionally, Saleem shared his conversion story and the events that led to his transition from Islam to Christianity.
Saleem says he remembers the Lord speaking directly to him as he first recognized the error of his ways.
“You are my warrior, you are not their warrior,” he remembers hearing God tell him.
“My Lord, my Lord I will live and die for you,” he responded to the Lord.
But God, he says, told him that dying for him was unnecessary.
Watch Saleem recap his fascinating story, below:

Apart from everything the Bible has to say, The ancient Jewish historian Josephus makes mention of Jesus as well as Qur’an. Even today Jewish people and Muslims acknowledge Jesus was a real person. The Muslims even refer to Him as the Prophet Isa

Posted on March 15, 2012 at 8:13amAnother book salesmen. I would hope someone vets this guy before taking everything said as gospel. I’m thinking his characterization of Islam is a little too Hollywood stereotypical. Not saying there are not folks out there like the ones he attributes to all Muslims. Frankly I can’t spend my time worrying that the 15 or so Muslim friends I have are just faking me out and waiting to kill me. I think just like in any religion there are moderates as well as extremists. His conversion proves that anyone can be along that continuum between far right and far left religiously and ideologically.

Posted on March 15, 2012 at 3:09pmThe guy might not be a complete fraud, but he’s definitely exaggerating. Here’s a fantastic review of his claims, by another Middle Eastern refugee: http://www.booksandculture.com/site/utilities/print.html?id=87522
Here’s a good example of some criticism:
“In The Blood of Lambs, Kamal Saleem writes, “I wanted to be like Bond.” In these pages he is Bond, James Bond, in size 6X. He gets those emphatic rivals, the PLO and the Muslim Brotherhood, both to recruit him. He recalls the intricate details of raids he carried out at age seven. Abu Jihad himself teaches him how to use an AK-47. He is shown off by Yasser Arafat as a model warrior. In Libya at age 14 he has Muammar Qaddafi gushing in gratitude. In Iraq, he waves to Saddam Hussein. He only meets one man smarter than himself, an American commander of the mujahidin at al-Qaeda, “the base,” in Afghanistan. No major war of liberation in the Arab world seems to have gone off without his expertise. He schmoozes with rich oil sheikhs in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia and makes love to the beautiful daughter of one of them in London. Even if one were disposed to give these entertaining claims the benefit of the doubt, the book’s frequent mistakes give the reader pause. The Islamic umma does not mean one world government, and it is not “coming.” The PLO was a secular organization even though Yasser Arafat prayed and quoted the Qur’an.”
Note: none of these claims has evidence for it.

How is it you had always known not to be an animal and act out in ways only to serve yourself for your own purposes of survival ? or are you one who does act out only to benefit yourself ? Have you managed to master the ways of that silent voice in your head using it to manipulate others for your own purposes ? You see, you, like many of the ignorant entilement demanding children I speak with, seem to be in such opposition to organized religion, that you have failed to recognize fiath can happen outside of it. Faith, acts of trusting in the unknown, resulting in consequences for which you have no power over. Therefore, they are more powerful than you, meaning, there is a higher power which is very much a part of your existence. Your reasoning is that since you don’t have to attach these powers to the actions of humans, that those who do are somehow fools. I assure you friend, it is only you who is the fool. No different than those of religion, I bet my last dollar you still seek purpose, just as they do, add practice a faith, no different than they. Hopefully you recognize you knowledge is limited to only what you know, resulting in a life where you continue to get what you always got, because you do what you always have done, for the reason you only know what you know. If you could live a lifetime in such a manor, you would classified as insane. I bet you don’t

Posted on March 14, 2012 at 10:44pmThe amazing Gospel of Jesus Christ is able to save even the vilest sinner. Aren’t we all sinners who need a Saviour? This man had an encounter with Jesus Christ that changed his life. Imagine if the Goods News of Jesus Christ could change the heart of this man, how much more it can change the whole nation of islam, if we pray? That’s the main difference between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the poison of islam. One is full of Love and gives you a choice and one is full of hate, forcing you to bow or get your head chopped off. One is truth and one is lies. I say, if this man was transformed by Jesus who are we to say differently, unless he proves otherwise? We need to really ask God to help us discern between the liars and those that are true. Apparently, some believers didn’t discern very well in the election. Pray that we will know the difference this time.

And God Bless the Blaze and Glenn Beck for bringing real news to us- not all of which is “main stream”, but isn’t that the point??? The Truth isn’t bound by secular definition.
This is why we are to love our enemies. Jesus died for us while we were yet sinners, and also died for the potential within each and every one of those who wander in darkness without hope. Both the oppressor and the oppressed can be saved- as long as they can still turn away from Christ, there is hope. Because in the end, on Judgement Day, all knees will bow, and none will be able to turn away.
Pray for the oppressed as well as the oppressors around the world!

No one but God Himself can see into the heart of man. We are taught in the bible that we will know them by their fruit. It is right to be cautious but we cannot judge another’s intentions or heart beliefs. I understand what you’re saying and my flesh fully agrees but fortunately for us God already gave us instructions on how to deal with this. Wait and watch what fruit comes from it. The fact that he is speaking loudly against Islam and the evil it puts forth (at great risk to his own safety and that of anyone he cares for) says a lot. I believe he is already displaying fruits of the spirit in doing what he is doing already.

I think Saleem is absolutely sincere. His book does nothing to promote Islam, and he doesn’t show his face or tell his real name because he is under threat of death – as is anyone who speaks out against Islam. I guess Islam just can’t stand the test of truth if it has to kill anyone who disagrees. “You shall know them by their fruits..” – Which religions produce the best “fruits”?
