Former Military Personnel: UFOs Eyed Our Nukes

Could UFOs be eying our nuclear missiles? Could they be sending us a message about our nuclear program? One UFO researcher thinks so, and he believes he has the first-hand accounts of former military personnel to prove it.
Speaking at the National Press Club, UFO researcher and author Robert Hastings presented seven former military personnel to the press in order to detail eyewitness, and some second-hand, accounts of UFO sightings near nuclear weapons and nuclear weapons facilities.
“I believe — these gentlemen believe — that this planet is being visited by beings from another world, who for whatever reason have taken an interest in the nuclear arms race which began at the end of World War II,” said Hastings.
Some of the former military personnel present said that UFOs hovering over silos around Montana’s Malmstrom Air Force Base in 1967 appeared to have temporarily deactivated some of the nuclear missiles, CNN reports.
Hastings interprets that as a message: “Regarding the missile shutdown incidents, my opinion … is that whoever are aboard these craft are sending a signal to both Washington and Moscow, among others, that we are playing with — firethat the possession and threatened use of nuclear weapons potentially threatens the human race and the integrity of the planetary environment.”
However, that feeling doesn’t resonate with everyone:
A reporter asked how many of the former military personnel subscribed to Hastings’ theory that the message of extraterrestrials is that humans should get rid of nuclear weapons, and how many of them believed that we should get rid of nukes. Of the seven, it appeared that only [one] raised his hand.

You have there a craft observed by thousands that hovered without sound over Phoenix, and including among the observers the Arizona governor, who was a former Air Force pilot.

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 11:20amThis is a stupid story from almost every perspective. Space is simply too vast for little nuclear weapons to be a threat to anyone else. In fact they are much more useful as tools in space, for pushing mass and terraforming and signalling. Real threats over interstellar distances are simple kinetic rounds traveling significant % of light speed. These supposed expert witnesses and this one guy’s theory are just more self serving BS. If aliens were concerned with us wiping ourselves out they would be hovering over nano-tech and genetic engineering research facilities. I swear, some people who get security clearances seem to develope instant tunnel vision. Sort of the same thing that happens whe someone gets re-elected to congress for the 3rd or 4th time in a row.

For all we know they could have been doing a fly by & laughing at us. Maybe they eat nuclear fissle material as part of a healthy diet & they were hungry. Astronauts and pilots from other countries as well as America have been reporting sightings of crafts completely unlike anything seen on Earth for many years. Why the GREAT COVER-UP? That‘s what I don’t understand. I personally think it’s arrogant on our part to think we are the only intelligent life-forms in the Universes. I say “intelligent” with tongue in cheek. The fact that most people wouldn‘t admit to seeing such things if they did see such things doesn’t mean it isn’t true. The fact that our government completely denies these occurrences and hides the reports about them and threatens people who don’t go along with their secrecy doctrine makes me believe it must be true.

Go back to B.C. times: The Hittites beat up everyone because they had bronze weapons, till someone came along with Iron (I‘m not sure if it’s the Persians or Assyrians). Europeans killed off Indians because they had guns and horses. In the Civil War, the North beat the South, because of the industrialization of the North. How did the U.S. end WW2? Dropped the most advanced and catastrophic weapon ever made.
The theory goes like: if our civilization comes in contact with a more technologically advanced one, that the less advanced will die off.
