Former Rep. Alan Grayson Runs Red Light, Crashes Into City Bus on Way to Fundraiser

Former Florida Congressman Alan Grayson’s hopes to regain a seat in Congress were slightly dented this past weekend.

En route to a campaign fundraising luncheon, Grayson reportedly ran a red light in his Mercedes-Benz and crashed into a city bus. Two people on the bus were reportedly injured and transported to a hospital for treatment. Grayson and his passenger were not hurt and the police investigation is ongoing, although police did say Grayson would be ticketed.

The one-term congressman, who was roundly defeated by Republican Daniel Webster in the 2010 election, was going to a closed-door fund raising lunch hosted by actress Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The suggested donation for the event was reported to be $1000 per person. Grayson’s campaign has not released any photos or video from that luncheon.

 

The fiery Democrat continued his campaigning yesterday, speaking at the annual dinner for Democrats in Pinellas, Florida. Fox Nation reports that Grayson opened the meeting with a curious prayer:

“Dear Lord, thank God I’m a Democrat. And thank God I did not have to vote in the Republican presidential primary.”

Later in the evening, Grayson was quoted calling the entire field of GOP candidates “a bunch of losers.”

    I thank God he‘s a democrat and I thank God we don’t have to depend on his vote in the Republican primaries! God Bless Daniel Webster. We all need to support Daniel Webster so he can defeat that crazy loonatik again!

      Remember, FL voters, Grayson is part of the 1% (and now running 2nd to Debbie Wasserman-Shultz as the most embarassing attraction in FL) and should not be voted back into office. Don’t care if he is worth millions, it’s his money, but his arrogance rises above his wealth. When was the last time anyone heard of him doing something good with his money (the sound of silence)? Orlando, you did a great job in 2010, please don’t let this jerk back in office!

      If I was one of the injured people on the bus I would sue his pants off…Unfortunately…If you are on a Links bus then chances are you voted for the moron and actually like him and think he is an effective lawmaker and a great person…But because you are an entitlement leech you would sue him anyway…

      Hope he gets sued, this one should be worth at least a few bucks…

      Why not have his own salary pay for the public-funded school-bus replacement? He should NOT
      be let go – he made a moving-violvation and should pay dearly – not one dollar from the public trough.

      I thought all lefty democrats like him were non-believers,,, so I guess when he says “thank God I am a democrat, or not a republican that its only a matter of speech. At one time there were pro life demos but I think they have all died out but yet there are some GOP that are pro abortion. I sure hope this guy doesn’t win his election.

    I am surprised any decent human being would want to associate with such a hateful little man. Shame on Hines and Kennedy for having a fund raiser for him. I rarely called people names as I feel it lessens the debate but this man’s picture should be in the dictionary next to idiot. His rhetoric is as careless and mindless and his driving. We need less people in congress like him and I would say this even if he were a Republican. The MSM is always crying how uncivil congress is becoming – well this man is the poster child for incivility.

      If this “person” is an example of what the Democrats get behind then being called a loser by the likes of Grayson IMO would be a badge of honor since Grayosn IS one of the worst public servants I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching on the house floor. This genius is a symptom of a larger cancer that has eaten away the last ounce of moral fibre in the Democrat party (if they had any to begin with). To have the DNC actively support a re election bid (in another district) for this “king” of the morons tells me more about the DNC than I care to know. I certainly hope the good citizens of FLA can see through this carbetbagger/snake oil salesman for what he truly is, a DNC flunky/hack, street soldier and send him packing for good.
