Former TX Occupier Launches ‘Fantasy’ Naked Maid Service

LUBBOCK, Texas (The Blaze/AP) — Police in this staunchly conservative West Texas city are keeping close tabs on a young entrepreneur’s recently opened cleaning service that offers nude maids. Yes, you read that correctly: naked housekeepers.

Lubbock police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said the owner of Fantasy Maid Service of Lubbock doesn’t have a permit to operate a sexually oriented business and officers are watching for any violation, which would bring a $2,000 fine.

But owner Melissa Borrett insists she’s not operating such a business. Customers pay $100 an hour for one maid or $150 an hour for two maids, and no touching is allowed, she said.

“I run a maid service,” the 26-year-old entrepreneur said. “We really just clean houses. These girls are not performers. They’re maids.”

The West Texas native and mother said she started the business about a month ago because she was struggling as a waitress to make ends meet. She had even been living at the Occupy Lubbock encampment near Texas Tech University’s campus in Lubbock.

“I just decided to go a little bigger, work a little smarter,” she said.

Her business model isn’t unique, but the city’s ordinance requires all sexually oriented businesses to apply for a permit, which costs $650 a year, and to post a $5,000 surety bond or letter of credit.

Such businesses are defined as any commercial venture whose operations include “providing, featuring or offering of employees or entertainment personnel who appear in a state of nudity, seminude or simulated nudity and provide live performances or entertainment“ intended to sexually stimulate or gratify customers ”and which is offered as a feature of a primary business activity of the venture.”

Stewart wouldn’t say how police planned to keep tabs on the maid service, and Borrett said she would hire an attorney to fight any attempt by the city to shut her down.

So far, Borrett said, business has been good and she is now busy interviewing to hire more maids. She currently has three on staff. She offers a regular discount to government employees and law enforcement, and an ad posted Friday on the online bartering site Craigslist offered 20 percent discounts for Easter weekend.

If requested, the maids would clean fully clothed, but the cost is the same.

“It is kind of pricey, but we’re fantasy maids,” Borrett said.

      Actually, God did mind the fact that Solomon had 600 wives. It was one of the reasons why the kingdom of Israel was torn apart after he died. Read 1 Kings 11:1-13.

      Even Jacob had too many wives. While he was tricked into marrying Leah, that seemed to be the person that God meant for him. He did not have any children with Rachael until Judah was born. Judah was the person who was the ancestor of Jesus. Judah’s three older brothers, Reuben, Simeon, and Levi, disqualified themselves from this honor because of some of the things that they did in their lifetimes. Genesis 49:31 tells about how Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried in the tomb, Isaac and his wife Rebecca were buried in the tomb… and Jacob and Leah were buried in the tomb. Rachael was buried elsewhere.

      Brooke is correct about God minding that Solomon had all those wives. In Deuteronomy 17:14-17, God commanded that any kings who would rule over Israel were not to do three things. They were not to acquire for themselves large amounts of horses, wives and riches (silver and gold).

      1 Kings 11 is a bad place for a chapter break, because 1 Kings 10:14 – 11:3 describes how Solomon broke all three of those commandments, one after another. Since they were all listed together, it seems to be an obvious reference to the Deuteronomy 17 passage. Solomon was already being disobedient even before his wives turned his heart toward idols.

      God didn’t seem to mind when King Solomon had 600 wives and 300 concubines. Tell me, why is it ok for a man to use marriage as a way to sleep with hundreds of women yet hiring a sexy woman to clean your house, a woman you’re not even going to sleep with, a bad thing?

      So long as this woman isn’t violating any laws, then let her run her business. I agree its odd, but that’s the ingenuity of the free market…find a demand for something and provide the supply for it. If people want this service, let them have it.

    I have lived in Lubbock my entire young life and all I have to say is thank you Texas Tech University for introducing the filth of the world into a staunchly conservative and wholesome town.       What you are saying makes no sense. Every year we have a day when children go unattended from door to door soliciting adults they don’t know for candy at their doorstep. They have purposley made it difficult for people to afford to eat at a restaurant, which results in loss of income for waitresses.     I am quite certain “Officers are watching.” How else can law enforcement be perverts while getting paid for the facade of enforcing the law?
