Cain Accuser’s Graphic Claim: He Tried to Grab My Genitals, Forced My Head to His Crotch

The woman at the center of the latest Herman Cain sexual assault accusations unveiled detailed and graphic accusations during a press conference on Monday. According to her, Cain tried to grope her genitals and then tried to force her head into his crotch in the late 90s.
Sharon Bialek, described by her attorney as a registered Republican, told reporters Monday in New York that she met with Cain to ask about getting her old job back at the National Restaurant Association in the summer of 1997. At the time, Cain was chief of a restaurant trade group.
She described an evening in mid-July when she had dinner in Washington, D.C., with Cain, whom she had contacted. The two were in a car for what she thought was a ride to an office building.
“Instead of going into the offices he suddenly reached over and he put his hand on my leg, under my skirt toward my genitals,” she said.
“He also pushed my head toward his crotch,” she added.
She said she told Cain to stop, adding that he did.
Bialek said that, when she asked Cain what he was doing, Cain said, “You want a job, right?”

Bialek said she did not file a workplace complaint against Cain at the time because she was not employed.
She said she informed both her boyfriend, an unidentified pediatrician, and a longtime male friend.
Cain’s campaign instantly issued a denial. “All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are false,” it said, and added Cain “has never harassed anyone” and called Bialek’s allegations “bogus attacks.”
Bialek made the accusations alongside high-profile attorney Gloria Allred. Allred added that Bialek does not plan on filing a lawsuit.
Bialek’s appearance at a news conference marked a new and – for Cain – dangerous turn in a controversy that he had been trying to lay to rest.

The volume of women troubles me but the timing seems to be more than just coincidental. Allred announces there’ll be no suit filed? Hmmm…curiouser and curiouser. We should recall that Allred represented the illegal immigrant that somehow surfaced against Meg Whitman but never amounted to anything either. Perhaps we should be looking at what money Bialek is banking in the near future? Something isn’t as it seems with this situation. I am an adult and my decision to vote for Herman is waiting for the facts. If he was involved in any of these , you can consider him not viable. First, her story that she didn’t file a claim at the time because she was not employed is bogus. If he conditioned an offer of employment on unwanted sexual behavior, she had a gold-plated claim.
Second, the statement that she is not going to sue now is ridiculous. Of course she isn’t. Any statute of limitations expired a decade ago.
Third, Cain does not specifically deny the behavior. He just continues to deny that he ever “sexually harassed” anyone. This could be legal doublespeak. Any behavior that was consensual or not unwelcome is, by definition, not “sexual harassment” under the law. It does sound fishy. I can’t imagine why he would agree to a private dinner meeting with this woman to discuss her possible employment.

You’re asking people to not be callous to…what? You can’t “prove” harrassment? How about having a credible story? Coming out over a decade later, making an accusation in a hot news cycle, hiring GLORIA FREAKING ALLRED, and then NOT filing a suit? Why hire a lawyer to NOT file suit?
Again, the allegations are baseless, the claims unsubstantiated. The signed depositions are worthless because it’s impossible to vet their veracity. This is precisely why a statute of limitations exists in every single state: If the alleged “occurrence” was so damaging, you would file suit earlier, or at least make a complaint…you’re pretty much guaranteed a settlement in a case like this.
Nothing in these allegations holds water. This case is an anomoly even in light of the other cases, because the behavior stated here goes far beyond what has been mentioned before.
The allegations seem specious, hence the callous attitude. You can’t accept a statement as fact because it seems so bad; there must be some sort of process to verify the claim. Oh wait, there is a process to verify the claim…the court system. Amazingly, none of these went to trial, this one wasn’t even reported.
This is the kind of case that could push damages in the 7 figure range…overt sexual assault by a CEO of a trade organization? Please let me lawyer that case…You’ll get a 6 figure settlement without batting an eye.
This is a hit job…nothing more.

Third, this traumatic and horrible thing happened to her and she was so distraught that she told her boyfriend and he just simply took it at face value and asked for no details whatsoever? He made no move to charge Cain with any crime and didn’t even confront him in any way? If this story somehow turns out to be true then throw the book at him but I don’t buy it for a second.

Payouts to three women, now this one comes forward, and she has affidavits signed by people she confided to about the attempted sexual assault when it occurred, so it isn‘t something she’s just made up. There’s been too much of this for the charges to be false in all four cases.
I was almost at the point where I was ready to overlook his intellectual shortcomings, because Bush wasn’t the brightest bulb around and he was pres, thinking that good, capable advisors would make up for Cain’s inability, but this is the last straw.
The man has the same low morals as Clinton without Clinton’s intellect, and that, in my mind, disqualifies him to be president.
I can’t help but note how this guy is NEVER criticized for his inadequacies, but Sarah Palin was constantly denigrated as being dumb, although it’s plain to see to any thinking person that she could run circles around Cain.
Will he get the nomination? There’s still a chance he will. But, it doesn’t really matter. He’ll lose to Obama as will any of the other lackluster Republicans in the race right now.
The Republicans won’t nominate somebody who could make a difference like Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan.

Really? Cain has a bachelors degree in mathmatics from Morehouse College, a masters degree in computer science from Purdue. He was a balistics analyst for the navy, a computer analyst for coca-cola, director of business analysis for Pillsbury, CEO of Godfathers, and a Board member of the Federal reserve Bank of Kansas City. I don‘t think Herman Cain’s intellect is in question.

I’ve listened carefully to Cain many times. He often has to have questions repeated to him with a request to, “Run that by me again,” response, and the answers he comes up with are not anywhere on a level with the average politician. Too, his two interviews on the O’Reilly Factor were pretty bad.
I‘d also have to do some background work on Cain’s degrees too, to see if they were the result of AA or if he actually earned them himself.
