Fox Host Wonders if Homeland Security Will Take Off Christmas Like ‘Last Year’

Monday night we brought you the video of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s gaffe saying that her department protects Americans “364 days a year.” We wondered what day Homeland Security might take off. Well, this morning, so did “Fox and Friends” host Gretchen Carlson, who took a jab at the department for last year’s “underwear bomber” when she wondered if, like “last year,” the day off would land on Christmas:

To be fair, Napolitano wasn’t serious, but it has sure made for some great thought experiments.

UPDATE:

Carlson repeated her light-hearted jab for a second time on air.

    It won’t matter if they do. THEY ARE OFF 365 DAYS ANYWAY! THEY ARE REALLY DOING NOTHING TO SECURE THE BORDER EXCEPT PROSECUTING STATES TRYING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. Let them stay home and don’t pay them and take the money off of the Federal deficit. THEY SEEM TO BE A FEDERAL DEFICIT THEMSELVES!!

    I’m now more convinced the Obama administration exists in another deminsion. In their world, they have 57 states and a 364 day year, and a great number of over educated, naive, ignorant people
    running around attemptint ot justify their existence, and failing miserabily I might add. Hey, no surprise, that’s what liberal Progressives have been doing forever.

    Why doesn’t Nappy exclude all muslims, Mexicans, Palestinian and Yemeni from all searches? And while they are at it, why do they need a passport? Don’t you think they should fly “free”? What in the h*ll is wrong with this administration and doesn’t anyone in the Republican party have enough substance to launch an impeachment hearing on the Kenyan in charge?

      I’m sure this never crossed their “minds”, but it is possible to have 364 day years and 367 day years. Our ship set out for deployment (“float”) during a leap year (366 days). When we crossed the international date line, west of Pearl, we picked up another day (367). we came back east during a normal year (365 days), and dropped the day we picked up. (364 days). Fact.

    Neopolitano reminds me of the ice cream. When things get hot, she melts away into the background somewhere. Our borders become more dangerous each day and she has the nerve to stand there and say they protect Ameica. If America is really protected at all it is because of God and a lot of luck. These Obamanites have done nothing to secure our borders and keep armed muslims from entering our country and don’t even talk about it. Does this fat ugly woman actually think we are that dumb ?       If you see a story in a news paper that you think will waste your time, do you read it anyway ? i.e the obits do you read them even if you’re not intrested ?
      This is a NEWS site .. With NEWS in every fashion, Not just politics.. If you think it will waste your time skip over to the next story.. That’s what i would do. Course thats common sense..

    Progressive Marxist atheist do not want to acknowledge Christmas. I do not believe this was a slip of the tong. They show their inner thoughts and beliefs when no scripted speeches exist.

    Our Heavenly Father, we need you dear Lord.       That was funny. They had a special on donsmithshow.com about Fox and Friends. They are all pretty cool people. Very friendly when I met them this summer.

      I saw an ad that would just tear your brain out. The ad was for a mortgage company called Lendgo or something, the ad was for a home loan of $160,000 for about $500 per month. Here is the kicker, NO SSN REQUIRED! How is that for jumping right back in the fire? Yes kick illegals OUT they have no right to be here and are killing our economy in border states.

      So…if they take Christmas off would you really be able to tell the difference. The TSA is so focused on form over substance chances are they wouldn’t find anything coming through security if they were on duty. Remember folks!
