Fox News Correspondent Greg Palkot Reunites With Egyptian Man Who Saved His Life From Savage Beating

In what can only be described as rare and profoundly moving experience, a Fox News correspondent had the opportunity to personally meet and thank the man who saved his life from a horrific beating by an angry mob in Egypt. Greg Palkot, along with a cameraman and a Canadian journalist suffered a horrific run-in with a mob in Egypt’s Tahrir square in February. All three were badly beaten but survived thanks to a few brave samaritans who stepped in to help — one of them was Youssif Ghalez.
Relaying the events as they unfolded that day, Palkot writes:
For eight hours, he sheltered us in his apartment near Tahrir Square. At great risk to his own life, he kept us under wraps while thugs ransacked the rest of the floor searching for foreigners and then using the hallway just outside the apartment as a staging ground for lighting Molotov cocktails.
I can remember him peering through the frosted glass of his apartment door while the hooligans ran wild, ready to throw his life on the line for ours.
He gave us food, water, blankets, and being a Coptic Christian, even prayed with us.
When gas bombs started coming through the windows we made a break from the building. That’s
when we had more of our difficulties.
Today, Youssif was genuinely surprised and happy to see me. Amazingly, he told me just today he was thinking about our experience together.
According Palkot, Youssif said he too had fled and was also beaten, adding that he had been threatened again during recent riots.
Palkot adds:
I asked him how he felt about things in this country. With Islamist parties surging in the current parliamentary elections, some fear for the fate of minorities like Christians.
He said he hoped for the best. And invited me to return when things are a bit more calm.
I agreed. A good man, indeed.

He’s a lot braver than the normal Muslim who hide behind religious reasons to beat their women and claim they have no self constraint (the reason women must cover all skin).

I think we all need to do some serious praying for this man and all the Christians in Egypt! It is interesting in the Bible during the end times there is mention of those in Egypt that will be saved! I‘ll grant you that this isn’t technically a war zone, but we all know the insane emotional volatility of these people. And the insane belief that they have the right to life and no other human of differing belief does.
Frankly, IMHBLO, the fact that we accept that as an ‘answer’ to this ‘position’ is itself insane. Worse, that we accept the claim that jews are the root of problems for the peoples of the middle east is just as insane.
Sure it was dangerous and he knew it. He went anyway. Personally, I‘d rather go into a battle zone with our troops than be in the middle of an insane cultivated ’revolution’.
You were safer going to a TEA Party gathering than going to a OWS protest. The facts are clear and indisputable. I’m happy he was saved AND by a Christian. It‘s equally clear that if you are going to die in a ’protest‘ for revolutionary overthrow of your government Christians won’t be the ones who start the killing, if it occurs.

I can see the headlines now… “Muslim man saves right-wing reporter’s life.” I’m going out on a limb here, and I may be totally wrong about this, but the fact that he is a Coptic Christian, instead of a Muslim, may very well have turned off a lot of liberal reporters. I honestly think that’s how the left-wing media thinks. They don’t care about a life saved, they just want to trash anyone who doesn’t agree with their illogical views.
