NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel more than doubled the audience it had for the 2006 midterm election.
The Nielsen Co. said Wednesday that just under 7 million people watched Fox’s election coverage Tuesday night, a rough night for President Barack Obama. In 2006, which was a rough night for President George W. Bush, the network had 3.1 million viewers.
CNN had 2.4 million viewers on Tuesday night, while MSNBC had 1.9 million. Nielsen had no immediate estimate of the audience for the broadcast networks, promising it for Thursday.
Each of the cable networks had a smaller audience than in 2008, when Obama was elected. The difference was most stark at CNN, which had an election night audience of 12.3 million two years ago.

Posted on November 4, 2010 at 1:25amFox News is the best. That’s why Obama, Soros, Huffington, and all the Marxist radicals in America have it in for them.
Their ratings will just go up, and up, and up, as more Americans decide they are fed up with being lied to and disrespected.

Posted on November 4, 2010 at 12:14amWow, I forgot all about CNN last night (I guess that says something). I kept flipping back and forth from Fox News (for the election results), CNBC (to see what the money guys were saying about the election results), and MSNBC (to see if anyone was committing suicide).

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 11:34pmIf we just quit watching those liberal channels, (I know its hard to find humor in this world) but if we could just for a month or so. This would tell them that we are tired of the crap that they are dishing out. There ratings would fall below a million or so. Then the advertisers would quit putting their ads on their channels. This would kill them because then they wouldn’t have the revenue to pay all these idiots to voice their opinions.

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 11:13pmFNC keeps covering these types of stories and reporting like they do. They will probably double their ratings next year also. Everyday people are getting the message that Fox tells it like it is. No liberal hype for them.

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 10:07pmAnd, most of that is due to Glenn Beck, because if not for Glenn Beck I would have turned the TV off long ago!
Glenn Beck is the man who saved the Republic and last night I celebrated our win with Glenn on Insider Extreme!
We love you Glenn. Noone has sacrificed more than you for the Republic. You’ve put your life on the line, and, we who know you, recognize that and that’s why I celebrated last night with you on Insider!
This is your victory as well as ours, and none of the Fox News pundits can take it away! If anyone should have been there on Fox News last night you should have been!
God bless you, Glenn.

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 10:20pmr u serious ? u said “Glenn Beck is the man who saved the Republic ” and “ Noone has sacrificed more than you for the Republic”. I mean everyone is entitled to an opinion but would you care to put those comments into a context? Like, compared to those supposed journalists in the media “ Noone has sacrificed more than you for the Republic” or something like that? bec ause if you meant your words the way I may have mistakenly read them, well, besides offensive I think it would be pretty ignorant and scary and borderline on idol worship. I hope I am wrong

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 10:45pmI agree silenttreader. Glenn had an enormous impact on people simply by making them think logically about things. Even if Glenn sounded like he was from space, he still got people thinking about the issues, which produced people talking about the issues, which produced people DOING something about the issues, which produced good results in the election. One man can make a difference.
And as a disclaimer, I don‘t worship Glenn Beck and I’m sure you don’t either. I am grateful to Mr. Beck for getting me to wake up and think about what was going on in my country and having the guts to challenge me to do something about it. Thanks Glenn. We all appreciate what you do.

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 11:27pmuhadenoughyet.com: Silentreader meant that Glenn has done more than anyone to open our eyes to George Soros and the crap that the Liberal Socialists Democratic Party had in store for us. He is the only one that has made us remember to study the Constitution and start watching our so called leaders and to hold them accountable. You really need to lighten up on him. Because he is right as far as I am concerned. Glenn has done a lot to teach us in his limited time on Fox and in the books that he has written to show us the in and outs of their madness. He showed us that we need to start studying the Democrats and learning from them on how they think that we are too stupid to know what is going on.

Posted on November 4, 2010 at 9:31amRight on Silentreader! The Blaze wouldn‘t even exist if it weren’t for Glenn! If it weren’t for Glenn and his courage to stand for the Republic no one would have had the guts to stand up to the Obama machine! I started watching Glenn when he was on CNN Prime and loved his style of telling like it is! There may have been a couple other guys out there Rush etc., but Glenn exposed all our weaknesses and lack of knowledge regarding current events and history! Glenn Beck saves the Republic through his belief in God!

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 11:56pmI think that 100,000 FOX viewers that switched over and back 19 times to watch the meltdown skewed their rating numbers. It‘s the BLAZE’S fault…. I never would have looked in on them if the BLAZE hadn’t been reporting on the meltdown. Stop telling us what they do over there and they won’t have ANY viewers and those bafoons will be in the unemployment line.

Interesting just what two little years of hell on earth can do to get the people woken up, rialed up, and set the political elites tails on fire!!! The reason most people were not watching the news stations is that most were out voting the bums out of office!!!
Also the part for CNN, should that not have read two viewers approximently 12.3 million years ago?
