Fox News Host Claims TSA Tore Off Fox Logo & ‘Sliced Up’ His Bag

Dealing with the Transportation Security Administration can be frustrating. Aside from the long lines and invasive processes, there are occasional systematic hiccups that can make air travel more than unpleasant. This is something that Fox News Radio host Todd Starnes apparently learned the hard way this holiday season.
Following some air travel over the Christmas holiday, Starnes is claiming that TSA agents roughed up his bag. Aside from removing the Fox News logo, damage was apparently inflicted upon his luggage.

Starnes, the host of “Fox News & Commentary” and a popular user on Twitter, a social media platform, sent a series of messages about the alleged incident. He wrote that once TSA agent told him to “call the government” if he wished to get money when he inquired about what led to his damaged luggage (the exact quote, according to Starnes, was, “You gotta call the government to get yo money.”).

Starnes wrote, “TSA ripped off my Fox News logo and sliced up my luggage,” in one of his tweets. He also sent out an image of what the bag purportedly looked like when he initially received it. While you can’t see much damage, there is some TSA tape that says “inspected” (so we at least know that officials looked at the bag):

We’ll have to wait and see how this unfolds, but in a tweet posted late last night, Starnes said, “TSA says it could take up to 6 months to investigate my bag they destroyed.” Looks like it’ll be a long haul for the host to get the situation resolved.

Posted on December 27, 2011 at 7:56amPast time to start an e-mail campaign.
Each of your Federal Senators ‘should’ have an e-mail contact form. So should your Representative. They are usually fill in the blank with a ‘comment’ field and should probably have a field to select that says “Reply Requested”.
Use Notepad or some other word processor tos save a ‘standard’ e-mail letter so you can just copy and paste.
Every couple of days e-mail each of them a question and request a response;
“I am requesting your assistance locating some information. Where in the Constitution of the United States does the Federal Government get its LEGAL AUTHORITY to expend funds on or regulate (insert action here)?”
“I request a written response to my inquiry.”
Keep it nice, limit it to the one question and feel free to reference Article 1, Section 8 and the 10th Amendment. If you have the funds to do it write a real letter to them which will force them to answer in kind.
Let’s get 1 million a week going in then shoot for more.

Posted on December 27, 2011 at 5:39pmNot taking the train. No way. TSA will just shift personnel to train stations to process all the extra riders. They won’t walk the rails, however, which is where any self-respecting real terrorist will perform his acts of sabotage, instead of trying to blow himself up in a single car. The people riding the trains will all be cleared by TSA, and then they’ll zip off to their deaths down line, where a terrorist will have planted explosives under trestles and in tunnels. Why kill himself and only a dozen other riders, when he can take out the whole train? Yeah, I feel real safe with TSA copping feels on all the little kids and old ladies at the depot, while hundreds of thousands of miles of rail just lies there waiting for the saboteur.

Daughter says, if he hacked off the ticket agent, agent could have contacted baggage handlers to ensure bag getting caught in the machinery. 4) The bag doesn’t get to the TSA personnel until AFTER it clears the machinery. They just put the tape on damaged bags to try to hold them together. If the tape said the name of the airline instead of TSA, the FOX guy would be yelling at the airline, and not TSA.
