It seems Wisconsin doctors writing “sick notes” for protesters in Madison don’t have any plans to stop. Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins recently confronted one such doctor and her “patient,” and the doctor slyly dodged the issue while her patient deflected criticism with sarcasm.
It’s interesting to note the doctor does seem to become embarrassed as the interview progresses:

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 12:38pmWouldn’t they take your children away from you,if they found that you were writing notes,so thta you children could play “hooky”,and go fishing.Just a side note,if anyone wants to look it up.SAunspots have ,more to do with weather change than CO2,,they have caused since the year 1415 period of warming and cooling that last approximately 90yrs, search for “sporer minimum, “mauder minimum” and “dolton minimum” Its about time someone exposed the fraud that is “global warming”

These people seem to think they are above the law, in this case fraud, they should be punished. Worst off is the horrible example they are setting for the children they teach lie about being sick, “get someone to fake a note for you and you are good to go!”

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 1:04pmIsn’t it illegal to practice medicine outside of an office? I may be mistaken on that but common sense would dictate that there is no way in the world to correctly diagnose a patient in the middle of the street and that the doctor may actually be placing that person in more danger by improperly diagnosing a patient that just walks up to them stating they are about to snap. That one woman that did, at least here in LA, should have immediatley been committed for psychological evaluation for that statement. And that doctor knows that what that lady says makes her 100% liable for ANY action that lady does from that point forward especially since she did not treat her but merely wrote her a note.

You can believe it is about the Constitution and the welfare of the people but it is time the whole bunch of you grow up and realized what is really going on. This too will pass. Whereas I strongly agree with much of the simple, common sense logic in most of the comments… we will get beyond these days. Yet, these days will endure… especially if we keep dragging them up. In January the Dems called for civility. In February Dems (Progressives) dictate lie is a part of civility. It would be one thing if the argument was over children, test scores or even simple economics. But this debate is about poorly performing, grossly over paid and benefited elitists, who just want an ever enlarging slice off their dictatorial pie. Their spoiled brat antics must burn in the minds of voters for decades to come.
There is a vast difference between private sector and public sector. Quite honestly I prefer working non-union private sector, and have for long over a decade after both union and public experience. Private Sector is the backbone of the American dream. Significant parts of the Federal Government do not tolerate unions. Unions and Public Sector is rather a non sequitur. The Public Sector has many watchdogs, within and without. There is, or should be, no drive for profit. The drive should be for quality service as appraised by those who are served. Public Sector always SERVES many different factions, the servants being the minor portion. If teachers gave stellar results, they would be worthy of stellar pay and benefits. Failure to serve is, failure to serve, and failure, F. Education in America has become all about teachers, Professors, not results. It is an uncivil sham and scam on the back of the Private Sector. Trying to gingerly pick and apply Private Sector struggles to Public Sector service needs is disingenuous. I would be fired many times over for the antics of these Public Service teachers and Senators. If they want some of the reality of the Private Sector, let them take it all…. since that will not happen, they deserve none of it. Kill Public Sector Unions for they will always be a sick shadow of a sick episode of our history. I prefer my private sector, non union work that struggles to be Post-Union, where results and truth matter most… an American ideal. Much of Union mentality will continue to pass from the generations to come.

I would like to know where the parents are on this situation. Afterall, they are paying the salaries, insurance premiums, pensions and maybe pedi and manicures for the freeloaders.

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 4:55pmI wish this reporter would have confronted Hankie Pankie Paulson about
his 500 million payoff from GS that got tax deferment
So you don’t want to pay a bunch in taxes. Yeah, we hear you. Solution? Absolutely. All you have to do is move to Washington and go to work for the president. Seriously. Former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson sold $500 million of his stock in Goldman Sachs shares and didn’t pay one single USD in capital gains. That’s right. Your blue collar pay check goes right to the IRS and if you trade stocks you’re getting hit with taxes anywhere from 5% to 15%, but not a single cent of this former US government employee’s hundreds of millions of dollars went to the IRS.
Isolated incident you might think? I think not. Secretary Paulson’s predecessors Robert Rubin and Paul O’Neil also enjoyed a luxurious tax dodge as well. Don’t think that others have not been graced with the same practice. Names like Rumsfeld and Evans too, have not been taxed.
Now if you know your politics, you may be mulling over the fact we have laws that have been put in place to cease these practices. George Bush Sr. passed the Ethics and Reform Act of 1989 that supposedly did away with honorarium on Capitol Hill. At face value, the act placed employment restrictions on Congressmen, increased disclosure of financial dealings, and reformed the savings and loan industry to combat the crisis back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. It also allowed Freddie and Fannie to support mortgages for low- and moderate-income families (not that that would become a problem).
So now we have this act which “discourage[s] able citizens from entering public service”. Before this Section 1043 cabinet members and judges way up the chain had to sell off their positions in other companies that were a conflict of interest in their presently held government office. But now these officials get a onetime roll over, transferring their shares to treasury bonds or broader market funds; thus avoiding the taxes that go along with an immediate sale. Thanks George.
This means the deferment of taxes on the sale of Paulson’s 3.23 million shares equates to tens of millions of dollars. This tax shelter exists for not only almost every appointed executive, but their spouses and dependents as well. The public servant field of play is not at all reachable to the average investor. However, investors can experience no capital gains taxes on the trade of small business stock (ie. companies that have $50 million or less in assets), but everybody gets that incentive.
Fight back against the labyrinth of tax code! The best way to do so is to optimize your once a year “gift” option. If it is $13k or less no taxes will accrue. So hypothetically, you can give your kids the stock and they can sell it at a much lower tax rate. If it is to your spouse and he/she is a U.S. citizen, then due to the unlimited marital deduction you can gift any amount to them without incurring any federal gift tax or state gift tax consequences as long as the gift is of a present interest. Perfectly legal. You just need a little trust. Just know if you give more that your annual exclusion amount you’ll be looking at a gift tax.
Everything I have learned about finance and tax code has been from trial and error. What I have learned is not to just accept your fate like an animal in a snare or bear trap. These guys in DC have found a shortcut to make money. You should too.
Then write a book and make millions more and have Beck and Limbaugh sing your
praise as they DEMONIZE state workers .

Wouldn’t this be a reason for the doctor to lose their MD licenses? Let them lose them if they are more concerned about these criminals committing fraud to get out of teaching than living up the the Hippocratic Oath.

High court rules against Mt. Lebanon girl’s vaccine suit
Tuesday, February 22, 2011
By Daniel Malloy, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court today ruled against a Mt. Lebanon family in a case dealing with child vaccines, upholding limits to lawsuits against drugmakers.
In a 6-2 decision, the court ruled that the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act prohibited the family of Hannah Bruesewitz from taking their claim against drugmaker Wyeth to state court. When she was an infant, Hannah sustained violent seizures that have rendered her mute and in need of constant care, a condition the family contends was caused by a diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccine produced by Wyeth that the company later discontinued.
But the Vaccine Act established specialized no-fault vaccine courts to hear such claims. The Bruesewitz case against the Tri-Immunol vaccine was rejected in 1995, with the vaccine court ruling the family could not prove the vaccine had caused the seizures.
The family argued that a safer alternative vaccine was available at the time and it should be allowed to make its case before a state jury. Wyeth argued that such an outcome would prompt a flood of litigation and inhibit the development of new vaccines — a position upheld by the Supreme Court.
Justice Antonin Scalia wrote the majority opinion, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, Stephen Breyer and Samuel Alito. Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissented. Justice Elena Kagan, a party to the case during her time as U.S. solicitor general, abstained from hearing the case.

Abortions (murdering innocent babies) … after all, it’s “women’s rights”.
“Thus says the LORD: ‘Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. … But if you will not hear these words, I swear by Myself,’ says the LORD, ‘that this house shall become a desolation.’ ” – JER 22:3-5

You too have been brainwashed that our schools are underperforming. Let me ask you this. It is a question that no news outlet or government agency will ask. Of the countries performing better than the US in education, how many of those have large numbers of entire schools and classes where half or more of the students in a given class dont speak the native language, and further how many of those have behaviorally disordered and\or mentally handicapped kids in that same classroom? I will answer it for you and everyone else NONE OF THEM DO. Political correctness has killed our education system. We teach to the lowest common denominator and gifted and advanced kids are left wanting attention to reach their full potential.

Posted on February 22, 2011 at 10:15pmThis is fraud and and can be countered by reporting all the doctors committing it to the Wisconsin state Medical Board. Identify who the doctors are, and accumulate specific facts, including times and who the witness is. Keep the reports brief, be truthful, and just stick to the facts. Additionally, once you have identified the doctors, report this same data to hospitals where they have privileges. Hospitals will have a medical staff office where the fraud can be reported, or discuss it with the chief of staff. Do the same to any insurance companies the doctor deals with.
